The alarm blared several minutes before Izuku could wake up enough to fumble for his phone and turn it off. He fell back into his pillow. His eyes were puffy and his mind groggy from no sleep. After returning to his room the night before, he'd laid awake staring into the dark. Was it possible to feel such bliss? His body had been buzzing from being cradled in Kacchan's arms, every touch of his hands had been sheer delight. Izuku had never known him to be so openly tender, it had almost felt… "Pfffft," Izuku laughed, stopping himself. Kacchan had felt bad for what had happened in the past, that was all, nothing more. Slowly standing up, he headed out to the kitchen, the light was on, the pungent aroma of coffee in the air. Kacchan was leaning on the counter, drinking coffee. He smiled at him.
"Good morning," Katsuki picked up the carafe, "coffee?"
"Mmmm," Izuku nodded, pulling out his sweet creamer from the fridge. The blonde handed him a full cup. Ruffling his hair, he kissed him on the head. Izuku ducked back, "Kacchan!" His eyes popped wide, he was awake now.
"What?" Katsuki cocked a brow, he took a sip of his coffee.
"You can't kiss me like that."
"Why not? We made up last night."
Green eyes stared hard at the blond. "Made up what?" Izuku sputtered, "we're friends," he swiped at where he'd kissed him. "Friends don't kiss each other like that."
"Yes they do, I read it once, there's some country where they kiss on the head, especially if the other person has curly green hair," sipping his coffee Katsuki chuckled.
"Not this country," Izuku grabbed a banana. He walked back out to the barstools propping himself up, eating the fruit with his coffee, he eyed Kacchan suspiciously.
"I see you found a new All Might shirt," Katsuki pointed to the nerd's t-shirt.
"Oh, yeah," Izuku pulled out the hem, the giant face of All Might dominated the front. "In a novelty shop in some country where the Lollipops were touring, I'd grown out of my other one a long time ago."
"I bet you still have it."
Blushing, Izuku looked away, "maybe." Kacchan laughed, walking out to the living room, he began pounding on the other doors.
"Oi, get the fuck up idiots, time to go!"
"We have a little time," Izuku looked at the clock on the microwave.
"Fuck, you think that's the only time I'll be pounding on their damn doors? They came in about two hours ago, they're wasted."
"I never heard them."
"I did, loud as fucking shit too." Katsuki went back to his room to finish getting his gear pulled together. The idiots had been yelling their heads off at each other when they got back, but he'd been awake. He'd laid in bed all night thinking. Being able to finally say sorry had felt good, but Deku cradled in his arms had felt better. He'd sat in the dark thinking about his body in his arms, he'd wanted to keep holding him. About twenty times he'd gone to his bedroom door, wanting to drag Deku back to his bed. Every time he'd glared at the nerd's door knowing he would scare the shit out of him and stalked back to his room. Closing up his suitcase, he wondered when he'd be able to hold him like that again. And after that? Bakugou shook his head, the image of him naked, moaning his name caused a surge of desire to run through him. He adjusted his pants with a grimace. That had to stop, he knew that this was different, the nerd wasn't like anyone else in his life. Sighing he clipped his bags together, he'd have to do something he'd never done before. Running a hand through his blonde spikes, he laughed harshly, could he do it? Could they start over? Deku had promised to stop avoiding him, he wondered if he'd begin to relax around him again. But would he accept him as more than a friend?
"Kacchan?"
Speaking of the little green haired devil. "Yeah?"
"The driver is here, I'm going to go get the bus ready, when you're ready come down, we should try to leave in about thirty minutes."
"Did anyone else get up?"
"I did get responses from everyone," Izuku looked around, "no one is out yet though. Should I come back up?"
"No, I'll drag their asses out."
"Okay, see you in a bit, we'll park out front since the streets are empty." Izuku grabbed his suitcase, backpack and balancing a huge box, he headed out to the elevator. Rolling his bag to the lobby, the desk was empty maneuvering out the door, he walked outside. Ojiro stepped off the bus.
"Hey Midoriya," he grabbed Izuku's bag, "man so glad to be driving for you." He pulled the bag onto the bus, "there were two buses going out today, I won the lottery."
