I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.
Many years pass after the birth of Lincoln Loud. During those years; Lincoln received lots of love from both of his parents and sisters, along with having a close relationship with Angus who filled in as an uncle-type figure for him. His sister's just loved to play with him and teach him several key important things such as: Luna teaching Lincoln how to do a rock pose with his fingers, Luan taught him how to tell her best jokes, Leni taught him how to solve a shape puzzle that admittedly she learned more on how to use it herself, Lynn taught him how to play catch, and Lori helped him try to walk when he was big enough to start it.
His sister's are also a bit overprotective with him, since he is the youngest and the only boy in the family. Heaven help you if you dare make Lincoln cry while their in the area, such as how a local bully had learned the hard way when he pushed a two year old Lincoln down in the local Loch Loud park right in front of his sister Lynn.
His parents have also given him love and attention; from his mother who read him bedtime stories and gave him his beloved stuffed rabbit: Bun-Bun. To his dad, who he is more closer to as he gives him the first taste of his famous dishes, played games with him, and of course placed his crown on his head one day while they were sitting on his thrown chair, telling him on how one day that crown will be his along with the castle. Of course Lincoln barely paid attention during that time as he had been too focused on chewing on his teething ring.
Eventually his days of being the youngest Loud was over, once his mother gave birth to his spooky little sister: Lucy. Then four more girls came into the world, giving the residents of Loch Loud their dream of a large family with ten girls and one boy a reality. Lincoln loved his little sisters and they loved him as well thanks to his kind nature. However as expected with such a large family, even if they were royalty. Chaos and loudness erupted from the castle with sounds of rock music, chemical explosions, arguing, voices talking all at once, and the running of footsteps. It is really good though that they don't have to share a bathroom, plus with each sibling having their own rooms, they have all the space they can use for their hobbies that they gladly do show to the village at times.
One rainy night. As everyone is asleep in their warm, comfy beds. Lucy is wide awake for how could she sleep on such a dreary night, one of her favorite types of nights, right next to nights of the full moon.
Standing near her window to look out at the rain pelting against the roof of her family's castle. If only there were some lightning and thunder right now, this night would be even more perfect than how it already is tonight. Regardless of the lack of creepiness, it was still a nice night for spirit talk with her ancestors, something that she loved to do as they were her friends who she can always turned to when she wants to talk about the supernatural, something that her family gets too freaked out about when she brings it up to them.
Walking away from the window towards a circle of lit candles. Lucy sat herself down in a cross legged position with her hands on her knees as her fingers formed a ring. Feeling ready on communication with the dead, Lucy begins the ritual by humming. "Oh great spirits of beyond." She began with an ominous tone.
"Please answer me as I try and contact my long distant ancestor of the yesteryears. Lucille, please answer me." The candles suddenly began to flicker as a cold wind blew through the room. A smile appeared on Lucy's face for Lucille is here, she can sense her moving towards her bedside desk where a photo of her family stood upon.
"Yes my brother is growing more into a Duke each day. Dad is going to be showing him the kingdom come morning light, which Lincoln is really looking forward to."
Going dead silent, Lucy listens carefully to the space where Lucille is hovering in. "Yes. I believe he's going to be a great Duke as your brother once was, but I hope he doesn't let the power go to his head as that's always brings the downfall to someone of power."
Listening carefully to her ancestor Lucy slowly chuckled as Lucille had said something rather very amusing. "Yes, indeed. This is a great night to be outside."
The rain storm eventually passes in the early hours of the mornings. Leaving behind many puddles and mud that Lana will really want to play in later before they dry up and it also leaves behind fresh wet grass for the Shepard's sheep's to graze on. It wasn't until much later in the morning when the sun is beginning to rise over the horizon that Lincoln awoken from his sleep.
Waking himself up, Lincoln sees the golden color outlines of his windows on his walls from the light of the sun. Sitting himself up with a bit of a stretch, Lincoln gets out of bed and goes into his bathroom first for hygiene and other uses. After doing that and getting himself dressed, Lincoln went over to his double glass windows to have a look out to the castle's courtyard, along with the colors of sunrise in the sky.
This is his most favorite part of the morning. Looking out through these windows to watch the increasing sunrise. The absolute best time to this is during the winter season as the snow is beautiful when it covers the courtyard.
Looking over slightly to the left, although he couldn't really see it from here, somewhere in that general area is the dragon cave where the family's dragon: Lela is probably still sleeping in as of this moment. She had hatched when his youngest sister: Lilly had been born and ever since then she has been a very loyal pet to the family, there's her huge appetite to consider, but that's easily fixed with his dad's special dragon food.
Anyway today is a big day for Lincoln as his dad is going to show him everything in the village and explain why it's so important. Lincoln's been down at the village plenty of times before in his life, but this is supposed to be for educational purposes.
