Daytona Beach High School Gymnasium
Saturday Night
4:00 pm
Sam and Jake entered the art show dressed up for the evening. Sam wore a purple spaghetti-strap cocktail dress with black patent mid-heel sling-back shoes, purple butterfly choker necklace, and purple butterfly hairclip. Jake wore a purple collard-shirt, blue jeans, black penny Loafers, and his green fishhook necklace.
"Wow!" Sam said as she looked around, taking notice of the amazing artworks set up throughout the gym. "These artworks are amazing!"
"Amazing artworks made by kids," Jake added.
Sam soon came down with a thought, frowned, and asked, "Jake?"
"Yes, Sam?" Jake answered. He then noticed her frown. "Is something wrong?"
Sam sighed, "I've been meaning to ask you a few days ago regarding Myrna Beesbottom."
"About how she used to be my nanny?" Jake asked. Sam nodded. "Even though my mother left the Royal Navy to take care of me, my brother, and sister she needed a nanny to help out around the house while my dad was still serving in the British SAS. Unfortunately, Myrna was the only nanny available in Liverpool at the time. Whenever my parents were never around, she always tormented us."
"Did you ever try and tell your parents about Myrna's hostilities?" Sam asked.
"She was able to disguise her tyranny whenever my parents were around," Jake replied. "Besides, my siblings feared reprisals if they spoke of Myrna's hostilities. Though I had no fear of Myrna, I feared the worst for my brother and sister and chose to keep quiet as well. Especially after Myrna threatened us with a cane to the rear if we didn't comply with her orders."
Sam gasped and scowled, "Myrna's more of a monster than I thought she was. How long was Myrna your nanny?"
"From when I was born up until my family and I moved to Daytona Beach," Jake replied, leaving Sam with a look of shock on her face. "It wasn't until we moved to Daytona Beach that I came clean about Myrna and why I never mentioned what she was doing."
"I can't believe you had to suffer under that woman," Sam said in disbelief.
Jake took a deep breath, "The good thing is that me, my brother, and my sister's mother was at home most of the time. It was when neither of our parents were around, did we face the worst of Myrna. But let's not let that crazed ex-nanny of ours ruin tonight."
Sam took a deep breath, "Alright."
Soon after that was said, Sam and Jake continued walking and met up with a woman with brown hair, green eyes, fair skin and wearing a red cocktail dress and brown high-heel sandals. Standing with her was an eight-year-old boy with the same hair, eye, and skin color as the woman, only he was wearing a red collard-shirt, khaki pants, and brown shoes.
The woman and boy smiled.
"Hey, Jake!" The woman said to Jake.
Sam and Jake smiled.
"Hey, Chelsea!" Jake said to the woman. He then turned to Sam. "Sam, this is my cousin, Chelsea."
"It's nice to meet you, Chelsea," Sam commented.
"It's nice to meet you too," Chelsea commented. "Jake has told me so much about you."
Jake then introduced the boy to Sam, "Sam, this is my cousin and Chelsea's son, Henri."
"Hi, Henri," Sam said to Henri with a wave.
"Hi, Sam," Henri waved back.
Sam soon took notice of Henri's paintings and saw one of Daytona Beach, another of the Statue of Liberty, another of a bald eagle, another of a space shuttle launch, among a few other works of art.
"So, you painted all these pictures?" Sam asked Henri.
"I sure did," Henri replied. "You like them?"
"I love them!" Sam commented. "I'm a huge fan of art and I'm amazed that someone your age could create works this great!"
"My mom always said that big things can come in small packages," Henri said.
"You are a remarkable artist," Sam commented. "Just like, Jake."
"Thanks, Sam," Henri said in appreciation. "And if you want to, I could paint a picture of you and Jake."
"I think that will be great!" Sam commented.
Henri soon thought of something and asked, "So, Sam, what made you take a liking to art?"
"When I was four," Sam began. "I was given crayons and a coloring book for my birthday. I enjoyed coloring in the pictures in the book. When I was 11, my parents and I took a trip to Paris, and they brought me to the Louvre. I was amazed by the artworks on display there, my favorite being Leonardo DaVinci's, Mona Lisa."
"Wow," Henri said in amazement.
