Next up was Team B as the Heroes and Team I as the Villains. Each side was getting ready with Toru taking off her clothes to ensure she was invisible.
"Look alive kids!" All Might instructed. "Show us you're the embodiment of good or evil! Let's go!"
Mezo started morphing his many limbs into ears before Shoto spoke up and swiftly froze the entire building by the time he walked outside. The ice user then slowly made his way to the bomb and broke a sly smile as he spoke to Ojiro.
The tailed boy didn't even fight back and begrudgingly accepted defeat at the hands of Shoto as the walking freezer touched the payload signaling the end. All Might then complimented how Shoto stopped the Villains without damaging the weapon or his ally.
As if that display of power wasn't enough, Shoto then melted all the ice as quickly as he made it. The other students noted how scary the guy acted and pointed out that he got in via recommendation. The next battle was Team H, as Heroes vs Team J, as Villains.
The Villain's strategy involved making a makeshift barrier around the weapon, so it's harder to reach. The match was even, but the Heroes were able to support each other perfectly before securing the weapon in the end. Next was Team C, as Villains vs Team G, as Heroes.
Momo created steel plates to seal off all entrances to the room while Ochaco used her Quirk to float the items in the room and position them around the weapon. During this time, Jiro used her earplugs, which were a part of her ears, to listen in through the building and find the team.
Kaminari then used his electric powers but using it too long makes his short circuit. With the situation being too stacked against the Heroes, they lost. The final teams were Team E, as Heroes and Team F, as Villains. This one was weird.
Koda's ability to talk to animals was good for getting backup, but they gave away the position of the payload. Mina's acid was good for her to move around, but she had to be careful not to hurt anyone or Aoyama's cape. Aoyama was trying to look good.
Yamcha was the only normal one of the four. His features became that of a wolf granting him enhanced strength, speed, and senses; however, it wasn't needed as the Heroes were constantly getting lost. Turns the Heroes lost the map, the Villains soundly won this one.
Exit
Class concluded with All Might leading them to the exit. "Full marks all around and no major injuries to speak of. Excellent work."
"It's nice to hear some encouraging words after our Homeroom Class." Asui commented. "Mr. Aizawa was kind of a buzzkill."
Everyone, except for Goku, nodded at that. Sure, Aizawa was not All Might, but he was still doing his best to bring out the best in each of them. That's not even to say he disliked learning with his Uncle Might, but he could still see the positives in their homeroom teacher.
"I'm happy to bring such staggering positivity to my alma matter!" All Might announced. "That's all for now so watch how a pro exits like he's got SOMEWHERE TO BE!"
He took off as fast as he could leaving behind a smoke trail, and a small hole where he stood before.
"Ok you guys, that is a Hero." Denki commented.
"Aww, I'll never be able to run that fast." Mashairao remarked.
Afternoon class
With this class done, Afternoon classes followed. Geometry, Science, Government, and so on. Goku worked hard to get down proper notes knowing they'd be his foundation in doing moderately well come any written test. When those were done with, school was out.
Development Studio
With school over for the day, Goku made his way to the Development Studio where he'd meet his sister per the note's instruction. He knocked on the door and only had to wait a bit before a Hero named Power Loader answered.
"What do you need?" He asked.
"I'm here to see my sister, Melissa Shield." Goku replied. "She should be expecting me."
"She's in the back of the room just passed the pink haired girl, Mei." Power Loader informed.
Goku nodded before entering, spotting his sister, and rushing over catching the eye of Mei. "Hey Melissa!"
Melissa looked up from her table. "Goku!" She smiled. "Glad you could make it."
"Are you kidding?" Goku smiled back. "I wouldn't miss this for the world, so what do you have?"
"I have the final design for your Hero costume." Melissa handed over a paper. "Provided you like it, I can start requisitioning the material and get to work on it."
This had always been the plan between them when Melissa started working towards a career in the support field like their father. Once Goku entered a Hero Course, she'd be his support person, and he'd have it no other way.