"Kids! Breakfast!" His mother called out. Shortly afterwards the distant voices of his sisters could faintly be heard as they came out of their rooms and headed their way to the dinning hall. His stomach then growls for food, which he can go for as he is sure that his father's lecture going to be after breakfast anyway, since cooking is his favorite pass time.
Heading out of his room, Lincoln travels around the banister that overlooked the main hall before finally reaching the stairs where he headed down them and into the dining hall where his sisters and mother are already sitting at the table, eating away at the banquets of cereal, toast with butter, pancakes, hash browns, eggs, and bacon.
"So I said to Bobby that Myrtle's new hair color is really something to look at." Lori told Leni who nodded happily. "Totes! Blue hair, like totally matches with her eyes."
"Really looking forward to preform at the bandstand in the park later this week. Really going to rock the house down." Luna exclaimed to Luan as she held her custom made bagpipes. Luan laughs in response as she held up her dummy; Mr. Coconuts. "Well me and Mr. Coconuts are going to laugh people right out of their kilts. When I start telling my jokes."
"Sure dude." Luna responded while looking down to her bagpipes.
"The Loch Loud tennis team are going to really dominate this year. I can feel it in my guts." A fart just then escapes from Lynn, which flowed its way over to Lola who heaved in disgust. "Gross! Apparently it's not just your guts, you clod!"
"It rain so perfectly last night. It created the perfect form of mud for me to play in." Lana happily said.
"Indeed" Lucy agreed. "Last night's weather had been perfect to communicate with my friends."
"I appreciate if you two don't talk about this while I'm eating." Lisa suddenly butted in. Nearby Lilly happily smashed her hands against her eggs.
Taking a seat at the far end of the table. Lincoln picks up a fork and knife and began to cut his own eggs. "Morning guys."
"Morning Lincoln." His sisters all greeted.
Beginning to eat his food, Lincoln took a couple bites of his pancakes when his mother addresses him. "So I heard that your going to be taking a tour of the village with your father, sweetie."
"Oh yeah. I forgot that dad is going to be explaining everything about the kingdom." Lynn said after swallowing up her bacon. "Isn't he going to be explaining about the fishing trade or something?"
"Sounds boring." Lola commented.
"Actually Lola." Lisa interjected. "It's actually very fascinating to learn about, not to mention very important for our village."
"Oh yeah. Nothing is more important than smelly fish." Lola sarcastic remarked in disgust.
"The smellier the better." Lana stated proudly.
"You can say that it's a slippery job." Luan joked as she playfully elbowed Lucy who remained still and silent.
"Oh, your going to have totes tons of fun with dad." Leni happily exclaimed with her hands clasped in front of her chest.
"Dad's definitely excited for it." Lincoln admitted, recalling on how giddy his dad showed as the day approached during the last couple days of the week.
"It's all he's talking about." Rita softly laughed for he spent half of the night talking about this educational tour he's going to be doing with Lincoln. "Please pay close attention to his lectures Lincoln. This means a lot to him, it's also going to be very important for you in the future."
"Don't worry mom. I'll pay very close attention." Lincoln promised before going back to his meal along with the rest of his family who all continue to chat with each other.
After breakfast Lincoln met up with his dad at the foot of the stairs. His dad had a great smile on his face, due to all of the excitement he felt. "You ready son?"
"Sure am dad."
"Great! Let's begin with this shall we." Leading his son up the stairs and then through the West Wing, they entered the library where the still rising sun can be seen over the village of Loch Loud. To Lincoln it is quite a site, almost like a movie scene, but he didn't get to look at it for long though as his dad pulled down the blinds. "Phew! The light was getting in my eyes. Now where is it?"
Looking through a desk, Lynn eventually found on what he is searching for. Pulling it out from the desk, Lincoln sees that his dad had pulled out a map that he brought over to a table and spread it out to show the entire area of Loch Loud. Getting himself down to his son's level, Lynn points to the village and began. "Everything you see on this map is our kingdom. As a Duke its our job to maintain it as well as to make everyone happy who lives here. Someday my time as Duke will be over and then you will take my place as the new Duke."
"So everything will be mine?" Lincoln questioned.
"Will the land and technically only the area on this map of it. But yes, you'll rule it and go wherever you please, which is pretty cool am I right?"
It sure is dad." Looking over the map, Lincoln looked at every spot that he can go to: from the docks, the village center, and the cliff's that overlooked the seas. One spot on the map however greatly curious Lincoln, slowly he points his finger to the East side of the map. "What about that place?"
Looking to where his son is pointing at, Lynn got serious very quickly as well as feeling a bit of dread. "That is beyond are boarders son. It's also a very dangerous place, you must never go over there."