"What made you take a liking to art?" Sam asked.
"My Mom introduced me to it, and I found it fun to draw," Henri replied.
Sam soon thought of something and asked Chelsea, "Say, Chelsea, after the gallery closes at 5:30 do you wanna have dinner at that restaurant across the street?"
"El Mejor?" Chelsea asked. Sam nodded. "That sounds great!"
Unbeknownst to the group, Myrna Beesbottom and James were eavesdropping nearby while pretending to look at artworks.
"Were you really their nanny?" James asked.
"I was," Myrna replied. "And because of my nanny skills, Jerry assigned me as Sam, Clover, and Alex's nanny." She then groaned. "But I hated the assignment. Yes, I liked being a nanny, but being withdrawn from WOOHP frontline service just to babysit spies was not what I had in mind."
"Must've been a huge bummer," James speculated.
"You think?" Myrna asked. "At one point, I decided that I couldn't take it anymore and told Jerry to either accept my request to be reinstated being a field agent or my resignation."
"And what did Jerry choose?" James asked.
"My resignation," Myrna replied. "I was gonna say something to Jerry, but he WOOHPed me out before I could say anything. Ever since I left WOOHP, I planned my revenge upon him."
"And what did you do?" James asked.
"I seduced Jerry by using a Japanese herbal love potion to marry him with the intention of killing him so I could run WOOHP," Myrna replied. "But the very girls Jerry made me babysit stopped me."
James sighed, "I know how it feels to be defeated by those three."
"Don't tell me, the spies defeated you too," Myrna groaned.
"They did," James groaned. "I used Sam to help me obtain an invisibility liquid, telling her that my father made it and was gonna use it for evil. How pathetic of Sam to fall for my little trick."
"That Sam really is pathetic," Myrna agreed. "Wouldn't you believe she tried to fight me and lost?"
"She tried to fight you and lost?" James asked.
"Yes," Myrna replied. She then asked. "Did you really think WOOHP would've assigned me as the spies' nanny if they thought they could defeat me?"
"Not after what you just told me," James said. He then continued with his own story. "Anyway, using the invisibility liquid I got Sam to help me steal, I attempted to kidnap the U.S. president. But the spies stopped me before I could accomplish the mission."
"I can't believe it," Myrna commented.
James sighed and changed the subjects, "So, Myrna, how are we gonna catch Sam and Jake?"
Myrna thought for a moment before speaking, "The spies will be going to that Mexican restaurant across the street after the art gallery closes. Right?"
"Yeah," James said. "And I suppose we go and snatch them there?"
"You guessed right," Myrna said.
Lobby, Milton Hotel
4:00 pm
Clover and Nate walked into the Milton Hotel arm-in-arm and dressed to the nines.
Clover was wearing a red strapless dress with left side slit and white leg strap high-heel shoes. She was also wearing the necklace Nate had given her on their first date. Excluding the necklace, this was the same outfit Clover wore when she took part in the Miss Beverly Hills Pageant where she got into a catfight with Mandy after they both lost. Clover also styled her hair as it was on that fateful night as well.
Nate wore a black tuxedo, red bowtie, red vest, and black patent Oxfords.
Just then, three people walked up to the two spies. One was a man with yellow-blond hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and wearing the same tuxedo Nate was wearing. Another was an older female version of Nate, only with brown eyes and wearing a red dress and black high-heel shoes. The last person was an elderly man with white hair, brown eyes, fair skin and wearing a Royal Canadian Army uniform.
Nate recognized them.
"Hey, Dad. Hey, Mom. Hey, Grandpa," Nate said with a wave. He then introduced his parents and grandfather to Clover. "Clover this is my father René, my mother Emilie, and my grandfather Joe."
"His mother's father," Joe spoke up.
Nate then introduced his parents and grandfather to Clover, "Dad? Mom? Grandpa? This is Clover."
"Hi," Clover waved with a smile.
Emilie looked at Clover with a smile, "It's so nice to finally meet the woman who, not only brings my son happiness, but also retrieved my mother's necklace and is wearing it too!"
Clover looked at Emilie, "Nate brings me a lot of happiness. No one I have ever dated prior to Nate has ever brought me so much happiness."