"Thirteen is a special bus," Izuku beamed, setting down the box.
"Not just the bus," Ojiro winked, "we all love driving for you."
"Thanks Ojiro," Izuku checked the fridge, everything he'd loaded up was still packed in tight.
"What's in the box?"
"Two gaming systems, I see the screen here, the other still in the back?"
"Yep," Ojiro walked to the back lounge. "They reconfigured the bed so it flips up now with this switch, some bean bags and cushions stored away there, you can get comfy, hook up to the TV and play games."
"I already set up the computers in the two bedrooms and my office equipment is stashed in the main dining area." Izuku grinned. "I can't wait for them to see this bus!"
"What? These guys never rode on Thirteen?"
"They've never seen any of the nice buses, they've always had the bottom of the rung."
"But now they got you," Ojiro raised his brows. "Lucky fuckers."
"It took a lot of work, but thankfully Thirteen was in for repairs and some swapping had to be done anyway, it was open for two months, I just had to barter with Kyouka to keep it the extra month."
"She's serious, I can't believe you managed that!"
"Unless you know her favorite candy, then she's easy, I had some overnighted and she caved."
"Hello?"
"Hey Kiri," Izuku raced to the front of the bus, grinning. Sero, Shinso and Kacchan were huddled in the cool morning air staring at the huge bus. "Welcome to Thirteen," Izuku waved them on board. Ojiro grabbed their bags, stashing them out of the way. "Once we decide on bedrooms, we can get our stuff."
"What the fuck is this?" Shinso stared, the bus was huge. Luxury dripping from every surface, there was soft lighting emanating from both inlaid floor and ceiling lights. A huge couch lined one side, a smaller couch and chair across the way, a giant TV screen hung on the wall between them. There was a small dining table with cushioned booths and a gorgeous kitchen right past the couches. A door past the kitchen was open. "This is better than The Wonder's ride." Shinso was spinning around looking at everything.
"I think we're on the wrong bus," Kiri bumped Izuku on the shoulder.
"Do you like it?" Izuku was grinning so wide his cheeks were sore. He pointed excitedly to the back, "come check out the bedrooms." Leading the way through the door he just about danced down the hallway. "The bus has two bathrooms, one here," he pointed to a smaller bathroom. "The other is bigger but shares with this bedroom and the back lounge."
"There's three bedrooms?" Shinso poked his head in the first door.
"I had them take out the twins and put in two full bunks in each bedroom."
Looking into a bedroom, Katsuki checked out the two full size bunk beds with a TV, desk and chest of drawers. "This is nice Deku, why'd we get this?"
"Because it missed the One Voice tour, down for repairs, they took Recovery Girl, she's the plushest but not as roomy as Thirteen."
"I didn't even know Mr. A had these." Katsuki sat down on one of the beds, "these are better than my own bed."
"Check out the back bedroom!" Sero called to them.
"This room is a hang out room and a bedroom," Izuku hit a switch on the wall and the bed slowly raised off the floor and tucked into a built-in Murphy unit. "There are cushions and bean bags in this closet, this way you can hang out, watch TV or game if you don't want to be in the front."
"What do you mean game?" Kiri looked at the game box sitting on the shelf.
"Everything is satellite, so TV and gaming systems connect, I grabbed your gaming stuff.
"This is unbelievable," Shinso pushed the button watching the huge bed descend back down.
"This is the master bath, it's big, but you can access it from the bedroom too, so three people share this one and two share the other."
"Who gets the back lounge?" Shinso sat on the large bed.
"Should we toss a coin?" Sero opened the huge shower door.
"Hey everyone, I pulled up all the cones, we need to get moving, any requests on the way?" Ojiro stepped into the room.
"I think we're good Ojiro, by the way these are the Pointless Vandals, Shinso, Hanta, Kirishima and Bakugou."
"Nice to meet you," he glanced at Bakugou, "I've heard of you guys, looking forward to driving you. I'm Ojiro, the driver, sit on my tail all day, but get you where you need to go," he laughed, heading back up to the seat. The bus lurched as he started down the street.
"One bed here, two beds in each of the other rooms?" Katsuki looked at the guys, he was playing with his lip piercing.