The attire Melissa had in mind was a blue form-fitting, short-sleeved shirt, black pants with black kung fu shoes, blue stockings, a flowing orange vest with a long backside that is secured with a blue obi tied over it at his waist, and blue armbands.
"This is so cool!" Goku declared genuinely as he passed it back.
"You really like it?" Melissa asked.
"You bet I do." Goku stated. "My current gi is great, but that Hero attire will really make me stand out."
"Great, I'll get started on it right away." Melissa stated happily.
"Well, looks like you're really fired up about this Melissa." Power Loader interjected as he walked towards the two. "Not that I'm surprised since you've spent any free time you've had designing this suit for him."
"Melissa…" Goku stated shocked to hear that.
"I wanted it to be perfect." Melissa informed. "Something that was yours and could be your own statement piece. Admittedly, that first year I spent a lot of time coming up with something more akin to our uncle, but that wouldn't be you. Your style. Considering you were always so willing to help me test my support items; I knew I had to come up with something better than that."
Goku smiled, but before he could say anything, Mei was suddenly behind him. "That means you'll be the perfect person to test out all my babies when I finish them!"
She started to feel Goku up which only elicited confusion.
"Mei, I already told you this is my brother, so I've got dibs on him!" Melissa exclaimed as she pulled him away and put herself between him. "Find your own volunteer!"
"Alright, break it up you two!" Power Loader got between them before looking at Goku. "Sorry about that kid, but ever since they met just yesterday, these two have been rather competitive. A real rivalry." He walked with him to the door. "Thanks for stopping by."
"Huh, I didn't think my sister had it in her." Goku commented.
As soon as the door closed, he heard some more banter.
"Dibs on his next request!" Mei called out.
"No way!" Melissa retorted.
"You can't call dibs on a person you two!" Power Loader remarked.
Goku hoped his sister understood that she was the only person he'd let do anything support wise for him. "Maybe I should tell her that."
Class 1-A
Goku made it back to class and saw that Izuku was surrounded by people who were praising him for his display during the exercise.
"So noisy." Fumikage commented.
"Tokoyami!" Iida announced. "Stop using that desk as a chair! Get off it this instant!"
"Dude, you need to chill." Jiro remarked taking Tenya by surprise.
"You're carrying a lot of tension." Ojiro pointed out.
"No one understands." Iida stated. "I cannot condone actions that disrespect these desks! Not when great men and women, our upperclassmen, use them."
"Also noisy." Fumikage repeated.
"Talk about a diverse class." Goku muttered to himself.
Denki and Ochaco then walked in, and it seemed like Kaminari was trying to ask her out. When she saw Izuku, she went over to talk to him. After talking for a bit, Izuku noticed Katsuki wasn't here. When she explained why, Izuku rushed out of the class and went to find him. Goku was about to follow but got stopped by the crowd.
"Hey, you're the guy who has that insane strength Quirk, right?" Hanta pointed out.
"Yeah." Goku confirmed. "My name is Goku Shield."
"Hanta Sero." Sero replied.
"Eijiro Kirishima." Eijiro added.
"Mina Ashido" Mina included.
"Yuga Aoyama." Yuga said in a flamboyant manner.
Yamcha pointed his thumb at himself. "Yamcha."
"Tsuyu Asui, but you can call me Tsu." Tsuyu remarked.
"The way you read the situation during that exercise was amazing!" Ashido praised.
"Yeah, you acted just like a real Hero." Kirishima added. "Real manly stuff."
"You didn't even break a sweat either." Sato pointed out.
"What else can you do with your Quirk?" Yamcha asked.
"Yeah! tell us." Mina pressed. "How high can you leap, and how much can you lift?"
"What's its weakness?" Tsu asked.
"Whoa, one at a time." Goku laughed good naturedly. "I can't answer all your questions if I don't know what you're asking."
Only two days in, and they most certainly have not been boring.
U.A. Next Morning…
Goku ended up meeting Izuku on his way to U.A., so they took to walking together. Upon arriving at the entrance, they were greeted by the press demanding answers from the students.
"Hey you." A female reporter approached Izuku. "Can you tell us what it's like to work so closely with All Might?"