"And seeing my mother's necklace around your neck tells me that you are my son's soulmate," Emilie added.
"I am his soulmate like he is mine," Clover said with a dreamy look on her face. "He's everything I ever wanted: he's cute, shares my interests, is a WOOHP spy, is such a good dancer, and not once have we ever argued." She then turned to Nate. "And I can't think of anybody else I want to spend the rest of my life with."
René smiled and spoke up, "I bet at some point in the future you and Nate will become what Janice and George will be after the ceremony is finished."
Nate took Clover's hands into his own, "I will ask Clover someday." He then turned to Clover. "But regardless of when I'll ask, she and I will be together forever."
"Nate, you are so sweet!" Clover commented.
"And Clover?" René spoke, getting Nate and Clover's attention. "You have me and Emilie's blessing to marry our son."
"And… we thank you two for designing Janice's wedding dress," Emilie added.
"You're welcome," Clover and Nate said, happily, and in perfect unison.
"You two make the perfect fashion design team," René commented.
"We plan on becoming fashion designers after we graduate from college," Nate spoke.
"I will design the dresses," Clover added. "And Nate will design the shoes."
"We have time before the ceremony begins, how about we go check on the bride and the groom?" René suggested.
With that, Clover, Nate, Emilie, René, and Joe walked out of the hotel lobby. During the walk, Clover imagined herself and Nate getting married.
Unbeknownst to Clover, Nate, and Nate's family Helga and Kyle, disguised as waiters, were listening nearby.
"Clover seems to be getting along well with Nate's family," Helga speculated. "And I can't believe Nate looks like you. I wonder how that's so."
"He's my half-brother," Kyle replied.
"You and Nate are related?" Helga asked in disbelief.
"We are," Kyle replied. "We're both male versions of our mother. But we look a little different because of our fathers. I had Nate's back when we were kids, that was until I decided to become a jewel thief."
"So, you stabbed your half-brother in the back?" Helga asked. Kyle nodded. "How evil."
"But I only did it because he was not on the same page as me," Kyle said in a solemn tone.
Helga then changed the subjects, "Say, Kyle? Did you notice that beautiful necklace around Clover's neck?"
"Yeah," Kyle said with a nod. "It's the same one I stole from my grandmother, had refurbished, and gave to Clover at that gala."
"That necklace Clover is wearing was stolen by you and you gave it to her?" Helga asked in disbelief. "And at which gala are you talking about?"
"Yes, to the first question," Kyle replied. "To answer the second question, the gala was for the ambassador of Uzbekistan. I danced with Clover there and, after giving her the necklace, I was able to snatch the key to the Great Pearl of Uzbekistan from the ambassador himself using Clover's WOOHP magnetic ring."
"That was very devious of you," Helga commented.
"Yeah," Kyle agreed. "But the spies foiled my plan to steal the pearl and I was captured. But despite my defeat, I was able to get the last laugh by tossing them a rose and getting themselves to nearly kill each over it. After all, no woman can resist me or something I give to her."
"That's one crazy story," Helga commented. "Crazier than when the spies stopped my plot to turn people into furry animals and use the fur to make fur coats. Clover was among those I transformed."
Kyle shook his head, "I wouldn't call my story crazier than yours."
Highway on the way toward Orlando
4:00 pm
Alex and Lee, along with Lee's niece Nichelle, were driving in Lee's Jeep to the Orlando Opera House dressed to the nines. Alex wore a purple strapless gown, black high-heel ankle-strap shoes, white faux fur shawl, diamond choker necklace, diamond stud earrings, and diamond bracelets on both her wrists. Lee wore a black tuxedo with black bowtie and black patent Loafers. Nichelle was wearing a light-blue dress with dark-blue Mary Jane shoes.
"I just can't wait to see the show!" Alex said in excitement.
"You've been wanting to see, 'Cats', too?" Nichelle asked.
"I have," Alex said with a nod. "I always enjoy animal-themed musicals."
"Alex has a soft spot for animals," Lee said to Nichelle.
"Animals are great!" Nichelle commented. She then asked. "Speaking of which, do you intend to help animals after college?"
"We do," Alex replied.
