The next night, the team was getting ready to go after the police commissioner. They had already changed into their suit, they were just waiting for Oliver to go over the plan with them. It didn't take long for Oliver to tell them what to do. It was a pretty straight forward plan.
"Ok. So, it looks like the commissioner has upped his security at his home. It looks like he is expecting us to show up. I think that Laurel and Sara should be the ones to go in and confront the commissioner because they have ties to him through their father." Oliver said.
"What about the security?" Kara asked.
"We subdue them and then make our way inside. Laurel and Sara will go straight in while the rest of us take out all of the security. Cisco, do you have the information that will help make sure that the commissioner doesn't get away with this?" Oliver asked.
"I sure do. Here you go Laurel." Cisco said as he handed the flash drive to Laurel.
"Thanks. Let's get out of here." Laurel said as they all made their way to their bikes or took off running or flying toward the police commissioner's house.
. . .
Once the team was at their location, they spread out so that they would make sure that every area around the house was covered when they started their attack. "It looks like they have every entrance guarded. This might be a bit more trouble than I was thinking. We need to do this quickly though. We don't need them calling in backup." Oliver said.
They all agreed and that was when they decided to act. They all used their skills that they had learned from the League and used the shadows to hide themselves. Barry and Kara used their speed to help out as well. It didn't take long for all of the guards to be taken down and now, Laurel and Sara were making their way to the commissioner's home office because they knew that was where he was going to be.
The rest of the team started to take out any security that was in the house, giving the two Canaries the opening that they needed to make it to the police commissioner. Once they were inside of the office and face to face with the commissioner, they saw that he had already drawn his gun and had to find cover.
"You think you can just break into my house and get away with it? That was a bad mistake." the commissioner said.
"I guess we will have to see about that." Sara said as she rounded the corner and was on the commissioner before he even knew what happened.
She knocked the gun out of his hand and then punched him a few times in the face, which was enough to knock him out. The two Canaries tied the man up and then sat the flash drive beside him so that the authorities would see it.
"Cisco, get in touch with the FBI and let them know what is going on. We can't let him get taken in by his people. They might be corrupt as well." Laurel said.
"I'm on it." Cisco said as he sent the information to the FBI so that they could arrest the police commissioner.
Once the sisters made their way back down to the lower level of the house, they saw that the rest of the team was busy tying up the security that they had been fighting while they were dealing with the commissioner.
"Looks like you guys had a good time down here." Laurel said as she looked at all of the security guards that were unconscious and tied up on the floor.
"It wasn't too much trouble. So, how did things go for you two?" Oliver asked.
"Everything went well. Sara knocked him out and then were both tied him up and left the flash drive so that it would be easy to find. Speaking of which, we need to get out of here. Cisco has already sent word to the FBI. They should be here soon." Laurel said and the others nodded as they left the house as the FBI were rounding the corner.
. . .
Once the team got back to the bunker, they all changed out of their suits and met up so that they could discuss who they were going after tomorrow night.
"I think we need to go after one of the council members next." Laurel said.
"That would be a smart move. Which one do you think we should go after first?" Thea asked.
"I think we should go after Pollard first. I have never had a very high opinion of her. It is like she thinks she is better than everyone else." Sara said.
"Ok. So, we go after Pollard first. Cisco, make sure that everything is ready for the councilwoman. We will go after her as soon as we are ready tomorrow night." Oliver said.
"I will work on that now. What else do you need from Caitlin and I?" Cisco asked.
"That will be all for now. Just get that done and then head home. The next couple of nights are going to be really busy, so get your rest while you can." Oliver said and Cisco and Caitlin nodded.
The rest of the team went and did a little bit of training before they decided to go home as well. They all needed to be at tip top shape to do what was required of them over the next couple of nights. They might even start going after multiple targets so that they can get to Malcolm sooner rather than later.
. . .
Kara decided that she was going to get some air, so she decided to fly around the city and see if there was anything that needed her attention, but there hadn't been so she was about to head toward home when she heard something in the air behind her.
"So, how did it go?" Kara asked before she turned around to look at the person.
"Not well. Non is set in his ways. He is not going to back down from our plans. I wish there was another way, but I think you and your friends are going to have to fight him before this is all said and done." Astra said.
"What about you?" Kara asked, hoping that she wouldn't have to fight her Aunt as well.
"I am with you Little One. I only married Non because it was required of me. You are the most important thing to me though." Astra said.
"Good. I didn't want to fight you. So, you can come stay with me for the night. We are all meeting up tomorrow night. You can come to our bunker and help us come up with a plan to stop Non when the time is right." Kara said and Astra nodded as they both flew toward the Queen Mansion to get some rest because it now looked like tomorrow was going to be an even busier night than any of them thought.
