Chapter 3
To her surprise, Hermione Granger quickly discovered that she really enjoyed spending time with the guy who had once symbolized Death Eaters. Lucius was funny, well-read, and extremely intelligent. It was easy to forget their differences when she saw him trying to be polite to her as he came to her house more and more often. He was equally attentive during their walks. He listened carefully to what she said and take his time explaining things and aspects of pureblood culture that she was unaware of.
Tonight was as lovely as the previous ones.
"Did you like it?"
She watched as Lucius' face grew more and more confused. She suspected he would react like this, but she couldn't help herself. She chose "Die Hard" to introduce him to the marvel of Muggle invention. TV.
"Are you sure there are no people inside?" - he asked with concern in his voice.
"Yes I'm sure. I was explaining to you how television works before you rented this movie for me." - she tried not to laugh as an image from her mind flashed before her eyes, Lucius Malfoy at the video rental store. - "Why do you ask?"
"I wasn't sure if I should have saved Severus."
"Severus? Snape?" - It was her turn to be confused. - "What are you on about?"
"For the smartest witch of your generation, you're not very perceptive..." - He sighed angrily. - "I saw Severus on the screen."
At that moment, she understood. - "Hans Gruber was played by Alan Rickman, not Severus Snape."
"But I saw that it was Severus!" - he shouted, then blushed and mumbled an apology quickly.
"Oh, Lucius… It's just a coincidence." - They look alike. - Alan Rickman also starred in one of version of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. Would you like to watch it?"
The twinkle in the older man's eyes was enough of an answer for her. He didn't have to say anything.

He was getting more and more nervous. Ron Weasley wasn't a tempered person. He was short-tempered, quick to anger, and even quicker to judge others. He knew his flaws. However, this time he tried to be supportive of his friend. A friend who was slowly losing his mind over their missing friend.
"Will you stop walking like that and finally kindly sit down?" - he asked through clenched jaws.
Harry looked at him and after he finally sank into the chair across from him he said, "Ron... why aren't you more nervous?"
"Will that help? Anyway, I don't have the strength for my nerves..." - He furtively looked at the stump of his hand, he knew that it could be worse. He could lose the hand in which he had stronger magic. - "We have to take things calmly."
"I had the same dream again." - The dark-haired wizard lowered his head down.
"The one about the Platform 9 3/4? You know very well, Harry, that your dream will not come true. Even if we find Hermione alive. We will not be one big family. Not the way you want it. I love Lavender even though she's a werewolf. And you and my fucking family should finally understand that. I didn't cheated on Hermione. We break up amicably. What kind of world am I living in if the only person who really supports my relationship is my ex-girlfriend?"
The red-haired wizard got up and, without looking back, stormed out of his brother-in-law's office. They were still friends, but there was one point of contention between them. He was supposed to be with Hermione. Contrary to what he and Hermione thought about it.

"How are you?"
Draco Malfoy looked into his friend's eyes. Theodore Nott was one of the few people he allowed into his private life completely. He learned his lesson when Pansy Parkinson sold his private life to Rita Skeeter behind his back. The witch who tried to make cobblestone in the Daily Prophet. Fortunately, the editor-in-chief reacted in time and didn't publish an article based on information collected from his former friend.
"As if I've been hanged." - He sighed and poured himself another glass of firewhiskey. - "I can't work on the disappearance of the girl I love. My mother suspects that my father has a mistress. And Astoria Greengrass tried to reactivate the engagement contract between us."
"What?" - Malfoy was surprised by Theo's reaction, the dark-haired wizard was usually quite reserved in showing emotions.
"Fortunately, she finished that. I like her. Really. However, we've known each other for so long that trying to produce an heir with her would be like having sex with my own sister. Disgusting."
"Will you pour me a glass or will you continue drinking alone?" - After a short pause, Nott added, "Just because you can't act officially doesn't mean you can't do it behind Saint Potter's back. We both know that this boy with an ego bigger than yours at Hogwarts just wants to play savior again. This time Granger's savior.

When she woke up, she realized that Lucius wasn't by her side. She was surprised because she was usually the first to get up early. With a grimace on her face, still in her dressing robe, she headed for his office. This was where he usually started his day. To her surprise it was empty.
"Loop!" - she shouted, summoning her husband's personal house elf.
With a crack, an elf appeared, wearing a tunic with a floral apron instead of a pillowcase. Narcissa preferred not to know what caused such a significant change. - "Where is the master of the house?"
"Lord Malfoy is currently off the property." - The elf's answer was short. Lady Malfoy didn't have time to ask another question, because the small creature disappeared as soon as the answer to the question asked was given.
"Severus." - He will have to know something. The witch spun on the spot with a movement that lifted the fabric of her robe in a way many Hogwarts students associated with the Potions Master.

She ran her fingers over his hand. She hoped to wake up him. The last time she tried to wake him up a little more vigorously, she was rewarded with a wand stuffed down her throat. She smiled as she felt goose bumps under her fingertips.
"Lucius..."
She thought she might tease him a bit. She leaned over the wizard sitting in the chair and, keeping her mouth close to his ear, whispered - "Honey, it's time to get up... You'll miss all the fun."
What she didn't expect was the kind of reaction she would get. After a while, she felt a man's hand tangling her loose, curly hair and the taste of a kiss on her lips. She didn't expect him to pull her with his other arm so that she landed astride his lap. And she certainly didn't expect to enjoy the feel of his hand on the bare skin of her thigh.
Unknowingly, she purred in his arms, tasting a kiss that would never happen again.