"Yeah, we won't always be sleeping on the bus, whoever takes the back lounge needs to realize people could be in here," Izuku warned, pointing to the gaming center. "I'll share one of the bunk rooms, if that's okay." Izuku knew Kacchan would take the big room, he glanced furtively at Shinso, he just hoped he ended up with Kiri or Sero.
"Nerd, can you let us chat as a band for a minute?" Katsuki crossed his arms.
"Oh sure, Kacchan, I've got to discuss some stuff with Ojiro," Izuku walked up towards the front, closing the privacy door on the way.
"What's up?" Shinso flopped on the bed, "I'd like this room, even if you bastards will be in here."
"You can have this room but only if the nerd shares a room with me," Katsuki glanced at Shitty Hair.
"Fuck that," Shinso sat up. "Why don't we just serve up the end of our tour on a fucking platter, asshole, you like him, now you want to fuck him." He glanced at Sero and Kiri.
"He's fucking right Bakugou, didn't we all say we want him after the tour?" Kiri looked at his friend, "do you even give a shit about your band!?"
"Do you like him? Or just want to fuck him?" Sero leaned on the door.
Glaring at them all, Katsuki shook his head, "It's none of your fucking business if I like him."
"Yes, it the fuck is! Prick! You're the one getting us in hot water all the time!" Shinso jumped up off the bed.
Jaw clenched, Katsuki glared at him, "I promise that I won't fuck him if he bunks with me."
"What happens when you do?"
"What do you mean Freak?" Katsuki scowled.
"If you fuck him on this tour, then," Shinso tipped his head to look at the blonde's ass, "you let me fuck you."
Grabbing the Freak by his shirt, Katsuki slammed him into the wall. "I'd like to see you try dickhead!"
Laughing, Shinso leaned closer into his face. "If you're serious, bet your ass, otherwise fuck that, we flip a coin, total random." He lifted his brows, "who knows maybe I'll get him as my roommate. You know, once you go purple, you never go back," Shinso smiled wide.
"I can share with Zu, he and I are friends, I think he'd be cool with me in the same room." Kiri offered.
Throwing a death glare at Shitty Hair, Katsuki growled, "that's the fucking problem." Looking back at Freak, he clicked his tongue, "fine, you're on, if I stick my dick in the nerd's ass during this tour, you can do the same to me." He dropped the purple extra, tossing him from the wall. Shinso stumbled back, dropping back onto the bed. "But, if you touch him or anyone else touches him," he pointed a finger at Kiri, "the deal is of." He raised his brows at Freak, "cool?"
"Fucking cool," Shinso grinned.
Katsuki stalked out of the room.
"Holy Shit!" Sero looked at Kiri, "did you fucking hear that?"
"Man," Kiri looked at Shinso, his mouth open wide, "you are one ballsy purple bastard, but, if he does fuck Zu," he whistled low. "I wouldn't even try to make good on that bet, he'll snap your dick off."
"I got an iron dick Kiri," Shinso smirked, "I'll make him my bitch."
Kiri shook his head, "That'll never fucking happen, he'll throw Zu out the window first."
You heard him though, don't fuck with Izuku. Nobody touches him." Shinso nodded at the guys, "I guarantee, he's so fucking smitten, I'll be tapping that blonde ass in three months," he grinned wickedly.
"Taking side bets?" Kiri crossed his arms.
"Which way?"
Looking down the hall Kiri bit his lip, if he knew anyone it was Bakugou. "I bet your dick is dry by the end of three months, no way you're fucking him."
"You're on, what's the bet?" Shinso ran his tongue along his teeth. "You admitted you don't have shit, and I don't want your goddamn guitar." He leaned his head on his shoulder eyeing his ass. "Do I get you too? The little cherry on top of the ice cream sundae?"
Blushing red, Kiri squinted at Shinso. "My limited-edition Naruto volume 1, foil cover."
Sero hit him on the chest, "not that man! Go for the ass fucking, it's not worth it!" He tried dragging his friend out of the room.
"You have that?" Shinso nodded, impressed, "I'll take that bet, what's my stake?"
Shaking loose from Sero, Kiri eyed Shinso, "the commercial."