"But don't Dukes get to go wherever they want?" Lincoln asked as that what he always thought. Earning a few chuckles from his father who playfully ruffles his hair. "Oh son. There's more to being a Duke than getting whatever you want."
"There's more?" Lincoln asked earning another chuckle from his father. "Oh yes. You gotta think more on how to help the people, if a Duke thinks more of himself, the whole kingdom can end up in chaos."
Thinking hard about what his dad said, Lincoln nodded for he understood on what his dad is explaining to him. Lynn could see his son thinking about his lecture and thought that this was a good of a chance if any to show him the fishing trades and other areas of the Loch Loud docks.
Seagulls flew overhead Lincoln and Lynn who are walking down the path towards the village. "So you see Lincoln, the fishing trades we do not only helps us with filling up our bellies, but also gives the village it's revenue from not only other countries, but also other villages in Scotland." Lynn explained.
"So are fish the only things we trade with?" Lincoln further question.
"Oh no. We also trade several produce from the farms and meat products. Oh, and wool from our sheep." Stopping near the cliff side, Lynn looked down to the village with a smile. "In a way, we are all connected to the world."
Lincoln stands right next to his dad and looked down to the village as well, scratching his chin a bit. "Huh. I never thought about it that way." Together father and son continue to look down at the village, where several fishing boats can be seen sailing away to begin their day of fishing.
"Good morning sire and young Lincoln." Turning around they spot Angus approaching with a smile. "Ah, good morning Angus. What's the news of the village today?"
"Oh well. Mrs. Donglus has made her lovely shepherd's pie, Mr. Talbot had a bit of a problem keeping his sheep in the fields, oh and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson displayed several lovely paintings on their store front windows." Angus cheerfully grin from that last part as those were some really great paintings that he saw.
"That's great Angus. I was just showing Lincoln here the wonders of the village, in fact I just explained about our trading business." Lynn happily explained to him.
"That's very good sire. There's nothing like teaching today's youth on aspects of how our village works." Angus then thought of something else that is also very beneficial for Lincoln's education. "Are you going to teach him the great history of our village?"
"That's on the next agenda." Lynn replied.
"Very good sire. I also gotta say something else." Angus now goes into a talk about on how the castle hedge has been trimmed, then they both started to proceed to talk about stuff that Lincoln isn't really interested in, so as they talked Lincoln looked back to the village where he couldn't help but think about the forbidden place that his dad mention earlier. Despite the fact that his dad told him that the place is dangerous, he couldn't help but be a little curious about the place.
He is only brought out of his thoughts when a phone suddenly rang from Angus's shirt pocket. "Oops. Excuse me sire."
"No worries Angus."
Pulling out his phone, Angus answers his call with joy in his voice. "Hello?" Listening to his call, Angus's smile slowly formed into a frown of worry. "Oh dear. Yes, I shall inform him right away." Ending the call with a polite goodbye, Angus puts away his phone and looked to Lynn with fear.
"What is it Angus?" Lynn worriedly asked.
"There are delinquents in Loch Loud. I'm afraid sire." Angus replied in panic.
"What! Where are they?" Lynn question as he got completely serious for this is a code red issue.
"They're in the park, vandalizing are beautiful statue of the first Duke." He informed.
"Right." Turning to his son who is very much alarmed over the sudden urgency. Lynn places a hand on his shoulder. "Lincoln I'm very sorry, but I'm afraid that our little tour must be cut short."
"Can't I come with you?" Lincoln asked for he wanted to see this action.
"Sorry son, but this is much too dangerous. Please head back to the castle, you'll be safe in there." Looking back to the worrying Angus, Lynn needed to take action now before those vile delinquents cause any more damage. "Angus. Inform the authorities about this."
Lynn then quickly runs off towards the village, leaving behind Lincoln and Angus who the latter is calling the authorities of the trouble that's happening in the park. "Yes it's in the park. You'll be there in an instant, alright thank you very much."
After putting away his phone, Angus looked down to Lincoln who is very disappointed that he wasn't going with his dad on this sudden action. Placing a comforting hand on Lincoln's shoulder, Angus smiled down at him. "Don't worry about it young sire. Delinquents are nothing more, but young ruffians who love nothing more than to destroy the things we hold dear."
"I just hope that I get to see action like that someday." Heading back towards the castle, Angus gently leads him towards it all the while Lincoln looked back towards the path his father had ran down. Wondering on how he is going to deal with the delinquent situation at the park? Was he and the local authorities sending those delinquents to the hills? Man, he wished that he could see the action?
Maybe he'll see it one day in the future. As he is very sure that his dad would want him to learn about defending the village from the trouble. But while Lincoln walked across the drawbridge, he also thought about the forbidden place.
