Hey guys, I'm back! Sorry for not putting anything out for like 4 months. Gonna try to get back onto the 1-2 month schedule I used to have. Well, that's all I have to say, so let's get to it.

Chapter 11

Ramble's senses started to come back to him, as the beep of a heartbeat monitor started to get louder and louder. He fluttered his eyes a bit, before having to squint to adjust his eyes.

"Oh, you're awake." a voice remarked right beside him.

Ramble turned to the source of the voice, seeing the nurse right beside him.

"What happened?" Ramble asked, as the nurse started tapping on something on her pad.

"From what I heard, a man helped bring you and himself in. You both were hurt badly, and he requested for you two to be put in healing pods asap. He later fell unconscious in the pod, and was put into a separate room."

"Is he still here?" Ramble asked, swinging his legs over his bed.

"No, he already left an hour ago." she stated, giving Ramble a pad. "Why? Is he a friend of yours?"

"Eh, I guess you could say that." Ramble said as he filled it out, handing it back to the nurse. "Well, thank you for taking care of us."

"It's just our job, sir. Have a good day." the nurse said as she walked out of the room to go to see a different patient.

"Well, if I remember correctly, my clothes had gotten destroyed." Ramble said as he walked out of the hospital. "Guess I'm going to need to go home and get a new pair then."

His stomach let out a loud groan, almost sounding like a voice that shook the nearby area.

"I should probably get something to eat, huh?"

Ramble then realized that his scouter had gotten destroyed in the battle, with that he let out a little sigh.

"Well, guess I'm going to eat later, rather get that earful sooner than later" he said to himself, before taking off to the transport station.

Later, in Capsule city…

"You just love to wreck things, huh?" the lady in front of Ramble said, as he had a weak smile. "And one of those things seems to constantly be your scouters, huh?"

"Ehehehe…"

"At this rate, you're going to break your previous record of 13 scouters in a single month!" she said as she began transferring data from Ramble's old scouter to his new one.

"Well, this time it wasn't broken because of me sitting on it or anything like that."

"So help me kami, tell me why."

"Well, me and my partner Jason got sent on a mission. Apparently there was going to be a trade between these two gangs. We were supposed to intercept it, but they blew everything up. Including me and my partner. And, well, my scouter." Ramble finished.

"So, you're telling me that it never occurred to you that it would be a good idea to leave your scouter in a safe location before fighting with two different gangs?"

"Well, when you put it like that…"

"Ramble! It is a pain to transfer the data! There are a ridiculous amount of codes and failsafes that I need to go through and verify! And I know it's my job, but you make it a pain by coming in every other day! So I ask you! Keep! Your! Scouters! Safe! Please!"

"Okay, okay, I will. I'll make sure I don't break any more scouters this month."

Sandra proceeded to look at Ramble and raise one eyebrow.

"I promise."

She looked at him a bit longer, before sighing and finishing up all the precautions. "You better keep that promise." she muttered before handing Ramble the scouter.

"I will, I will." Ramble said, putting on the scouter.

"Alright, now get out of here before I start screaming at you again." Sandra said as Ramble started to walk out.

"I will, I will." Ramble said, as he entered the hallway, to which his scouter suddenly let out a ping.

"Huh? What is it now?" Ramble asked, pressing a button on the side of his scouter.

"Time Patroller 397859, you are being personally requested to come back to HQ immediately by the Commander."

Ramble sighed, before exiting the building and flying directly to the mountain.

"I hope whatever the issue is isn't that big, I'm starving!"

Later, at Mount Terrace…

"Oh, hey Jason!" Ramble said walking into the lobby. "Guess the Commander called you too, huh?"

Jason just gave Ramble a quick look before walking away.

"And back to the silent treatment." Ramble thought before walking in the same direction as Jason.

"So, I heard you got out before me." Ramble said as he and Jason both walked up the stairs. "Where did you go?"

"..."

"Maybe I should try speaking about something else."

"I also heard that you were the one who brought us both in. Is that right?"

Jason suddenly stopped as they were walking up the stairs.

"Jason?"

"Why?"

Ramble looked quizzically at Jason

"Why do you care?"

"Huh?"

"I'm just a human. A human who hasn't talked to you at all. That has shown no regard to you. A human who almost got you killed. Yet you still try to talk to me. Why?"

"Because that isn't how you handle a problem. " Ramble responded. "You don't just give up on it and treat it with distastefulness, you try to find parts to the answer, and try to get the best solution out of what you get."

Jason looked down for a second, thinking about the information that Ramble had just provided him.

"This saiyan…"

He then thought back to last night. He remembered how Ramble put himself in front of Jason to take the blast, to shield him.

He then looked back at Ramble.

"..."

Jason then looked forward again, continuing up the stairs, with Ramble following close behind.

"Any idea why the Commander's calling us in?"

"...I would suspect it has to do with last night. And before you ask me what about last night, I'm not sure."

"Huh, he's talking more. That's a nice change of pace." Ramble thought to himself as he finally reached the room.

Jason then knocked, with the voice of the Commander responding "Come in."

Jason and Ramble then entered, to see the Commander looking out the window.

"As you are aware, the operation you two had performed had caused a mess, and barely anything could be found."

They both nodded.

"Well, while you didn't recover any intelligence, you did receive a target on your backs. That stunt you two pulled have made both gangs angry. Very angry. So, they will most likely send assassins after you."

"So, you want us to stay hidden then?" Jason asked.