"We are both studying to become veterinarians," Lee added. "And we intend to become a team who will always be ready to help animals in need wherever in the world."
Nichelle smiled, "From what Lee has told me about you, I'd say you two would make a great team."
Alex put her left hand on Lee's right leg and said, "We make the perfect team already."
"We both have a passion for animals and each other," Lee said as Alex removed her hand. "That's what makes us the perfect team."
"How are things going on between you two?" Nichelle asked.
"They've been great!" Alex said, happily. "Ever since our first date, we've experienced a lot of happiness. What's more is that not once have we ever argued."
"I would never wanna argue with you, Alex," Lee said. "You mean so much to me and as long as your happy, I'm happy."
"I could say the same for you," Alex cooed.
Unbeknownst to Alex, Lee, and Nichelle, Tim Scam and Boogie Gus, we're following in a black van from a distance. While Tim was driving, Gus was looking through a periscope.
"That's them," Gus said. He then lowered the periscope. "I don't know why they're going to a musical. I mean, musicals and I are no perfect match."
"I'm not into musicals either," Tim groaned. "They stink."
"Tell me about it," Gus groaned. He then asked. "So, how are we going to snatch the spies?"
"We'll keep monitoring the spies and find a way to snatch at least one of them," Tim replied to Gus' question.
El Mejor Mexican Restaurant
6:00 pm
Sam, Jake, Chelsea, and Henri were eating at a booth at the Mexican restaurant across the street from the Daytona Beach High School.
"I think it's really sweet you two are living together and with your friends," Chelsea commented. "But it was quite surprising you started living together starting on day three of your relationship."
Sam, not wanting to mention the truth about the destruction of her boyfriend's house, made up a cover story, "After their house was blown up by a ruptured gas line me and my friends invited Jake and his friends to move in with us."
"I'm still sorry for what happened," Chelsea said with sympathy.
"Regardless of what happened to our house," Jake continued. "Me, Nate, and Lee are happy we have moved in with our girlfriends."
"Do you intend to get married?" Henri asked.
"Henri, we are not yet fully committed to that yet," Sam pointed out.
Jake put his arm around Sam and said, "But we do intend to spend the rest of our lives together."
"After college Jake and I are going to be a team writing stories and taking pictures either for a newspaper or magazine," Sam added.
"I think that's so sweet," Henri commented. "And I'm happy for you two."
"You two definitely make a great team," Chelsea commented.
"Especially when going up against their ex-nanny?" Came a venom female voice.
Everyone sitting at the table looked up to see…
"Myrna Beesbottom?" Chelsea gasped, seemingly recognizing the woman.
"If it isn't Jake, Sam, Chelsea, and Henri," Myrna said with a smirk.
"I know Jake was your nanny," Sam said to the ex-nanny.
"Do you now?" Myrna asked. "And I presume he knows I used to be your nanny?"
"You, me, and Sam all know the answer to that question," Jake spoke up. He then stood up and looked squarely at Myrna. "The last time we met I was just kid, now I'm a grown man."
"Only a grown man who Sam doesn't deserve," Myrna taunted.
"And she's right," Came a male voice from behind Myrna. The source of the voice revealed himself from behind the spies' ex-nanny and added. "Miss me, Sammy?"
Sam, recognizing the man, gasped, "James?"
"I know who you are," Jake said to James. "Me and Sam, came clean about past relationships and she mentioned you and how you used her."
"I can't believe you're with her," James groaned.
"What do you both want with me and Sam?" Jake demanded.
"You two," Myrna replied. "Now, James!"
The two villains each pulled out a tranquillizer dart shooter and fired them at the two spies.
Before Sam and Jake could react, the darts knocked them out.
People at nearby tables panicked at the sight.
"We have them now," James said as he grabbed Sam.
"Let's go!" Myrna shouted as he grabbed up Jake.
The two villains ran out of the restaurant and out the front door before using jetpacks to fly away.
Ballroom, Milton Hotel
6:00 pm
The wedding guests were in the ballroom of the hotel. It's been an hour since the ceremony ended and now, everyone was eating supper. Clover and Nate were sitting with Emilie, René, and Joe.
"So, Joe, you used to make shoes for Giorgio Vivaldis?" Clover asked the elderly man.