Izuku was already starting to get nervous and couldn't find an excuse. Goku had who he saw as a buddy covered. He placed his hands on his shoulder and pulled Midoriya back placing himself in the way of the reporter. He put on a polite smile while signaling for Izuku to go.
Izuku took the hint and left before Goku addressed the reporters. "Sorry, but my friend's a little cameral shy. That said, I'll answer some questions before I head in."
"Thank you, young man." The reporter didn't waste any time. "Are you one of the students who is in a class with All Might?"
"Yeah, I was in one of his classes yesterday." Goku replied.
"What was it like being trained by the number one Hero?" She questioned.
"It was great." Goku answered. "He made the class feel lively."
"What kind of teacher is he?" She continued questioning.
"I think it's too early to determine that." Goku responded. "It was his first day, so he's only just now building the teacher he wants to be.".
"What's he like in person?" The reporter asked.
Mr. Aizawa then walked in front of Goku and got in the way of the reporter. "I think you've bothered my student enough. Get out of here."
Aizawa walked with Goku while the reporter tried getting their attention. Goku was about to turn around, but Aizawa advised against it as it would probably make them try to stay a bit longer. After that, Goku heard a very loud alarm as well as multiple sounds of metal doors.
He turned around and saw that the entire entrance was now blocked off. "What just happened?"
"One of them probably tried to get in and tripped the security system." Aizawa explained.
"Huh, that makes sense." Goku replied. "I mean, Heroes are trained here, and some people don't like us."
"Exactly." Aizawa commented. "We made it that only students, police, people with a special pass, and faculty members can get in here unless we disable the security system ourselves."
"That's good to know." Goku remarked.
"That means you shouldn't lose your student ID" Aizawa commented. "Now, get to class."
"Oh, right." Goku realized that the class was about to start, and if he stayed at the same pace that Aizawa was going, he'd be late.
Class 1-A
Goku managed to get there on time and was thanked by Izuku for getting him out of there. When Aizawa got to class, everyone was already in their seats. He didn't waste any time.
"Decent work on yesterday's combat training you guys." Aizawa commented. "I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results." He then looked at Katsuki. "Bakugo, you're talented, so don't sulk like a child about your loss, okay?"
Katsuki still looked sour about that. "Yeah, whatever."
"And Midoriya." Aizawa continued causing the boy to tense up. "I see you didn't even both using your Quirk. Work harder because I won't tolerate someone not giving their all. Also, don't give me the excuse that you don't have control over your Quirk.
That line's already getting old." Izuku was looking ashamed. "You can't keep breaking your body while training here, but your Quirk will be really useful if you can get a handle on it. So, show a little urgency, huh?"
Izuku perked up on that last bit of Aizawa's explanation and was very determined to get his Quirk under control. "Right!"
"Now, let's get down to business." Aizawa spoke again. "Our first task will decide your future." The entire class was tense. "You all need to pick a class representative."
That exited the students a bit too much, and everybody started volunteering for the role.
"Pick me guys." Eijiro called out. "I want to be class rep."
"I'll take it." Denki spoke next.
"Yeah, you're going to need me." Kyoka interjected.
"Someone with style should…" Yuga began before being canceled out by Mina.
"Over here!" She shouted. "I'm totally the right pick!"
"Silence, everyone please!" Tenya broke the commotion. "The class representative's duty is to lead others. It's not something just anyone can do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader."
Ironically, his hand was raised the highest which led to people thinking it was an excuse to have everyone vote for him, but Goku thought he had a good point.
"Is this really the best idea?" Kaminari asked.
"We've only known each other for a few days." Tsu pointed out. "How do we know who we can trust?"
"Besides, everyone will just vote for themselves." Kirishima added.
"Then don't." Goku stood up. "Voting for yourself would invalidate the entire point of this exercise. Even if some of you disregard these words, I'm certain that the one who gets the most votes would be the best person for the role."
Tenya looked at Aizawa who was getting in his sleeping bag looking uninterested. "It's the best way, right sir?"
