"Bruderherz, I'm back~ hows it going?"

(brother/brotherheart- i dunno)

Prussia's laugh echoed through the mansion. Germany groanded, sitting up. He had gotten better over the last weeks, but the disease stayed close to him. Why Prussia wasnt sick yet was also no question to him anymore. A depressing reason for some, for some not. It wouldnt be long until-

"Heeyyy- wasn los mit dir heute- sehr abwesend wie mir scheint."

(whats up with you today- very distant it seems to me."

Prussia laughed again, handing him the fresh made food - soup. The german nation took it gratefully.

"Ach, Japan meint er wollte mal vorbei sehn- nur kurz."

(also, Japan said he wanted to check on you- shortly.)

"Oh, ich dachte schon die hätten mich vergessen."

(Oh, I already thought they forgot me.)

Germany joked, both laghed for a bit. (I dont get the joke either.. even tho i wrote this-)

"So, when is he coming here anyway?"

"Around 7 pm... ob er Suppe mag..?-"

((i wonder) if he likes soup..?-)

"Nein!- ich meine... vielleicht lieber.. etwas anderes...?"

(No!- I mean... maybe.. something else...?)

Germany laughed it off, a cough following. Prussia... didnt really get it, but that might be for the better. He shrugged it off, turning to get himself a drink. The German sighed, laying back into his pillow. He felt sorry for Prussia... a bit. After all, he was the one taking care of 2 countries at a time. But... hm - his decision...

He had a list of nation he had to visit. A span of about 10 days. He was happy to visit his friends, even the countries he wasn't close to. Netherlands, Belgium... That was gonna be a long week. But it was worth it. And a good way to get more information on the disease. He had to pack his things and some money if he wanted to travel through the west. Things there could variate from cheap to expensive, Japan knew. He also knew it was easy to travel from country to country since most were connected. Abit of worry crossed his thoughts tho, since he didnt want to get an infection, he had to be very careful, very, very careful. And Japan also wanted to get a stable connection to the nordics again. Their responsibility laid in; coming to meetings, leading their country, taking care of their people. Not shutting themselves off...

And so, his journey began,...

First plane flight to Germany.

"Awesome that you could come, Japan!"

"Hai, I'm happy aswell. How's Germany doing?"

"Gut, he's been holding up good."

(good)

Japan nodded, his expression not showing how relieved he truly was. He wasnt the one for emotions, but they existed.

"Oh, yeah-, I'll take you to him."

"Hai... but... not to be rude- I'm kinda packed with stuff-"

"Ja ja, just throw it somewhere into a corner- it's messy here anyway.. let's go"

Japan didn't like the idea of just throwing his stuff somewhere, but if Prussia wanted him to, he'd do it... this would only be a short visit since he had a long list to go through... today.. timezones~ and it was pretty hard keeping track of everything.

"Uh- you comin or what?"

Prussia asked, already ahead of him. Japan nodded, hurrying over to the german nation. On his way, he could only give a side glance to Austria, who was still curled up in a blanket. Poor man. Didnt play his piano since this started, meaning 2 weeks. Poor, poor man..

"Bruderherz~ Japan ist hier. Get your ass up!"

(Brother(heart)~ Japan is here.)

Japan bowed down, even tho he understood not one word, except for his name... he'd have to study some german in his freetime if this virus kept on getting worse.

"konichiwa, Germany. I hope you arent feeling too bad."

Germany nodded, a small smile laying on his lips.

"I actually feel a bit better, now that one of my friends visits me... and how have you been, Japan?"

Before he answered, Germany mentioned to a chair Prussia sat on some nights, next to the bed. But with distance ofcourse.

"Thank you. I've been doing fine, just worried about you and Italy. And the rest of course."

The german nation hummed, mostly to himself. Understandable- he worried for the others aswell. After all, they were all nations, none was less important than the other. Not even micronations. Cause they bare people aswell. The life of the earth, besides animals...

"Ah, yes. Italy- whos taking care of him?"

"Romano. I must say, he can be an arrogant piece of scheißse, but I feel sorry for him."

"Why- did something happen?"

"He's taking care of two people, but he seems unaffected by the virus whatsoever(idk- sorry)."

"Two people-? Why- oh, right. Poor south Italy."

Germany nodded, but apruptly let out a cough, then another. Japan handed him the water glass from the nightstand. When it passed, the german nation Thanked the Japanese.

"Hai, it is really no problem. I want you to get healthy again. I really miss hanging out with you guys."

"Ja, me too. And um, how are the meetings going?"

(yes)

"They've been getting more quiet everytime another nation is absent"

"Thats unfortunate. Who leads the meeting?"

Japan coughed a bit, Germany understood.

"Well, I guess youre the only one who still has some sense. The role fits you. I think you should keep leading the-"

"No! Once this is over, I'll get back to isolating myself-"

Germany let out a huffed laugh, shaking his head.

"It was a joke, Japan."

"Ahem... yes, I noticed..."

With a quick glance to the clock, Japan decided it was time for him to go. He had many nations ahead of him he had to visit...

