I do not own Harry Potter or the Vampire Diaries

When Damon pulled away from the girl the others began to come down the steps, most of them out of curiosity but others like Bonnie and Stefan came closer in concern as they saw her state. Stefan moved farther back though when the smell of blood was too strong for him, this was not the time to lose control after all. Though despite the situation, a few couldn't help but think that she was beyond gorgeous and the unnatural glow of her emerald-green eyes only made her look that much more ethereal.

"Jade, il tesoro (honey), what's wrong? Where are you hurt?" Damon asked the concern written all over his face as he looked her over. No one had ever seen him like this before, well except Bonnie, who was looking at Jade's pale complexion in worry. Stefan obviously understood the Italian words, even though the last time he had heard it from his brother's lips was when they had been human and he then realized that Damon truly cared for the girl because he never uses that language with anyone. It reminded him too much of a time he tried his best not to remember.

"I-I...I don't..." The girl stumbled upon her words as she held her head, looking really out of it and moments away from keeling over. She stumbled for a moment and Damon quickly held onto her as his eyes looked into her own unfocused ones in absolute worry.

"Stai Bene Piccola Stellina? (Are you alright Little Star?)" Damon asked the girl and they were surprised at his use of Italian. They had learnt it when they were younger and they remembered enough to know when someone was speaking it. The Mikaelsons could understand exactly what he was saying and well, most of them couldn't care less but Rebekah couldn't help but aww in her head. She didn't like Damon and that was the understatement of the century but the fact that he called her Little Star was just so adorable.

However, her and most of the other's eyes widened a second later, when all of a sudden, her eyes rolled back in her head as she fainted. Damon quickly managed to catch her limp body before lowering them both down to the floor, they all saw him quickly bite into his arm before putting his bloodied wrist over her mouth. They all watched with bated breath, waiting for her to wake up. Except what happened next they all didn't expect, the girl had retched the blood out all over the floor and now looked even worse, it hadn't helped at all. That had never happened to any one of them before when they had tried to heal someone and they were confused about why it had happened now.

They watched Damon look down at her practically lifeless body for a moment with the uttermost fear on his face before looking up at the horrified people around him and said, "My blood can't heal her. You have to help her. You've got to know a spell or something. Anything. Just please heal my daughter."

They were all shocked at that because when was the last time Damon Salvatore begged for anything? Never. He never begged. They all doubted the word please was even in his dictionary until they heard the words coming out of his mouth. They had really underestimated his care for the girl.

The rest of the wizards and witches looked horrified as they gazed down at their savior, at their friend. Her skin was ashen, she was lying limp in a random guy's arms who they had never met before and who they were all pretty sure was a vampire, and she had just retched out his blood all over the floor. They knew their history and that there were two types of vampires, and one of them had the ability to heal people with their blood so he obviously must have been trying to heal her. They weren't normal humans though, they had magic literally inside of them and for some reason, their core disrupts the healing process and instead causes the body to reject the foreign magic. Sometimes though it depends on how big the core of a witch or wizard is, whether they are powerful enough to overcome the rejection and let the body accept the blood or the body rejects it instead. They knew Jade was powerful enough, however, considering how weak she is, it was practically impossible for her body to accept the blood right now.

The Malfoys looked at her not knowing what to think, but they were hopeful that her being alive meant that she had won. Though considering how weak she looked, it must have been a close call, they were thankful though because that meant he was finally out of their lives for good. Draco was looking at her in concern, despite their rivalry over the years, she hadn't been unkind to him unless he hurt one of her friends, she had been the only one he could actually talk to, the only one who would even begin to understand his situation, the only one who tried to. And now here she lay looking paler than should be considered healthy with blood surrounding her, not only the blood she had puked out but also her own. Everyone could see the blood flowing through the clothes she was wearing, no wonder she looked so pale.

Luna quickly made her way over, she knew exactly who he was. Jade's adopted father, she talked about him so much after all. Neville had also heard of him from Jade, she always talked about him so lovingly, there was never any worry on her face when he was mentioned, everything just got swept away and it was so sweet to watch to be honest. She motioned for the guy to move her to the floor, giving him a look when he looked like he was about to refuse to let go of her, she understood but now was not the time. He then reluctantly put her down.

