Gadget set a pylon down atop the deeper well stairs, causing the build timer to activate. Celesterra checked the map. "Looks like we're up against King And Queen Slime, a pair of giant slimes who are extremely flammable." Scribble grinned, having an idea. "What if I coat a bunch of Cerene's arrows in paint thinner to make them fire arrows?" Justin took that idea to the next level. "Yes! We can do the same with my bowling ball turret to assist in guarding the stairs since Magie's fireball towers can only presumably do so much at once!" Karma placed her hands on her hips. "That's honestly so stupid that it might actually work!" Jing placed fire auras in front of the giant creep door behind the pylon. Magie and Gadget kept fire extinguishers on standby, hoping that only the slimes would catch ablaze.
The creep doors pushed open like a bathroom mirror whose door hinges are jammed with toothpaste. A multicolored flood of slimes came tumbling in with the energy of a dropped cardboard box overflowing with rubber balls. Justin thrust his sword forward. "OPEN FIRE!" Flammable paint, fireballs, and spontaneously combusting bowling balls cascaded down the cobblestone stairs, igniting the gelatinous thugs within seconds. Magie was confused. "Don't they know to stop, drop, and roll?" Gadget shook his head. "That only puts the fire out if the fire can't use any oxygen. With how fast they are bouncing around, they might as well ask us to fan the flames."
Crash! The door behind the Pylon broke open, with a pair of blackened slimes bobbling through. The King's voice warbled. "So, you managed to blaze your way through my army in record time without pyro-erratically caving the entire place in. It seems we almost underestimated you!" Queen Slime leered, "BUT we're LAVA Slimes, and that's not a substance that you can simply extinguish or smother with water and ice." Celesterra poked Queen Slime, suffering a first-degree burn. Gadget's eyes went wide. "Terra, NO!" Scribble pulled Gadget back. "She's gotta do it, dude, it's part of her family curse or something like that."
Balling her hand into a fist, she lunged at King Slime and punched him. King slime roared with rage, but she roared with determination, heliotrope energy surging up her arm and throughout her body. The next thing everyone knew, Celesterra had become a half plant, half Lovecraftian being around the size of an elephant. "You're lucky I don't become a gory Wall of Flesh like dad or a carnivorous "Planterra" FlowerBulb like mom. And yes, Magie, and Gadget, I'll be okay." Their Slimy majesties flubbed towards the door. "Oh, look at that, we're being summoned, see you, kids, later!"
Jing spoke, failing to notice everyone else's shock at him doing so. "Well, that just happened."