"Fratello! The sushi bastard is coming over soon. And hold yourself back a bit. Youre still sick and youre not the only person I have to take care of."

Romano huffed, taking a seat at Italys "work" desk. Italy sighed, his little curl sinking.

"I'm sorry Romano... its been so long since ive seen Japan.. or Germany.. I cant hold my excitement back."

The other nation didnt say anything, he just stared into distance. Usually, Romano wouldve started a rent about how he shouldnt think about Germany(the potato bastard) all the time, but instead, the south italian kept quiet.

"Romano...?"

"What- I was thinking, thats all... but I heard what you said."

"what are you thinking about, fratello?"

Romano sighed. He worried about everything, everyone.

"I- em... mind your own business! Damn you..."

"Romanooo... please tell me.."

"Ugh, fiiine.. I'm worried about everything- you, Spain, the rest of the world.. me. What am I supposed to be thinking about- tomatoes!?.. No- forget that! Damnit.."

Italy gave him an apologetic look, he wanted to hug huis brother. Tell him everythings okay... but he was chained to the bed, like a dog on a leash. He hated this.

"Oh Romano.. don't beat yourself up. It's not your fault, and me and Spain can take care of ourselves, just like the rest of the world."

Italy tried to assure him, Romano just huffed, then sighed.

"No, you can't. He can't move and you can't get out of bed without falling..."

"But I've been feeling better-- sneeze.. until I mention it... but I'm glad you don't have it."

Romano sighed. He didn't have anything yet, he still wondered how. But then again hed not ask...

ding dinggg

Great... but didn't he let the door open...?

Romano walked through the hallway, leaning against the door frame. Japan waited at the open door.

"You couldve just entered-"

"No, that wouldn't be an appropriate thing to do, entering your personal space and living. Id rather wait for confirmation."

Romano nodded, he understood. It just wasn't necessary. It's not like he had any privacy anyway, and he knew for a fact that some people cough Spain cough would enter without a warning... not like he'd care or anything. Never.

"whatever... come in. Italys waiting already."

Japan bowed down a bit and nodded.

--

"Japan!~ it's been soo long, I've missed - sneeze you.."

"Its fine Italy, I've missed you aswell. You sound a bit better than the last time we spoke."

"Sí! Romano boxed that disease to the ground, ha."

A shocked expression crossed Japans face as he turned his head to the southern half. Romano sighed.

"No, i did not punch him literally..."

Japan nodded, quickly apologising. That was embarrassing, for both Japan and Romano. Italy let out a small yawn, so Romano decided it was best to let him rest now, then he and Japan seated themselves in the kitchen. Japan was fascinated how clean and sorted everything was, Romano seemed to notice his amazed gaze.

"Pretty clean, huh?"

"Hai. Keeping a place clean is one way of making it a good home."

"Hmpf.. thanks..?... tea?"

"I'd appreciate it, thank you very much."

Romano nodded, the water a,ready boiling.

"But i must ask, don't you feel a bit stressed taking care of two people?"

"Hm?.. oh, at some point yes... i mean, obviously. Who wouldn't... they both have their own problems. But... ugh... my brother's the bigger baby. You know how he can get."

Japan nodded, but he could understand Italy. And he was sure Romano did too, he just didn't show it.

"And Spain... at first he blamed himself for, i quote, "not closing his borders in time" or "i should've known better"... now he's brushing it off, more caring about my safety.. I'm just wondering why I don't have anything.."

"So I'm taking that he cares about you a lot."

"Sí, but my brother's the same. He always says he's fine and doesn't have anything bad. It's starting to annoy me.."

"Try their perspective."

"What do you mean..?"

"Imagine this all right now, but you take their position."

A longer silence filled the room, Romano lost in thought. The tea kettle made a sound to announce the drink was done, but both didn't notice it. Romano stayed silent a little longer, Japan waited patiently for the Italian to answer.

"... I think i get it... oh, the tea's... ready"

The Japanese nodded a 'thank you' when Romano placed the small cup with the warm liquid onto the table. He took a sip of it, silence taking over again. Until Romano spoke up again, the silence clearly making him uncomfortable.

"So, where are you gonna go next?"

"I think Greece or France..."

"I... ehm... could save you the ride to Spain. I was planning on visiting him tomorrow anyway."

"That would be very nice of you, south Italy."

"Hm, people rarely call me that... maybe they forget I'm a part of Italy aswell..."

"I don't think they forget. Maybe they just want you to stay unique."

"Unique?"

"Romano, not Italy. There's one Italy and one Romano. Both of you are unique in your own ways, such as your name."

"But you call me south Italy."

"Hai, but not because I don't acknowledge that unique part."

"Yeah whatever... call me Romano."

The Italian held out his hand, Japan hesitated. This wasn't the normal gesture he'd receive, more like hugs n stuff from Italy... Romano seemed to notice, the took his hand away...

"Well... I knew you don't like being touched but-"

"No no, it's fine. I just zoned out.. my apologies."

Romano nodded, and held out his hand again. This time, Japan took it. A small smile crossed their faces.

"Let's pack our things then..."
