30 Worlds: Royal Megaforce, Episode Final: "Masters of the Ultimate Power"

BOOK THREE*CHAPTER SEVEN

William and Koska made their way through the museum in an attempt to find Benji and Mal. "Koska, I'm receiving a text message from Mal," William said in Mandalorian battle language, while activating his tactical sunglasses.

Then, still speaking in Mandalorian battle language, William read the text message on the display. "'King William, we are at the exhibits for George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry, but I don't know how much longer we can hold out,'" William read before switching the display to a map of the museum.

"Show me the location of the exhibits for George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry," William said. The map on his display projected a dotted line from William and Koska's positions to the specified exhibits.

"Let's go," William said.

Mal and Benji crouched behind a display case that held a collection of memorabilia from Star Trek. Benji whispered to Mal, "Why haven't they fired in the last few minutes?"

"Perhaps they are recharging their weapons," Mal said. "We need to stay in cover until William and Koska get here."

Then, as if on cue, a familiar voice called out, "Megaforce Change! 80!" Then, a bright red and white beam of light blinded everyone in the room. In the confusion, Mal and Benji felt hands grip their arms. "Princess Consort Mal, Agent Dunn, we need to get out of here while Battle-Father has the A.I.C. forces distracted!" a voice said. "Hold on to me! William will be transporting us to his vehicle in a few moments!"

Even without seeing her, Mal and Benji knew that Koska had a hold of them. The next thing they knew, Benji and Mal felt themselves dissolve and reform outside the museum building.

Mal's vision finally cleared, allowing her to see Koska. "Thank you for rescuing us, Koska," Mal said.

"It was not just me, but you're welcome," Koska said.

William looked at Benji. "Benji, what did Agent Brandt have to say?" William asked.

"He didn't," Benji said. "Bill wasn't there. Mal and I realized it was a trap to get rid of two Grand Key components, but before we could contact you for pick-up, we were attacked."

Mal nodded her confirmation of Benji's testimony. William nodded, then extended his hands and closed his eyes.

In a gust of red mist, the museum was completely repaired. "Get in the Jeep, guys." William said. "We need to get out of here before the A.I.C. shows up." Koska, Mal and Benji followed William into the Jeep and quickly left the museum grounds.

Back on Gavan's Glory II, Sofia frowned as William and Koska strode into the control room. "William, are you all right?" Sofia said.

"We all are," William said.

"That's good," Sofia said. Then, putting her hand on her stomach, she said. "Don't want to raise Scarlett as a single mother."

"What do you mean?" William said.

Phineas smiled at William. "Sofia asked me to run a medical exam to see if the fetus is all right, considering Queen Scarlett's enchantment," Phineas said. "Not only is it all right, it's a girl."

"And before you ask, Sofia told us all that she's pregnant," Ethan said. "She believed that there should be no secrets between the lot of us."

"I see," William said. "Well, now that I have a family to fight for, we need to find out just what the hell is going on and get the A.I.C. driven out of this world."

"I can help with that," Ethan said. "There is an I.M.F. cache near the TARDIS landing site, similar to the one we used after President Obama invoked Ghost Protocol a few weeks back."

"Are you recommending that we raid the cache and deprive the A.I.C. of a tactical advantage?" Zenon said.

"More than that," William said. "Gavan's Glory II, do you have a location reading on William Brandt?"

"Affirmative, Grand Shield," Gavan's Glory II said. "Agent Brandt is presently five miles from our current position. Placing map on holographic display."

A holographic map appeared in mid-air with a blinking dot marked "William Brandt" marking Brandt's position. "That's the location of the I.M.F. cache," Ethan said.

"Brandt to King William," Brandt's voice said. "I have secured the contents of the cache, as Ethan recommended."

William shot a look at Ethan. "You planned this," William said.

Ethan nodded. "I am preparing the contents of the cache for transport to Gavan's Glory II, as well as a little surprise for any A.I.C. scavengers who may want to visit," Brandt continued. "Stand by to beam me back to Gavan's Glory II on my next signal."

"Acknowledged," William said. "Gavan's Glory II, out."

Zenon tapped a few keys. "I have set the transporter to beam the contents of the I.M.F. cache to a storage room and to beam Agent Brandt directly to the control room," Zenon said. "Standing by for your order to energize."

"Got ya, Zee," William said. "Energize on Agent Brandt's order." Zenon nodded, then returned her attention to her control panel.

Ten minutes later, William heard Brandt's voice come over the speakers once more. "Agent Brandt to Gavan's Glory II. I am ready for transport," he said.

"This is Ensign Kar, Agent Brandt," Zenon said. "I am energizing transporter now."