"A commercial? I can't just give you a job like that, stupid fuck."
"That commercial for the camping gear, Mr. A said they would've taken either of us, you back out and it's mine. It's not set to shoot until we get home. If I can get a commercial, I'd get more jobs." He looked at Sero, "I could buy a lot of manga with regular jobs."
"Oh, yeah, that could be worth it," Sero twisted his lips and leaned back on the doorway.
"So, if Bakugou fucks Izuku, I get to peg him and I get your limited-edition Naruto, but if he doesn't, I gotta give up the commercial." Shinso leaned back, "you want in on this Sero?"
"Me?" He shook his head, "no fucking way, I'll be the referee."
"Okay, you're on, I'll do that," Shinso pulled out his phone. "I'll even call Mr. A and tell him that I'm still deciding on the shoot, they can put you in as a second," he snickered, "not that I think you're gonna win." Laying on the bed, he popped his head up, "you sure you won't throw in a fuck?"
"No way Shinso," Kiri hit Sero, "wanna room with me? We'll let big balls here have the suite." Laughing he pushed Sero down the hall to their room.
"You seem pretty fucking happy," Sero shot a worried look at Kiri, "you sure about all that? That Naruto, it was a gift from your grandpa or something, right?"
"I am not losing that bet," Kiri looked at Bakugou's door. "No fucking way he'll let Shinso touch his ass, Midoriya could run through this place naked and Katsuki would stay away."
"I suppose," Sero sat on the bed. "What if they try to sneak something in?"
"Nah, Bakugou's got some seriously fucked up pride, he wouldn't even if Shinso was in outer space." Kiri sat down grinning.
"Well, I hope you're right, I know that commercial could do a lot for you, it'd be cool if you could get some more paying gigs."
"It would, I've been looking for an angle to get Shinso to give that one up, now I just wait, when the tours over it's my commercial."
Katsuki finished putting away his stuff, he shoved his suitcase under the bed. He smiled, stupid purple extra, he'd played right into what he wanted. Betting his ass was a little more than he'd expected, his temper had gotten away from him. "Shit," he muttered, at least he didn't have to fucking worry about any of them messing with the nerd and Freak would be his watch dog. Sitting down on the bed, he thought about the next three months, having the nerd around all the time would make things easier for them to ease into their friendship again. Running a hand through his spikes, he sucked his lip piercing, it would also be the most sexually frustrating three months of his life. Sighing, he went to go look for him.
Izuku sat at the end of the couch, he was writing in his notebook. He and Ojiro had decided to do one long stop at a place for lunch, Ojiro could take a nap and then they could get the rest of the way on the food he'd packed.
"Still have your notebook?" Katsuki settled in next to the nerd, curving himself around his body.
"Kacchan," Izuku smiled, he pushed him back, "give me some room."
"I can't see your notebook if I back up."
"What's there to see? Like you said, I still have my notebook. And yes, before you tease me," Izuku looked at him. "I still make notes about all of the heroes and villains in the All Might series, the new season's coming out, I want to watch it to see what's going to happen."
"I'd watch it with you," Katsuki leaned on his elbow, looking over the nerd's shoulder. He was writing different things about the tour. Most of the page was notes on the trip, his eyes wandered to the opposite page, he read the words Press Conference, there Deku had meticulously listed all of the questions and answers.
"You write a lot of detail, does it help?"
"Sometimes," Izuku nodded absentmindedly, "I guess little notes about our trip aren't that necessary."
"I was looking at the press conference, you wrote down all of the questions," the nerd slammed the book shut. Katsuki raised his brows, "why'd you do that?"
"I was done," Izuku reached down to put his notebook back in his backpack.
"Wait," Katsuki quickly pulled the notebook out of his hand, "can I just read the part below the questions."
"No," Green eyes wide, Izuku tried to grab the book. Kacchan moved it out of his reach.
"I'm curious why you closed it so fast, did you write something about me?"
"I did Kacchan, that you were cranky, embarrassing and left early," Izuku tried to grab the book. A slow heat was burning up his neck to his pale cheeks.
"That's all? That doesn't bother me nerd, I'm always cranky, embarrassing and leave early, let me look," he started to open the book.