"I did," The man replied. "And that's where I met Lili, who happened to have been the granddaughter of the company's founder and we got together. But when World War Two began the day after my first date with Lili, I joined the army while my then girlfriend stayed behind to make combat boots for soldiers."
"I didn't know Giorgio Vivaldis ever made combat boots for soldiers," Clover said.
"Just about every factory that produced civilian goods were converted to build weapons and equipment of war," Joe pointed out. "Anyway, one day in '44, while I was the gunner of a Sherman Firefly, my crew and I destroyed four German tanks, including three Tigers."
"Tigers?" Clover asked in confused.
"The Germans named a lot of their tanks after predatory felines," Joe pointed out. "And the Tiger was the deadliest of all the German tanks made during the war."
"What did you do after the war?" Clover asked.
"I married Lili and went back to making shoes with her at GV," Joe replied. He then asked. "Have you ever worn shoes made by GV?"
"I have, but I mostly wear shoes made by, Yves Mont Blanc," Clover replied. She soon remembered something. "Speaking of GV and YMB, Nate told me his Aunt Francine owns both GV and YMB."
"She does own both those companies," Joe acknowledged.
Clover turned back to Nate, "Nate, I must admit, you come from an amazing family."
"Thanks, Clover," Nate said in appreciation.
"Before coming here, I was afraid they wouldn't like me," Clover said.
"You are a remarkable woman, Clover," René commented, getting Clover's attention.
"As long as you make our son happy," Emilie spoke up. "You make us happy."
"Thanks for allowing me to stay with Nate," Clover said to Nate's parents. "I would be heartbroken if I was ever separated from him."
Nate took Clover's hands into his own and got her attention, "Clover, nothing will come between us. I promise."
Clover set the right side of her head on Nate's left shoulder, closed her eyes, and said, "Thanks, Nate. It's a huge blessing to have you in my life."
"You're welcome, Clover," Nate cooed. "It's a huge blessing to have you in my life too."
The spy couple soon noticed the others at the table looking at them.
"Sorry about that," Clover apologized as she pulled away from Nate.
"It's okay, Clover," René assured. "We know how much Nate means to you."
Clover then got up from her seat, "I have to use the bathroom. I'll be right back."
She then walked away from the table and out of the ballroom and into the bathroom and noticed a familiar villain emerge from one of the stalls.
"Helga?" Clover gasped, recognizing the villain.
"Surprised to see me?" Helga asked.
"What are you doing here?" Clover demanded as she got into fighting stance.
"We came to congratulate you and Nate on becoming soulmates," Helga replied. "Among other things."
Something Helga said quickly caught Clover's ear, "Did you say, we?"
Just then, Kyle Katz walked into the bathroom, "Miss me, Clover?"
Clover turned to see Kyle and gasped, "Kyle?"
Orlando Opera House, Orlando
6:00 pm
Alex, Lee, and Nichelle were finished eating supper at a table while watching the musical, "Cats".
"What a wonderful musical," Alex whispered to Nichelle.
"It is wonderful," Nichelle commented.
"It's actually pretty good," Lee commented.
Just then, Alex's cellphone rang.
Blushing, and not wanting to attract unwanted attention, Alex quickly ran off and out of the theater into a hallway and answered her cellphone.
"Kind of a bad time," Alex groaned.
"Look behind you," Came a venom male voice.
Alex turned around and gasped to see a familiar foe holding a cellphone.
"Tim Scam?" Alex gasped. "What are you doing here?"
"We have plans for you," Tim answered.
"Did you say, we?" Alex asked.
"He did," Came another venom male voice from behind.
Alex turned around and saw another familiar villain.
"Boogie Gus?" Alex gasped, recognizing the villain.
To Be Continued…
A/N: What started out as a Saturday night for the spies has now become a Saturday nightmare.
Sam and Jake have been captured!
Will the same happen to the other spies?
You'll find out.
Nate's grandfather, Joe, was inspired by an English shoemaker-turned-tanker named, Joseph William Ekins, who, during World War Two, destroyed four German tanks in one day, including three Tigers.
The Sherman Firefly is a Sherman tank modified with a bigger gun, ideal for going up against heavy tanks.
