I know Marie told me not to be with him, but I mean, I promised him, and she did get mad when I broke a promise, sooooo. She told Marie that she wasn't feeling very well, and thankfully she was a GREAT actress! She snuck upstairs to her laundry chute, but found that it was locked. Carp! Marie! She groaned and went back to her room, trying to figure out a way outside.

It was almost seven, and she really needed an idea. Then, a dumb idea occurred to her. She quickly opened her closet door, and grabbed all the sheets she could. I really hope this works! She ended up making a 20 foot rope, which was a little off, but not enough to break her legs, hopefully. She hooked one end to her bedpost and pulled tightly. Oh great, it didn't break. She went over to the window and, opening it, placed the silky sheets outside of it. She carefully gripped them and slid down, agonisingly slow.

She got to the end of her rope and looked down. Oh no. I can't. It's too high! Snap out of it! It's not even that high! You're being dramatic! When she was done talking to herself, she went down until she couldn't hold any longer, and let go. She hit the ground with a thud and fell back into a hedge. She could feel the thorns stick into her skin and pull, and she let out a tiny squeak.

Callie gradually got out of the hedge, and continued to spend at least five whole minutes getting thorns out of her arms and legs. When she went to go and fix her hair, she could feel she got a pretty deep cut on her neck. She quickly wiped it away, hoping it wouldn't start bleeding again. Taking a deep breath, she looked at her window and continued to go to the square.

Jogging to the square, she looked around, trying to find him through a crowd of thousands. Callie pulled out her sea cucumber phone to check what time it was. 6:57. She scanned around and found a bench to sit at. As she was walking there, someone caught her arm and pulled her into a hug.

"Hi! I didn't think that you'd make it! I thought for sure Marie boarded up everything and was watching you. She's crazy." Shark rattled on. He was wearing a brown jacket that was lined with a little bit of fur. I shoulda thought of wearing a jacket! Callie thought. She also noticed that he was wearing a maroon button up shirt, and jeans that had a black belt with a silver buckle.

"Yeah, well, she wasn't. Thanks to my great acting skills, she thinks I'm asleep and sick. I just hope it lasts a while." she explained. She chuckled a little, but when she did, the cut on her neck stung, stopping, she clutched it.

"Are you okay?" Shark asked, taking her hand. Callie nodded, but she could feel a little blood trickle down her neck. He gingerly wiped it away, with a concerned look on his face, "What happened?"

"Oh! It's nothing, I kinda…fell in a bush. I know, dumb." she admitted. He smiled and shook his head. Leading her to a tree, he grabbed blankets out of a bag and sat her down. Fishing through the bag, he pulled out a board game and some sandwiches, along with a few drinks.

He sat down right across from Callie, and passed a sandwich to her. Shark then opened the box and pulled out a game that was labelled 'Cover Your Assets.' After a while they ended up just talking about their life and random stuff.

"Callie? What are your parents like?" Shark wondered. Callie flinched at the question. She never, ever talked about her parents, since they were gone.

"Well, I-I really don't… I don't really talk about my parents." Callie said, stumbling over her words. She sat up straight and rubbed the bridge of her nose, sighing quietly. Shark rested his hand on her back, asking, "What? What's wrong? Are you okay?"

Callie smiled weakly and nodded, "Yeah, my childhood is kinda forbidden. I don't tell anyone, because it brings back terrible memories. But, I'm fine. I should get going though, Marie will find out soon. Good evening, Shark."

When she went to stand up, she stumbled, and pressed her hand to her temple. Whenever she recalled what happened to her parents, she would always get dizzy and feel sick, since she saw what happened to them. She immediately sat down, and tried to focus on a different subject. The breeze, the fireflies, anything she could think of to get it off her mind.

It had been quite a while of Callie trying to gain her confidence back, and by this time the stars were well above the sky. Shark had wrapped his arm around her and she was resting her head on his chest, finally calming down. He had covered her with his jacket and they sat there, looking at the stars, and pointing out constellations.

Marie's PoV

Callie told her that she wasn't feeling well, so she started to make some ramen. She asked Callie if she was hungry, but she didn't get an answer. Huh, she must be resting. She went back downstairs and played a few rounds of chess with Four. Of the five matches they played, Marie only won two. Wow! Four's gotten good.

"Well-played, Four. But, it's well past your bedtime. Come on, let's go." Marie said sleepily. Standing up she stretched and scooped up a half-asleep Four. Wishing Four a good night, she went to go check how late it really was. 11:15. Weird, Callie's been quiet for hours, and that's NEVER a good thing.

She went up the stairs quite noiselessly, hoping that Four wouldn't wake up. Softly knocking on Callie's door, she asked, "Callie? Are you okay? You've been quiet for a while, and I just wanna check in." With no response, she opened the door, and noticed that her window was open with a rope of sheets dangling from it. Oh no she didn't! That little liar! Who knows what kind of trouble she could be in!

Grabbing a jacket, she bolted out the door, searching for Callie. She was cursing under her breath and growling, ticked that Callie had one, lied to her, and TWO, SNUCK OUT OF THE APARTMENT! Her brows furrowed, she looked around, and locked eyes with Callie. She started running toward her while Callie frantically tried to get up without disturbing the man she was with. Callie had run for about a yard before Marie grabbed her arm and yanked her aside.