Neville quickly crouched down next to her unmoving body and waved his wand over her casting a spell that would give a diagnostic report for recent wounds and looked it over in horror, Luna seeing his expression snatched it from him and paled visibly. The spells inflicted on her had all been dark spells, and not only that, they were curse spells as in the worst spells you could use, possibly on par with the Unforgiveables, and yet they were used by light wizards?

"What is it? Is she going to be ok?" Damon asked looking between their pale faces with increasing panic.

"I-I...She..." Neville stuttered for a second before shaking his head, determination in his form as he waved his wand over her frantically casting spell after spell with Luna helping him, cleaning the wounds, and healing the ones they could. They lifted her shirt to see the wound across her abdomen and stilled in shock, it looked particularly gruesome and no amount of spells they used were working, the blood just kept on flowing. Light magic couldn't overcome the curse and the two looked at each other in fear, not knowing what to do.

"For God's sake, say something! Is she...Can you...can you heal her?" Damon asked desperately, his now teary eyes not being able to look anywhere but at the wound oozing blood and a gross black substance that only made it that much more horrifying. Stefan walked forwards slightly seeing his brother's desperate state before stopping himself as the smell of blood grew stronger, he couldn't go further even if he wanted to, it was just too strong. He could only look at his brother in concern as he looked between the two people in front of him, who were obviously a witch and a wizard. He's never see ones like those though, they literally had wands and the old lady was wearing a pointy hat, what's next? Broomsticks.

The others stood there intrigued, they all had never seen witches or wizards like them before and like Stefan, they were also thinking about the fact that they fit the description of witches and wizards in the fairytales they've read in their youth. They never thought they'd actually be real though.

Bonnie stepped forwards in concern for Damon and Jade, wishing she could help but she wasn't that good at healing spells and seeing the absolute fear and desperation in his eyes made her wish more than any other time in her life that she should have tried harder to learn, then her best friend wouldn't be in this situation. It wasn't fair, he had just being reunited with his daughter after months of constant worry, only to see her paler than death and in such a state where everyone could practically see her barely holding on.

"We...we can't do much else right now. It's a dark spell, light healing spells won't make a difference." Luna explained trying to control her tears as she looked at one of her best friends.

"I don't care what you have to do or what blasted spells you have to use. Just heal my daughter! Please!" Damon said, his voice breaking as he literally begged them to save her. She was getting more paler by the minute and her breathing rate was dropping, the hitch at every breath was heard by them all and it was only getting worse. It was clear that she didn't have much time if they didn't do something right now.

"We're light wizards. We're not attuned to dark spells and even on the off chance we could use them, we don't know any healing spells," Neville said with tears in his eyes.

"What are you saying?" Damon breathed out feeling his heart drop at their defeated faces. No, this couldn't be happening. She was going to be ok, she had to be ok, they were going to save her. There had to be something. She couldn't leave him. He couldn't lose her. Not now. He just got her back. This wasn't how it was supposed to be.

"There's nothing we can do," Luna said tearfully and those words broke his heart, the pain he felt was worse than anything else he's ever had to endure. He'd rather spend another 5 years being tortured in Augustine than feel the pain of losing the most important person in his life. He shook his head in denial, there had to be something. She couldn't die right now, or ever, for that matter.

"There's got to be something," Damon said before his heightened hearing heard the lack of breathing from her direction, he focused harder, but he couldn't hear anything and his eyes widened in fear. He then focused on her heart and it was a moment later where he heard a very faint heartbeat. "She's not breathing but her heart's still beating, it's too faint though." Damon didn't know what to do, he was absolutely helpless and he hated the feeling.

"Jade I need you to breathe. Come on baby please! You need to open your eyes. You need to wake up. Please Jay, come on, I need you. You can't leave me like this. Come on baby, breathe. Jade!" Damon said more desperate than he had ever been in his life as he shook her gently but her head only lolled to the side. His breaths were beginning to get faster in his panic as his hands began shaking, tears pooled in his eyes as he held her to him, literally feeling her slipping from his grasp.

"You are not going to die. You can't. Ti Amo Piccola Stellina. I can't lose you! Wake up, please wake up!" (I love you Little Star)