"No, the opposite, actually. I want you two to go on your days as normal, but on guard at all times. Try to capture these assassins, they may give us an idea on where to find the location of the HQ of the two gangs."

"But why would the assassins know? Don't these gangs send them without revealing who they are or where they are?" Ramble asked.

"Yes, well, this trade deal was something the two gangs have been playing for awhile now, and would've probably made them a much bigger threat than they are now, but with you two ruining that, they will probably send personal assassins to kill you."

"Personal assassins? But they've never been caught."

"That's because most of their targets weren't too strong, mostly having power levels of 1,000 or below, allowing them to end them quickly. But you two, as far as I know, have power levels that exceed that level. You should be able to handle them. With that being said, keep these until you've caught them." The Commander then handed them both a few capsules, with a senzu bean on it.

"Alright men, that's all for now. Stay in touch with one another. You're dismissed. Oh, and another thing, both of you have been requested by the Supreme Kai of Time."

"What? Why?" Ramble asked.

"You'll find out once you enter the Time Nest. Now, get going, I have a feeling she doesn't have all day."

Later, at the entrance to the Time Nest…

"Where are those two?" Chronoa asked no-one in particular, her arms crossed as both while she waited for Ramble and Jason to arrive. "The lines can't be that long."

Soon after that statement, Ramble and Jason both jumped up onto the same platform as the Supreme Kai, with Ramble's mouth seemingly stuffed.

"There you are! What took you two this long?"

"Mhy wmph mnpry!"

"Wha-?"

Ramble then swallowed the rest of the food down his throat. "I was hungry!"

Chronoa looked at Jason.

"He hasn't eaten anything since last night, and he was in the mood for something that had more flavor than senzu beans."

Chronoa proceeded to facepalm. "Whatever, just come with me."

Later, inside the Time Nest…

"As you've probably guessed, we have another problem with the timeline." she said as they walked into the Time vault. "Barely even a day later, and something's already been messed with."

"What was changed?" Ramble asked.

"Nappa and Vegeta's arrival on Earth."

"Did they kill Goku and the others?" Jason inquired.

Chronoa shook her head. "The opposite, actually. Everyone on earth killed both Nappa and Vegeta before Goku even got back to Earth." she said, as they all walked down the stairs to the table.

"So we just gotta make sure that they don't, gotcha."

"Actually, more than that. You may need to kill the ones that are supposed to die." she responded. "They are all individually stronger than Nappa, and their combined might took down Vegeta, so you too are gonna need to be careful." she said, holding out the scroll to Ramble and Jason.

"Understood." Jason said, as both he and Ramble held onto the scroll.

"Good luck you two." Chronoa said, as they both disappeared.

She then sighed to herself.

"What is happening…" she said to herself. "Towa and Mira are gone, Demigra and Dabura should be dead, and Fu hasn't been heard from in a while, and it can't be him, he would've made some kind of announcement or something."

She then closed her eyes, seeing a few figures in her mind. "I wish I had any of you, but you're either MIA or off to some journey of self-discovery or something."

She then shook her head. "Mopping has to come later. I gotta make do with what I have now." She then turned to some scrolls. "Now, let's review them again…"

Wastelands; age 762

"W-what did you say their power levels raised to?"

"5000, Nappa." Vegeta stated, a mild look of displeasure on his face, arms crossed. "I was aware they could hide their battle power but not to this extent."

Yamcha stood over the dead saibamen, handwork of him. "Thought you could get me with that trap, huh?

"Power…I feel power!" Tienshinhan exclaimed, looking down at his hands in disbelief.

"I feel strong, so strong!" Chaotzu said, flying around quickly.

"I don't know what happened, but I know what's gonna happen." Piccolo stated as he balled his hands into fists. "My hands are gonna be filled with your blood." he finished, pointing at Nappa.

"M-mr. Krillin? How did they get that strong all of a sudden?" Gohan asked as he looked in shock at their newly powered allies. "And how come we didn't receive any kind of boost?"

"I don't know, but I'm not complaining." Krillin replied. "Just make sure that the saiyans don't get you, otherwise, I don't think we're gonna be able to hold them off."

"R-right." Gohan said, as both he and Krillin got into guard.

"That can't be right! There's no way that they're that strong!" Nappa said, stepping back in disbelief.

"That human surviving the Kamikaze blast from the saibaman tells a different story." Vegeta responded, as he uncrossed his arms.

"W-well, you're gonna help me, right Vegeta?" Nappa asked.

But before Vegeta could respond, a blinding light suddenly enveloped the surrounding area.

Once the light cleared, two more individuals that seemed to be wearing armor similar to what Vegeta and Nappa were wearing were standing next to Nappa.

"What the- who are you?" Nappa asked, staring at the two armored individuals.

"Yeah, they're a lot stronger, specifically Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, and Chaotzu." Ramble thought to himself, feeling out the powers of the group. "Gohan and Krillin seem to be the same though, weird."

"I'll make sure Nappa doesn't die, you make sure he doesn't go after Gohan and Krillin." Jason said, as he started to walk forward.

"HEY, I'M TALKING TO YOU TWO!"

"Sure, as long as you have my back."

"...Fine." Jason said, as they both rush towards the Z-Fighters.

"Why those little-"

"Nappa!" Vegeta yelled out. "Ignore them! Just fight the humans!"

"Y-yes Vegeta!" Nappa responded, rushing towards the Z-Fighters alongside the two mystery helpers.