"Do what you want but have it decided before my nap's over." Aizawa replied before laying on the floor.
"Thank you for your trust." Tenya responded.
With that, everyone got a slip of paper, and voted. Goku was torn between Tenya and Momo. Iida was serious about the role, and he seemed like someone who could lead the class while Yaoyorozu was a natural born leader in a sense.
Eventually, he cast his vote for Momo. Everyone looked over the results which showed only eight students got votes, and they were all written up on the board for everyone to see just to make it official.
Goku-5 Votes
Momo-4 Votes
Izuku-3 Votes
Shoto-2 Votes
Yamcha-2 Votes
Eijiro-2 Votes
Bakugo-1 Vote
Denki-1 Vote
Goku was surprised by the result. "I didn't even vote for myself, yet I still got the most?"
"You're complaining about getting the job?" Sero asked.
"No, I'm just surprised." Goku responded.
Tenya let out a cry of anguish and faceplanted on his desk. "Gah, nobody voted for me! I guess it should've been expected given my insistence."
Eijiro gritted his teeth and held a fist to his chest. "I didn't get the manly position, dammit."
Goku stepped up to the front of the class along with Momo who stood to his left.
"Alright, the class rep is Goku, and our deputy is Yaoyorozu." Aizawa announced.
"Well, 5 of your thought I was the right fit, so I promise to do my best!" Goku declared.
"I hope so." Momo stated. "After all, I put a considerable amount of faith in you by giving my vote."
The only reason he could see someone like Momo giving him her vote would be down to what he said after her during that exercise yesterday. Considering what little he knew about most of his classmates, it seemed to make sense.
"Right." Goku nodded. "I'll do my best not to let you down."
"This might not be too bad." Asui commented.
"Yeah, I could get behind Goku as the class rep." Kirishima added.
"They are the best students when it came to the training and Quirk results." Yamcha pointed out.
Cafeteria
"It's always so crowded in here." Ochaco complained.
"That's because students in the Support, Management, General Department, and Hero Courses all share the same cafeteria." Tenya explained.
Goku, Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida were all eating together at the same table. Due to Goku's rather large lunch, they were left to their own little group.
"This rice is delicious." Ochaco praised.
Goku just finished his third bowl. "I know right!"
"By the way Goku, congratulations on getting the position back in class." Izuku voiced. "I had a feeling that you'd be the one to get it."
"Thanks, but there was a reason I wasn't really throwing myself out there." Goku voiced. "I wasn't certain how I'd even go about it." He nodded. "While I don't want to let the class, especially those who put their faith in me, down, I'm not sure I'm the right person for the job."
"Sure, you are." Uraraka retorted.
"You'll be fine." Tenya added.
"Are you sure?" Goku asked.
"What you showed during our Quirk Apprehension and combat training, shows you take action before anyone else and will complete a task with the upmost efficiency." Iida explained. "Even though I voted for Midoriya, I still considered you while deciding the role."
While Izuku was surprised that Tenya voted for him, Goku felt a little better about the situation. "Thanks Iida. Honestly, I was torn between you and Momo. Ultimately, I decided to give it to Momo because she seemed to be the safer choice."
"That's completely understandable." Tenya commented genuinely. "I don't hold anything against you Goku."
"Didn't you want to be the rep though?" Ochaco pointed out. "I mean, you look the part cause of the glasses."
"Wanting a job and being suited to it are quite different." Iida remarked. "Observing the Iida family's Hero Agency has taught me that much."
"Agency?" The three repeated.
"Hold on, what does your family do?" Izuku asked.
"Uh, Izuku." Goku reminded his friend. "He said Hero Agency."
"Correct." Tenya confirmed before realizing that he just put some extra attention on himself.
"Ya know, I've been wondering something about you." Ochaco stated. "Admit it Iida. You're filthy rich just like Goku!"
"Even seeing how Goku was treated, I was still afraid people would end up treating me differently." Tenya looked a bit nervous about the subject. "I mean that in the best way Goku as I have immense respect for your father."
