Raven was helping Cyborg clean the car, her more mild punishment for agreeing to be Beast Boy's "partner in crime" a few days ago. With about as much passion as an apoplectic sloth, she continued to wipe the windows with his specially formulated glass cleaner as the soft jazz music played in the background.
Raven kept checking the door, straining her ears to hear familiar footsteps and to sense that comforting presence. She hoped he remembered to get the Junior Mints this time.
"So what movie are we watching tonight?"
"We?"
"Oh sorry I meant Beast Boy and I". Cyborg rolled his eyes. "But since you're probably more likely to know…has he picked a movie yet".
Raven glared at him.
Cyborg just smiled to himself, watching his two best friends drown in denial has become his new favorite yet frustrating past time.
"Why would I know?"
"Didn't you guys have breakfast together this morning?"
Raven's browed furrowed. She didn't know what he was trying to imply here.
As if on cue to save the day, Beast Boy came barreling down the hallway.
"DUDES"
They both perked up upon seeing a flash of green appear in their view.
"Junior mints, popcorn, beef jerky (his eyes slit for a quick second), almond M&Ms, twizzlers, 7 layer dip, tortilla chips annnndddddd 'The Black Narcissus'!"
Beast Boy held up a blank DVD cover proudly.
"I've been looking everywhere for this! It's a beautifully directed, slightly problematic, psychological drama made by one of the more impressive teams of screen writer and cinematographer that ever came together!" He announced this with a puffed chest and a shit eating grin.
Raven's eyes lit up as Cyborg eyed him curiously.
"This is what you picked BB? I thought Frank just brought in a whole collection of Nicholas Cage action films"
"Yeah! But I've been asking him to try and get this one in for like weeks now ever since we watched 'The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp'. It looks really cool."
Cyborg chuckled "Alright well Raven we're pretty much done here so you can head out. Beast Boy and I are going to head to ops and check out this movie"
Raven's eyes shot between the two titans before letting them know:
"I'll probably read in the common room if you don't have the volume up too loud"
Beast Boy and Cyborg chuckled to each other as they started walking away, knowing full well their teammate wouldn't be far behind. Just like how she hadn't been the last 20 times they've had a "Beast Boy and Cyborg Movie Night Extravaganza".

The three of them have always had a strong connection, and a rich and fun dynamic that carried them through most of the trials and tribulations of being a superhero. It's been especially solidified now that Robin and Starfire are dating, as the couple has been spending some much deserved time alone with each other. Beast Boy does things with Cyborg while Raven joins in and pretends like she doesn't want to be there. The mecha is the boisterous, big hearted, big brother and the younger two wouldn't have it any other way.
However this brotherly affection wasn't quite the right label to explain the dynamic between those aforementioned Titans. They had a solid banter but an even more tangible chemistry if you asked Cyborg. What they also had was an undue level of denial that neither wanted to bring their heads above. Case in point:
Raven always always sat next to Beast Boy. This statement can be classified as fact as Cyborg has been moving around and noting that whether he be to the right or the left of the changeling, she would grace his other side. Once (in the pursuit of science) Cyborg sat square in the middle, forcing Beast Boy into the left corner of the couch. Raven had the audacity to then ask if she could have that side and Beast Boy move down to the middle since her "neck was sore" and "it would get worse unless she could lean against that arm rest." Cyborg gave her an odd look as he was then forced back along the length of the couch, filing away this little nugget of evidence. Curious she hadn't just asked BB to move to the other side.
Beast Boy always always made sure to bring one if not three of Raven's "secret favorite" snack foods. Both male Titans know what her secret favorites are by the fact that ne're a junior mint nor twizzlers would make it into their stomachs, and you had to act quick if you wanted a worthwhile amount of the 7-layer dip. How else did they know that these three were the object of her affections? Well…because Beast Boy has spent 20 movie nights finding out. Cyborg would watch as Beast Boy watched what Raven would eat the most of. The shapeshifter would also then randomly remove one suspected favorite to see if she would look for it. Last week when she dug through the pile, obviously looking for Junior Mints he had "forgotton", there was a soft frown on her face. Beast Boy then knew that one was part of the trifecta. And low and behold those peppermint chocolate discs have made their appearance again.
This same diligence is how more and more their movie nights started to rotate in films that would cause the sorceress to put down her book and gaze wide eyed at the screen. If Cyborg hadn't known Beast Boy for 7 years now, he could have sworn there was some sort of spreadsheet he had carefully documenting Raven's miniscule reactions to certain scenes, genres, directors, etc. all being used to find movies that would make her drop her book. This drives him to search deeper and deeper into the depths of the ocean of cinema, pulling out some of the weirdest films Cyborg has ever seen. How else would they have ended up watching a romantic drama war film and now a movie about I think these might be nuns? Don't get me wrong Cyborg would do anything for his little sister, but he wouldn't do that. This level of devotion and mad ambition to foster her enjoyment was something far beyond brotherly.
He looked over at the pair in earnest, watching them comfortably pass each other food and make little quips and comments about each other and the film. He would smile, she would not smile. She would then turn away and secretly smile. He would gaze adoringly at her then snap his head away if he caught on to Cyborg looking. This little substory would continue to play overtop the trio's group jokes and mutual love, as the half robot waited and waited for the other shoe to drop.
Raven by now has abandoned her book and tucked into the movie snacks. Beast Boy and Cyborg would pretend that she hadn't as they all settled in to watch a dream like story play out before them on a big silver screen.

A/N: If there's something I love besides BBRAE its the cute AF friendship they have with Cyborg. I was hoping to catch the same energy of the infamous wet willy scene in the Mad Mod episode in how the trio exists in this story. Also 10/10 the head canon that Cyborg knows the two are in love before they do.
