Stuart didn't take Omar's advice. It had now been a month since the break up. Lexie and Stuart were still in pain and missed each other like crazy. Lexie was at home. She was doing something she'd been putting off. She was packing up Stuart's things he had left at her house. She was softly crying as she did. Among those things were pajamas, clothes, mouthwash, razors and shampoo. She put it all in a bag and wrote a note.

On her way to the gym Lexie stopped by Stuart's house. She knew he was home because his car was in the driveway. She thought about knocking but just decided to leave it on the doorstep.

When Stuart came out twenty minutes later he saw the bag and note. The note read.

I think this is everything you had at my place. If not, let me know. -Lexie

The next day at the office Lexie was walking passed the elevator and Stuart was just getting off of it.

"Hey Lex." He said.

"Hey."

"Everything was there." "Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"I'll get your stuff back to you as soon as I can."

"No rush."

That same day the team was tracking a man who had abducted a nine year old girl two days prior. It was found that he was a friend of the family. Lexie and Stuart were driving to the suspect's house to arrest him. Stuart was driving. He saw Lexie was agitated and held her hand.

"Try your breathing and counting exercises." He said. They both counted to ten. "Deep slow long breaths." She did. "Good." "Again."

Lexie and Stuart found the girl in an upstairs bedroom tied to the bed. They could visibly see seminal fluid on her. For Lexie it was like looking in a mirror.

After the man was arrested Lexie found a secluded spot the house and quietly started crying. She didn't see him come up to her but Stuart hugged her. She squeezed him.

"Shh, I know baby, I know." He said. "Don't cry, it's ok."

Later that night Lexie was at home. Her phone rang and she was surprised to see it was Stuart. They didn't talk outside of work since the break up.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hi." He said.

"Hi."

"I was worried about you." "I know we're not together anymore but I still care about you."

"I'm ok." "I had an emergency video session with Dr. Price when I got home."

"Good."

"Stuart I feel so bad for that little girl."

"So do I."

"It could scar the poor thing for life." "To the point where she can't get out of her own head." "And it drives her boyfriend away and she was to stupid to stop him."

"Lexie-

"I have to go." She said with tears coming down her cheeks.

"No, Lexie- She hung up.
