If was night time. Lexie was sitting on her couch. Her phone rang a specific ring. It indicated she had a video call. She pressed the button and Kristen popped up on the screen.

"Hi." Kristen said.

"Hi." Lexie said,

Stuart came down the stairs off camera.

"I'm not interrupting anything am I?"

"No."

"Want me to make some popcorn baby?" Stuart asked from the kitchen.

"Yes." Lexie said.

"Hi Stuart." Kristen said.

"Hi Kristen." Stuart said.

"Your present is going to be late Lexie."

"I tell you every year you don't have to buy me a gift." Lexie said. "It's not important."

"Your birthday is an important thing."

"Her what?" Stuart said surprised.

"Lexie, he doesn't know your birthday is on Friday?"

"I do now, thanks."

"You're welcome."

Stuart came in with the popcorn.

"I have to go, we're watching a movie." Lexie said. "Bye."

"Bye." Kristen said. They disconnected.

Stuart sat down next to Lexie with the popcorn bowl. She turned to him.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Why didn't you tell me about your birthday?"

"I didn't want you to make a big deal." "I've never told any of my boyfriends about my birthday." "Don't tell anyone."

On Friday Lexie went into work. She planned on doing paperwork.

"Happy birthday Lexie." Omar said.

"Thanks." "Remind me to kill Scola when he gets here."

"Happy birthday." Jubal said.

"Thank you."

Stuart came in, "Happy birthday Lexie."

"Thanks."

Lexie sent a text to Stuart. It read.

I told you not to tell anyone. We are not having sex tonight. That's your punishment. – Lexie

I guess I'll just have to talk you into it. – Stuart

Not a chance. – Lexie

Not even if I bring a can of whipped cream again? – Stuart

We'll talk about it. – Lexie

"We just got an alert." Jubal said.

Lexie and Stuart were tracking two suspects that ran into a parking garage. Stuart got the first one. Lexie was looking for the second one. He came out from behind two cars. He was about seven feet tall. He blindsided her and picked her up off the ground. She dropped her gun. He slammed her back first on to a car windshield.

"Freeze!" Stuart said with his gun on him.

Lexie was checked out at the hospital. She had a sprained wrist.

Stuart had driven Lexie home. It was night time by the time they got there.

"I know you're gonna kill me, but I have presents for you." "They're in my trunk." He went to get them. He came back in holding a rectangular wooden box. He sat down next to her. "Lift up the lid."

When she did a little ballerina started to dance and Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata started to play. She looked over and saw an aquamarine birthstone ring. "This is so sweet." She said tearfully.

"Don't cry."

She hugged and kissed him. "Thank you."

"You're welcome."