A tower of blue and silver transporter energy resolved into Brandt. "Transport complete," Zenon said. "The contents of the I.M.F. cache have been secured in Storage Room Gamma-23-Epsilon."

"Well done, Zee," William said. Then, turning to Brandt, he added, "What surprise did you leave for the A.I.C.?"

Brandt tapped a few controls on the panel he stood next to. A holographic screen activated. On it, an A.I.C. raiding party burst into the underground cache.

Brandt chuckled before he flipped a switch on the remote control in his hand. The holographic screen filled with a large explosion and broke up into static before it dissolved.

A voice came over William's communicator. "King William, this is Tory," Tory said. "In looking through the contents of the I.M.F. cache, I found a briefcase addressed to you."

"On my way," William said before leaving the control room.

William saw Tory holding a green and gold briefcase as he entered the storage room. "Here it is, Your Majesty," Tory said before handing William the briefcase.

As soon as William's hand touched the briefcase's handle, it hissed open. Inside was a gold, red and green device resembling the Power Morphers used by the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers of the Unaligned World of Power Rangers 1993, along with two isolinear data cards.

Over the compartment with the data cards rested a handwritten message reading "Messages for the Scarlett Warrior. Watch them alone."

"I'll examine these in my quarters, Miss Morris," William said. "Keep organizing the materials from the I.M.F. cache and if you find anything of possible interest, let me know."

"Yes, sir," Tory said before William turned on his heel and left the storage room.

Once behind the door of his and Sofia's quarters, William put the isolinear card marked "#1: Kat Oliver" into the card reader. A blonde-haired woman appeared on his display.

"I am Katherine Hillard-Oliver, wife of Thomas 'Tommy' Oliver, with a message for Queen Scarlett of Cinnabar or any other member of the Cinnabarian royal bloodline," the woman said with a Australian accent. "I bring the sad news that my husband, Tommy Oliver—possibly the greatest Power Ranger in the history of the multiverse—has passed away."

"Before he passed away, Tommy asked me to record a message for you thanking the Cinnabarian people for their support over the last few years following the death of the original Mighty Morphin' Yellow Ranger, Trini Kwan. He also enclosed a message he recorded for one specific member of the Cinnabarian bloodline, which is also enclosed with this message," Kat continued.

William held the second isolinear card, which was marked "A Message for William Edward Felchenerow III" as Kat finished, "You who are watching this message, please keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult and emotional time. Farewell, and may the Power protect you."

The screen faded before the card was ejected from the reader. William then put the second data card in the reader. No image appeared on the screen, but a voice could be heard.

"Prince William...though perhaps you are King by now? I dunno," the voice began. "Anyway, I am dying, and if I die, I want my legacy to be secured. That is why I have enclosed with this message the Master Morpher I used to assume the powers of Mighty Morphin' Green and White, Red Zeo and Black DinoThunder during my battles with the Ninja Steel Rangers and my fellow Legendary Rangers against Lord Draven."

William looked at the Master Morpher in the briefcase. "If used by the reigning Scarlett Warrior, the Warrior's power will merge with the Master Morpher, allowing the Scarlett Warrior to call upon any super-powered warrior's abilities simply by using their standard transformation call," Tommy's voice said. "And I do mean any super-powered warrior—Kamen Riders, Metal Heroes, Super Sentai members, Power Rangers, Ultra Warriors, take your pick."

William closed his eyes as Tommy's voice said one last thing. "Keep my memory alive, and when your time comes, I pray we will meet when your energies merge with the Morphin' Grid. And so, one last time and from one Power Ranger to another... May the Power protect you," he said before the isolinear chip ejected from the chip reader.

William watched as the Kat chip dissolved in pink light and the Tommy chip dissolved into red light., both of which flowed into the Master Morpher.

William then picked up the Master Morpher and felt his Scarlett Warrior powers merge with the Master Morpher. William then stood from his chair, clipped the Master Morpher to his belt, and left his quarters...but not before bowing and saying to the empty room, "And May the Power protect you, Tommy Oliver...always."

Note from the Author: I originally intended to finish this chapter only with the revelation of Agent Brandt's trap for the A.I.C. scavengers of the I.M.F. cache. However, following the announcement of the death of Power Rangers legend Jason David Frank on November 19th, 2022 at just 49 years old, I decided to write the sequence introducing the Master Morpher (which Tommy used in the Power Rangers: Super Ninja Steel episode "Dimensions in Danger") to 30 Worlds.

I had originally intended to introduce the Master Morpher in the next book, which I can now announce will be based on the Saints Row video game series. However, with JDF's passing, I simply accelerated my plans.