"Wait!" Izuku took a deep breath, "it says you should wear that outfit again."
"The outfit from the press conference?" The nerd nodded. Katsuki opened the book, reading through the notes his eyes widened, he laughed. The nerd covered his face. Katsuki ran his hand lightly through his green curls, "do you really want to know the answer?" He leaned in closer to the nerd.
"If I say no, you'll know I'm lying, so kind of?" He studied Kacchan's chin, Izuku could feel the blonde's hand brushing his curls, his body shivered.
"I usually only wear the sharp ones for show, so I don't generally kiss with them on," Katsuki smiled, taking the nerd's hand, he put his fingers on his snakebites. "I wear these flat ones, or my balls."
"Do they rub on the other person's chin when you kiss?" Izuku fingered the flat studs gently below his lower lip.
"Would you like to test that?" Katsuki pushed his chin into the nerd's hand.
"N-No it's okay, I was just wondering." Izuku couldn't take his eyes off the snakebites, they made him seem so sexy, what was it about the piercings on him?
Going back to the book, Katsuki scanned the other notes, "what else?"
"I'd rather you not read everything Kacchan," Izuku protested, he held out his hand for the book. The blonde shook his head reading. "Fine," Izuku sighed, "I was wondering how many piercings you had."
"I have nineteen."
"Nineteen? Really! Where?"
"To see them all, we should probably go back to the room for privacy." Katsuki smiled.
"No, never mind, I don't need to see them!" Izuku paled visibly.
"I'm thinking of getting one more actually."
"Do you have anywhere left?"
"Right here, bridge of my nose, I think it would even out my face." The nerd tipped his head studying him. Katsuki's heart did a quick two beat, "with my snakebites and my lip ring, I've always felt I needed one more."
Reaching up Izuku held the blonde's face firmly in his hands, he tried to imagine him with more piercings. "How about two more?"
"Two?" Katsuki thought about that, "where?"
"One on the opposite side of your lip ring, on your nose, here," Izuku lightly touched the side of his nose, "and then the bridge of your nose."
"A ring or a stud?" Katsuki was enjoying having his green eyes appraise his face, the nerd was so serious about the question.
"A stud I think."
"Those two then? You think that would look good?"
Pointing to the middle of his own nose, Izuku tilted his head still studying his face, "you could do a nose ring but I think the side piercing would be sexier." A soft blush stained freckled cheeks, "for the fans," Izuku added quickly. "You want the fans to be attracted to you."
"For the fans, of course," Katsuki turned his head and holding the nerd's wrist firmly, he pressed his lips into the palm of his hand. He smiled, letting him go.
"Kacchan," Izuku scolded, he clenched his fist.
"Kissing a hand is a sign of friendship in other countries," Katsuki teased.
"Yeah, right," Izuku sat on his hand.
Standing up, Katsuki stretched. "I didn't eat," he walked to the small kitchen, "I'm going to cook a quick egg, want anything?"
"Oh, sure, an egg sounds good," Izuku followed him, sitting at the small dining table, opening his book to finish making notes. "I made some pancake mix too."
"You want pancakes?"
"I'm hungry," Izuku admitted.
"Eggs and pancakes then, I'll cook them up," Katsuki opened up the fridge. The bus was rocking gently at this point, with all the window blockades up, Bakugou couldn't see where they were. Glancing forward to the windows at the front of the bus, he could see they were on the main expressway. "When are you planning on stopping?"
"Ojiro and I decided that we'll stop a little over halfway, so not for several hours." Izuku closed his book. "He might stop for some breaks, depending on how tired he gets."
"That must be a tough job," he glanced up at the driver sitting in a huge seat up front. Black eyes were staring at him in the rearview mirror, they darted back to the road. What was that? Bakugou was used to being stared at everywhere he went, he recognized different looks, that one almost looked… protective? He shook his head, probably jealous, watching everyone else hanging out while he was driving. Walking to the front of the bus, Katsuki waved to the driver. "Are you hungry? I'm making a quick breakfast."
Ojiro glanced at him for a moment then nodded, "make it easy, finger food. Hey, can you make coffee too?" He held up an empty cup.
