Chapter 4

Although she was enjoying the kiss and enjoying it, she was also waiting for the moment when Lucius' arm's grip would loosen and she could push him away. Fortunately, it happened sooner than she expected.

"Narcissa..." - the wizard whispered with clear excitement in his voice.

Hermione reacted while she had the chance. "It would be better if I were Lady Malfoy."

To the witch's surprise, Lucius Malfoy didn't care at all about what had happened. He just smiled and, still holding her in his arms, asked with a swashbuckling smile on his face, "Did you like it? I am confident in my abilities but every woman has different preferences. And not only a woman. The man too."

She was surprised. She didn't know how to react to the older man's behavior. After a moment of awkward silence, the blonde combed his hair and said with a bit of embarrassment, "You just found out the reason why I always try to fall asleep in my bed. Near my wife. Before I even wake up, I'm getting quite kissable. My last 'victim' was Severus."

"Severus?" - as soon as the brunette felt that Lucius released his grip, she slid off his lap and sat down on the armchair opposite the one where the future grandfather of her children was sitting.

"Oh, yes... But then I realized who I was kissing when I was lying on him and my hand found between his legs something that Narcissa definitely couldn't have." - Hermione watched in fascination as Lucius's face changed as he sank into the memories. "Since then, Severus only approaches me after I've had breakfast. Even during my disgraceful service to the Dark Lord, Tom Riddle himself couldn't force him into my bedroom."

He liked going home. At school he thought he would live at Grimmuald Place 12, the former headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. That would be in accordance with his godfather's will. After the war, he was surprised to find that the property of the Ancient and Noble House of Black could only be passed on to a member of that family. Thus, everything ended up in the hands of Draco Malfoy. Directly into his hands.

He remembered how disappointed Ginny had been about this. And not only her. Molly was extremely disappointed that not only was the Malfoy property not completely confiscated, but the Malfoy heir was given a new title. He was the current Lord Black and the future Lord Malfoy.

However, thanks to this confusion, in the name of repaying the merits of society, Harry was given the opportunity to live in his parents' house. The house in Godric's Hollow was smaller than the Black house, but large enough to meet the needs of his future family.

As soon as he got through rehearsals he saw Ginny bustling around the kitchen. She turned to him smiling. The moment she saw him, the radiant smile on her face disappeared and was replaced with a grimace of surprise. - "Harry…" - the red-haired witch quickly ran up to him and put her arms around his neck. Looking into his eyes, she asked, "What happened? You look like someone died..."

"I spoke to Ron."

That was enough of an answer for her. She took his hand and led them to sit on the couch together. - "Did you have a fight?"

"Word for word and we argued again about the same thing. It started with Hermione and ended with Lavender."

Ginny shook her head before saying, "I really don't understand what he sees in Brown. Hermione would suit him better."

"Maybe, are we wrong? Maybe we should let go? Ron has been with Lavender for over two years. It doesn't look like they're breaking up anytime soon."

"He flirted with LavLav..." - Ron's nickname for the blonde sounded more insulting than sympathy from Ginny - "...and broke up with her because he was in love with Hermione. So it will be now. He's with her to spite us."

Harry wasn't as sure as his wife was. But he didn't want to argue with her. Especially now that he was trying to solve the mystery of his friend's disappearance. Kingsley handed over the attack case to another team of Aurors. Miraculously, he managed to convince him to let him search for information about Hermione. However, he was warned that any arbitrary act he decides on may end up with at least suspension from his duties. He preferred to avoid it. He had to earn. The Potters' vaults were not limitless, and his wife had her needs.

Resigned, he headed to the bedroom to sleep off his night shift.

"Have you figured out what you're going to tell your wife?" - Hermione was concerned because they hadn't anticipated that Lucius would fall asleep and not come home for the night.

"I'll tell the truth. I'll say, I'm making new social connections and I may have overdone it a bit with the alcohol. I will also buy Narcissaa's favorite chocolates. I always bring them to her in a similar situation." - He nervously ran his fingers through his hair, she had seen Draco's gesture many times.

He quickly walked over to her and took her face in his hands. He wiped the tears that ran down her cheek with his thumbs. - "What happened?"

"I miss your son." - She closed her eyes trying to hold back her tears.

"Will you finally tell me why you're hiding? Why are you hiding from him?" - he whispered. Lucius had a feeling that he shouldn't speak out loud.

"The two Aurors who escorted us, Ron and Harry, took an wizard oath ensuring that the route of the journey would remain secret. I took it too. It's just that they took it right after learning about the route. Me after I told about it to your son. I know he wouldn't betray me. I'm not sure about his Occlumency Shield though."

Lucius was still holding her close. She scared him. Her suspicions meant only one thing. Someone in direct contact with his family is embroiled in a threat to the life of his future daughter-in-law.

Future daughter-in-law. It froze him. For the first time, he admitted to himself that he wanted Hermione Granger to be his daughter-in-law. His family.

He wasn't expecting visitors at this hour. He wasn't expecting visitors at all. Severus Snape was one of those people who preferred his own company to false friends. It just so happened that his friends announced themselves before disturbing his peace. Reluctantly, he went to the door to see who in the morning trying to break through the door of his house at Snpinner's End.

"Draco?" - he asked confused, indeed he had an appointment with his godson but for tomorrow - "I won't ask WHAT are you doing here. I'd rather ask why you're here TODAY."

The young wizard moved him with his hand and entered without asking. As soon as he closed the door and the room was dim again, broken only by the light of two candles by which he was reading, one short and simple question was asked.

"How much blood do you need to locate a specific witch?"

It had to be important. Draco Malfoy wouldn't ask for a ritual punishable by the removal of magic since 1412 for someone who wasn't important to him. - "Who are you looking for?"

"Hermione Granger."

"But you know we may not find her? There's a good chance we'll find another spot where she bled."

"I'll do anything to find her."

Severus understood him. He also did everything for his beloved. "Does she at least reciprocate your affection?"

"Yes, she does." - Young Malfoy's face lit up for a moment.

"I'll help you."
