Stuart was in his kitchen.
"Baby, do you want a coffee or a cappuccino?" Stuart asked.
"Cappuccino please honey." She said coming down the stairs. She came into the kitchen.
"Last night was great." They kissed.
"Yeah, you were incredible, like always."
"Here's your cappuccino baby."
"Thank you." She went into the living room and sat down on the couch.
Stuart made himself a coffee and went and sat down next to her.
"I love mornings like this." Lexie said.
"Me to."
"Lexie when are we gonna start telling people about us?"
"Not yet."
"When then?"
"I don't know."
"It's been almost four months Lexie."
"I know."
"Did you or did you not say, once we decided what this was, we would tell people?"
"I did."
"Then why do you keep saying no?"
"It's just not the right time."
"When's it gonna be the right time?" He asked getting irritated. "When we're together six months, a year, if I ask you to marry me someday?" "When?"
"Is it really that important to you to tell the people we work with about us?"
"It's not just about the people we work with." "Nobody, other then Kristen knows about us." "I want to move forward in our relationship." "I feel like you want to hide me away."
"That's not true Stuart."
"Well it feels like it."
"It's not."
"It feels like you're just, screwing agent Scola."
"You know I was joking when I said that."
"I thought you were, at first."
"I can't believe you think that."
"Well I do." "Maybe you don't want to tell people because sex is all you want."
"What?" "No."
"I don't think you're as serious about me, as I am about you."
"Yes I am."
"I don't believe you." "You don't l- They both got a text. He checked his. "We've gotta go."
They acted professional and did their jobs but there was tension between Lexie and Stuart all day.
Lexie was at home later that night having a glass of wine.
"It's me." Stuart said coming in the front door. He sat down next to her on the couch. "Give me a time we can tell people about us."
"I can't."
"Then I can't do this anymore."
"Are you breaking up with me?"
"Yes."
"Fine."
"Fine." He got up and left. They were both devastated.
Lexie was back in the basement sitting on the bed. Stuart was in the far corner of the room but started going up the stairs. Emmett was watching them.
"Stuart, please don't go." Lexie said. "I- "I- It felt like her voice was locked and she couldn't say what she wanted to. Stuart left the basement.
"I love you." Emmett said mockingly. "You're so afraid to say it, you can't even do it here." "You let the first man you ever loved go because I fucked you up so bad." "Like I said, you'll never be happy." "He never loved you anyway." "He never said it."
Lexie woke up. She sat up and started crying. She was thinking of Stuart.