The question was demanding, leaving no room for any other answer but yes, Katsuki raised his brows, "sure." Grabbing the cup, he walked back to the kitchen feeling black eyes watching him again. Clicking his tongue, Katsuki began making breakfast. "So how do you know this driver?"
"Ojiro?" Izuku looked up at the smaller blonde man driving. "He started driving right out of high school, he was one of the more seasoned drivers assigned to the Lollipops, in the beginning of their career." Izuku pulled out his phone, he scrolled through some of the music message boards. "He's also a bodyguard if we need."
"Did you spend a lot of time with him?" Katsuki side eyed the driver, he was definitely watching them closely. He shifted his back to him, mixing the pancake mix. Who was this person to Deku?
"Sometimes, it depended on the tour." Izuku clicked open Todoroki's blog. "In the beginning he and I both crashed on the bus together, so we hung out a lot. Later if I had the budget, I would usually get him a room at the hotel, gave him my room and I would stay on the bus." Izuku shrugged, "I think a rested driver is better than a rested manager."
"Makes sense, so you don't get yourself a room?"
"Not if the tour budget is tight, like ours, I'll sleep on the bus, there's a whole battery system, plus the bedroom pops out, I'll be comfy." Izuku looked up as Kacchan was heating the skillet. "I forgot to tell you, I had them install a bunk in the big bedroom with you, so he can crash there when we're not in a hotel." Izuku looked towards the back, "I should've warned you, sorry."
"I'm not in the back bedroom," Katsuki added butter, smoke curled up from the pan.
"Oh," Izuku jumped up to the stove top, "here," he pulled the vent open. "You're not in the back bedroom?" He looked down the hall, "who is?"
"Freak took it, you're bunking with me," Katsuki kept his voice casual, a smile forming. He'd been waiting to see how the nerd would react to this information.
"With you?" His tone questioning, "you mean in the bedroom together?" Izuku's voice slipped up an octave.
"Yeah, do you want to be top or bottom?" The smile broke across his face.
"Top or Bottom?" Izuku was trying to figure out what Kacchan was saying, they were sharing a room? He had to be hearing things. The blonde opened the syrup, the contents expanded making it spill over, he caught the large drip with his finger.
"You still like syrup?" Katsuki held up his finger.
"I do," the moment Izuku opened his mouth Kacchan put his syrup coated fingertip into his mouth, laughing as he slid it back out over his teeth, trying to get all of the sweet stickiness off his finger. "Kacchan!" Izuku stepped back, licking the syrup trail that had dripped on his lips.
"You missed some," Katsuki reached out to wipe at the small dab of syrup on the nerd's mouth. Izuku jumped back so fast he hit his head on the cabinet.
"OW!" Izuku rubbed his skull. He saw the smoke coming from the pan, "Kacchan you're burning the butter!" He continued rubbing his head.
"Fuck," Bakugou grabbed the pan and quickly cleaned it out, adding more butter. "Shit, did I make it smoky in here?" There was a slight haze, fumbling with the vent he turned it up to high. He grinned at the nerd, who was still rubbing his head. "You never answered me." He poured the pancake batter into rounds.
"Why'd you do that?"
"I've heard -"
"No more other countries Kacchan!" Izuku punched his shoulder, "I'm serious!"
"I'm serious too, you're avoiding my question, are you a top or a bottom kinda guy?" Katsuki eyed him. "I like the top but if you prefer that, I can switch with you." Picking up the spatula, he chuckled, "we can figure it out when we go to bed if you'd rather," he swallowed his laughter. The nerd's eyes flickered with uncertainty. Katsuki started to edge the pancakes.
"Don't flip those yet Kacchan, you have to have more holes," Izuku grabbed the spatula. "If you do that too early, you'll get batter everywhere." Izuku scooted closer to Kacchan, he bumped him with his hip to get him to move. Grunting and putting his arm up on the cabinet, he leaned over his shoulder to watch him cook.
"This is going to happen faster than I thought," Shinso sneered as he walked out from down the hall sitting at the table yawning, his eyes drooped and dark.
"I thought you were sleeping," Katsuki scowled, he pushed away from the nerd, leaning on the counter.