"What do you think you're doing!? You've been gone all day! What, or should I say who is so important that you had to sneak out of the apartment and lie to me! You never do that! Ever since… since he showed up! You've done everything you were supposed to, you wouldn't disobey anyone who you trusted, you wouldn't sneak out of the apartment and you would always be in the apartment before dark if you were out! What's gotten into you?" Marie demanded.

Callie just shrugged, "I dunno, but why won't you let me just like the guy? It's not like he's bad. Why don't you let me just have a relationship?" Marie glared, dragging Callie back to the apartment.

"I wouldn't mind so much if he wasn't causing you to act like a stupid teenager! You don't listen anymore and don't follow rules! For heaven's sake you even went to jail! Until you can prove that you CAN start doing things like you need to, then I will let you!" They had just reached their floor and Marie was looking for her keys, but she never heard the clanking sound.

"Aw carp! I left the keys inside!" Marie swore. She knocked on the door, and miraculously, she heard a tiny voice behind the door. Marie's head shot up, "Four! You blessed child! Can you reach the lock on the door?"

"Mom? What're you doing out there? But no, I can't reach it. My stubby little legs are too short." Four answered, pressing her mouth to the bottom of the door.

"Okay, then you need to get the keys. They are upstairs in my room, and you'll need to go to the right side of my bed. There, you will find my nightstand, and on that you will find the keys. Once you have them, I need you to slip them under the door. Okay?"

"Okay, Mom! Let's seeee…. Which room is yours?"

"Go upstairs, and it's the last door on the left, right by the bathroom."

"But it's scary over there! There are monsters in the bathroom! Callie said so!" Four whined. Marie sighed and said some comforting words. Comforting words like, 'Callie's an idiot and you should never listen to her' and 'She's a liar.' Taking a huge, exaggerated breath, Four exclaimed, "Okay, Mom!"

Four's PoV

Okay! Mom said to go upstairs to the room by the deathroom! I mean bathroom! Four stomped up the stairs with her chest puffed out and a grimace plastered on her face. She slowly made it up the stairs, and peeked her head around the corner. The hallway was dark, the only thing lighting the way was the faint glow of the night-light in the bathroom.

It's okay! You can do this, Four! There's no such thing as monsters! Carefully tip-toeing to Marie's room, Four screamed when she heard a small creeeeaak. She looked in the room only to find that it was the wind pushing the door. Phew! Backing up, she raced into Marie's room. It was really dark, and she couldn't really see anything.

Looking up, she found the light switch. She tried to reach it, but even when she jumped, she couldn't reach it. Okay, this looks like a super scary mission! Just run until you find the table, grab the keys, and run down the stairs before anything can get you! With a small battle cry, she ran and rammed right into the nightstand. Shaking her head, she felt around for the keys. But she didn't feel metal, she felt something that immediately crawled away.

"EEEEEEEEKKK! She ran out the door but skidded to a halt before she ran downstairs. Don't be a scaredy cat! Just go back! Repeating her last attempt, she finally got the keys and bolted down the stairs, tripping over her own feet in the process. She crashed to the bottom with a loud thunk, but quickly stood up and slid the keys under the door.

Unfortunately, she pushed them too hard because she could hear Marie cry, "NO! NOT THE KEYS!" and hear the clanking of them falling down the flight of stairs. Taking about ten minutes, she could hear the lock getting worked on. A few seconds later, Marie and Callie came waltzing in. Marie immediately picked Four up into a giant hug and thanked her for getting the keys,

"Uh-huh! I know, I'm awesome!" Four giggled, which was followed by a humongous yawn, "Goodnight, Mom." She walked back to her room and flung herself on her bed, not worrying about getting under the covers. It's a good thing that dream woke me up, otherwise Mom and Callie would be stuck out there all night! She quickly dozed off to sleep.

Callie's PoV

"Look, I'm sorry, okay!" Callie huffed. She was annoyed that Marie cared so much. Like, why doesn't she want her to be in love? It's not like she knows anything about it. Or… does she?

"You're not sorry, is the thing! You-" Marie started to chastise Callie, but got cut off with her asking the strangest question, "What do you know about love?"

Marie sat wide eyed, and stuttered, "I-I-Well, you see. I was once in a… a-uh. Thing." Now it was Callie's turn to look shocked. She was in a.,. A what?

"You were? With who?"

"Doesn't matter. He's uh, he's working for DJ Octavio."

Callie was so confused. Should I know this guy? I mean, I myself have worked for him. She went to ask, but decided she wouldn't, and just leave the whole situation alone. All she wanted to do was prove to Marie that she could be with Shark.

Author's Note: Hey, I'm so sorry that I haven't posted anything in something like three to four days. I've been really busy with school and auditioning for a play, so I completely forgot about this! My apologies. I hope you all have a wonderful day! This was the first time I've ever written something that has different PoVs, and I'm really proud of this chapter!

P.S. I'm kinda running out of ideas, so if any of you viewers have any ideas, that would be great. I'm not sure when this will end, but I'm really hoping it won't be too long, because I want to write different things. If I don't post anything within a day, just assume that I am busy with school. Until I post again, goodbye! 😀