"Don't worry Iida, I get it." Goku smiled. "My father is great, but there is a difference. A Hero legacy just means so much to a lot of people."
This conversation between the two of them only made Midoriya and Uraraka want to know more.
Tenya decided to fill them in on what Goku had picked up. "The Iida's have been Pro Heroes for generations. It runs in our blood."
"What!?" Izuku and Ochaco shouted in unison. "That's awesome!"
"Are the two of you familiar with the Turbo Hero, Ingenium?" Iida asked
"I know all about him!" Midoriya exclaimed. "He's a super popular pro with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo Hero Agency." He then paused for a second. "Don't tell me."
"He's my elder brother." Tenya announced.
Izuku and Ochaco were starting to fawn over their friend, and Iida was a little proud of his heritage.
"Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the Hero code." Tenya continued. "As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be just like him; however, I think it might be a bit soon for me to be in a leadership role. Compared to someone like Goku or Izuku, I have a long way to go."
Iida looked a bit confused as everyone was now looking at him differently.
"That's the first time I've seen you smile Tenya." Uraraka pointed out. "You should do it more."
"Woah, you're right." Goku remarked.
"What are you talking about?" Iida questioned confused. "I smile all the time."
"Well, not around us." Goku remarked.
"Seriously?" Tenya replied. "This is the first time you've seen me smile?"
Suddenly, everyone was interrupted by a deafening alarm. Everyone stared at the ceiling in confusion until an automated voice spoke.
"WARNING. LEVEL THREE SECURITY BREACH. ALL STUDENTS PLEASE EVACUATE THE BUILDING IN AN ORDERLY FASHION."
"What's security level 3?" Tenya asked a nearby third year.
"It means that somebody has breached the school grounds. Something like this hasn't happened in three years. Now stop standing around and get moving!"
This caused a panic as people were getting out of their seats and making a break for the closest exit. The four of them got up and attempted to leave only to see the hallway full of students. They were pushing and shoving to get out, and it was making the situation worse.
Some people were getting trampled, and others were being pressed against the walls. From the back of the crowd, with his friends, Goku took in a deep breath which shocked his friends since he was taking in a massive amount of air.
When Goku was ready, he bellowed, "EVERYONE, TURN TO LOOK AT ME!" His booming voice got everyone to stop and turn towards him. "No matter what class you attend, this is not how we should act. In one way or another, we want to be involved in the world of Heroes.
So, let's act like it. Remain calm and prove why you were accepted into this school." He approached the glass and looked out before realizing what this was. "It appears it's just the media, so there is nothing to worry about." That seemed to calm people down.
"Even so, in the event of a real Villain attack, acting like wild animals isn't the solution. Heroes stand united, so as U.A. students, we should help each other in a quick, yet calm, fashion while ensuring no one is left behind. We must set an example!"
Everyone was effectively calm now while also examining their actions. This even led to a few apologies being thrown around. The police arrived a few seconds later to removes the reporters who caused the disturbance.
Iida smiled at Class 1-A's rep. "What were you saying about being unsure of your role?" Goku realized he did exactly what a leader would do in that situation. "After seeing that, I don't think you give yourself enough credit. Now, I regret not voting for you."
The bell ended up ringing.
Class 1-A
Upon returning to class, everyone quickly came to the unanimous agreement that Goku was the best person for the job of Class Representative.
"I'm thankful you are all now behind me in this." Goku bowed before standing. "I promise to do my best to lead you." He looked over at Momo before giving her a grin and thumbs up. "Despite what I achieved back there, I'll be counting on your help, deputy."
"It's only natural." Momo blushed slightly. "After all, you did promise not to let me down, so I should do the same. Still, I am starting to see that my vote was not misplaced."
"This is a waste of time." Aizawa interjected while once again in his sleeping bag. "Just hurry along already."
"Right!" Goku declared
With that, class got underway.
I don't know if it's just the stories I've read, and I'm certain there are those that take a different route; however, I've read far too many stories where Tenya becomes the Class Representative. Don't get me wrong, he's a great Class Rep, but I decided that I might as well go off in another direction.
Monster King: Thank you.