"I was, until I smelled smoke, I thought the bus was burning down."
"I was making breakfast and I burned the butter."
"Get distracted?"
Katsuki shrugged, he looked back at the nerd who had expertly flipped all of the pancakes. "How did you end up making breakfast?"
"I'm a professional pancake flipper Kacchan, you go ahead and do the eggs though," Izuku pointed to the food he had pulled out earlier. He glanced at Shinso, "Kacchan told me you're in the back room?" Izuku hoped he'd been teasing him.
"I am, great bed by the way, best I've tried out so far on a tour, even The Wonders. You're sharing with the Blonde Bombshell." Shinso threw his arms over the back of the cushioned seat. He smiled, "don't let me interrupt you."
"I need to tell you that the driver will sleep in the room with you on the nights we're not in a hotel." Izuku flipped the pancakes on the waiting plate.
"What?" Shinso leaned over to look at the man driving in the front, it was hard to see him. "Why?"
"There's a bunk locked into the back wall, it can be pulled down, otherwise he has to sleep on the couch." Izuku set the pancakes on the table, "we can switch rooms if that's a problem." He'd never asked for the back bedroom before but now he hoped Shinso would switch with him.
"Nah, that's cool, only a few nights, right?"
"Yeah, I think about four total, maybe more, I'd have to look," Izuku sighed disappointed. Pulling down plates he handed one to Shinso.
"I'm not hungry, I'm tired," he stood and headed back down the hall. "Good luck Bakugou," he called.
"Here's the eggs, I made scrambled," Katsuki set down a plate heaping with eggs. Wrapping a pancake around some egg and grabbing the newly made coffee he made his way back to Ojiro. "Here," he set the plate on the large flat surface by the driver, taking his cup he filled it. "Black?" Katsuki kept his voice clipped.
"Yeah, good, thanks," Ojiro nodded to the food. Peering back into the mirror Ojiro watched him walk away. When Izuku had come down to Purple High's bus division and told Ibarra that he was managing the P.V.'s and needed a driver for Thirteen, they'd called a meeting. Izuku was the favorite among all the driving staff and knowing the P.V.'s, they'd decided they needed someone to watch their best manager and keep him safe. It had been pretty much unanimous that Ojiro would be the driver. He had worked as a bodyguard as well as a driver and his instincts were always right. He'd had to reschedule a few things, but now watching the drummer hanging all over Izuku, he was glad he'd accepted, the kid was too naive for his own good. Bakugou looked like a wolf ready to devour a green haired lamb.
Finishing up breakfast, Katsuki washed the dishes and loaded the small dishwasher, "this does have everything."
"It does," Izuku yawned, now that he'd eaten, a heavy drowsiness was pulling at his eyes. "I'm tired, can we figure out the bedroom?" He was too sleepy to argue about where he was sleeping anymore.
"Sure," Katsuki smiled, Deku looked exhausted, he wondered if the nerd had struggled with a sleepless night too. He led the way back to the bunk beds, "top or bottom?"
"Do you care?"
"Nope," Katsuki leaned on the dresser. The nerd was clenching the handle of his suitcase so tightly he could see his skin was turning white. Was he that upset with him? After last night and this morning, Katsuki really thought the nerd was warming up to him.
"I don't like the top," Izuku squeezed his suitcase handle. If he had to stay with Kacchan, he wanted to be able to escape quickly if needed. "Can I have the bottom?"
Laughing to himself, Katsuki knew the joke was lost on the nerd, "yeah, you can Deku. I'm pretty tired too, I'm going to wash up." Leaving him alone he wanted to give him space to unpack. Taking his time, Bakugou took a shower, dried his hair and even shaved. He opened the door slowly, he was in bed, green curls barely sticking out from the comforter. Setting down his stuff Katsuki stared at the large bump in the bed, how would his body feel against his? His fingers itched to touch his soft curls like he'd always done, but wrapped around his body, which he'd never done. Growling Katsuki swung himself onto the top bunk, "fuck," he muttered.
"What's wrong Kacchan?"
"You're awake?"
"Mmm."
"Just thinking about stuff."
"You sound frustrated."
"Kind of."
"Is it a new song?"
"Yeah, sort of like that."
"Why is it frustrating?" Izuku turned his head to look up.
Touching the roof of the bus, Katsuki smiled, "it's an old song but at the same time a new one."
"One you wrote when you were in the garage?"
"It started long before then," Katsuki sighed, the nerd's soft voice was like a caress in the darkened room.
"Really? Are you trying to rework it like the others?"
"No, this is a totally new arrangement."
"How is it new?"
"Well," Katsuki turned to lean on the edge of the bunk bed, he hung his head down looking for those green eyes below. He smiled when he saw them glowing in the dimly lit room. "I've never written a song like this one, a whole new beat and melody, I'm hoping I can do a good job, that you'll like it."
"Me?" Izuku laughed, the blonde was hanging upside down, "who cares what I think? As long as you like it, then it's a good song, right? Isn't that what you always said, you don't do anything for anyone else, only yourself."
"I did say that," Katsuki clicked his tongue. "That's what's kinda different, I'm trying to write a song someone else might like," he grimaced. "I suck at that, I've always been about myself."
"I know you don't usually want it, but if you could use my help, I'm happy to do anything." Kacchan's face lifted in a lopsided grin, Izuku took a deep breath, his heart missing several beats.
"I do want your help, nerd." Kacchan's head disappeared, Izuku heard him moving. "In fact, I need your help," he suddenly jumped down, "move over," he commanded.
"Why?"
"You said you'd help."
"W-With the song." Izuku stammered.
"Right, move over," he pulled the covers back.
"Kacchan!" Izuku yelped, tugging at the blanket.
"I thought you said you'd help me write my song, nerd," Katsuki frowned in disappointment.
"How is getting in bed with me helping you write a song?!" Izuku was panicking, did he really want to get into bed with him?
"I think better when I sleep next to someone."
"Seriously?" Izuku's voice climbed another octave.
"Scout's honor," he pulled on the cover.
"You were kicked out of the troop Kacchan."
"I was," he laughed. Squatting down, Bakugou rested his chin on the edge of the bed, his face serious. "This song is important to me Deku, important for me to share with you. Will you please help me?"
"Oh, um," Izuku bit his lip, the look on Kacchan's face was almost sad, "really?" He let go of the blanket, "just sleep?"
"Just sleep nerd, unless I can try that kiss again?" Katsuki winked.
"NO!" Izuku scooted until he was against the wall. The bed was roomy but the extra space was swallowed up the moment he laid down. "How long does it take for you to write a song?" Izuku curled up, his heart tripping as he gazed at the beautiful shape of Kacchan's arm muscles which were now tucked behind his head, he turned his gorgeous ruby red eyes on him.
"This song is different."
"Okay, how long will it take to write this different song?" Izuku repeated quietly.
"No more than three months," he smiled at the nerd, "I'm hoping it will be ready by the end of the tour." Katsuki heard him huff as he muttered something under his breath.
"Am I that bad Deku? We used to sleep together all the time."
"I was seven Kacchan," Izuku retorted.
"And afraid of the dark, so every time I fucking slept over, you'd want me to sleep in bed with you." Katsuki chuckled. He could see the nerd was pushed up against the wall, "Am I taking too much room?"
"No, no, I'm fine." Izuku let out a long breath. "When you finish the song can I be the first one to hear it at least?"
"Absolutely," Katsuki clicked his tongue, "I wouldn't have it any other way."
Kacchan lying next to him in bed was turning out to be a near death experience as his heart had completely forgotten how to beat. Could he live on just a few heartbeats per minute? His brain gave up, the drag of sleep muddled his thoughts. The blonde was clearly up to something, he was flirting way too much. Izuku sighed, he could only take so much Kacchan in one sitting and he was overdosing at the moment.
The nerd fell quiet, Bakugou could feel him relax deeper into the bed, his breathing started to grow soft and even. Looking over at him, he could see his long lashes fanning his freckled cheeks. Running his finger along his face he stroked his soft skin. "Thanks for helping me, nerd," he whispered, "I promise to make it amazing for you." Picking up the cover, Katsuki pulled it over his head, it was his favorite way to sleep.
