'its raining' thought Senji when he took a break from sharpening one of his older Katanas. The border around camp Halfblood stops anything including weather from entering without permission. This is the second time something unusual has happened concerning the border.
The first was when Percy was attacked by a hellhound after he beat three children of Ares in a fight. Chiron arrived in time and shot it before it could kill Percy, who was being viscously clawed by the beast. Senji arrived to late to see this but he heard it from Charles, who heard it from one of the Aphrodite children, who heard it from one of the Ares campers who were there.
No one knows who summoned it, though I also heard from Charles that Clarisse the head of the Ares cabin thinks Percy did it. thought no one believed Percy would be dumb enough to summon a monster only for it to attack him.
'how long has it been since I've felt the raindrops hit my skin?' thought Senji as he decided to go for a walk in the rain. The demigods were far more fearful then Senji, after all they know this had to have been caused by Zeus. Senji understood this but he also knows that nothing he has done should have made Zeus mad with him, so he goes on without fear.
Demigods from all cabins were out and about, they all thought of an answer about who made Zeus mad. some thought that maybe one of the Olympians stepped out of line, and others thought this was about Percy being the son of Poseidon. Inside the big house Percy was being informed of dreadful news by Chiron.
Zeus's symbol of power was stolen.
"How could that even happen! and why does this concern me" shouted Percy, this was to much of a shock all in one week. first his mom was taken from him, then his dad who ever never met turned out to be Poseidon and now this.
"We so not know how it was stolen, but as for why it concerns you. there is a ancient law that states a god cant steal another gods symbol of power, but it says nothing about demigods." spoke Chiron, the trainer of hero's. the one who has dealt with the idiocy of the gods for the longest.
"Wait, you don't mean he thinks my dad put me up to it!" said a very offended Percy. Percy despite being a tad bit clueless at times is actually pretty smart, he was able to put that together from just one sentence of Chiron's.
"It pains me to say it, but yes Lord Zeus believes you stole his Lighting bolt and is demanding its return by the solace and if that doesn't happen he will go to war with your father" responded Chiron, who even though he is exasperated with Zeus he doesn't fail to show the proper respect.
"what and I supposed to do about this then" said Percy, he was beginning to get used to surprises and is getting batter at understanding the situations he finds himself in.
"I believe it would be best if you were to talk to the oracle, to get a quest. that should at least help you find the right path to start on" wisely spoke Chiron. Percy started to think about his options, then he realized he literally had no choice but to try and find the bolt or everything he knows will get destroyed in such a war.
"the oracle is upstairs" said Chiron, knowing the thoughts going through Percy's head. Chiron wished he could help more, but that's not his role. he trains the demigods and the demigods then go off to fight battles that are not there's. Oh how it pains him every time a demigod doesn't come back from a quest. he can only hope that Percy is different.
Percy returns to the first floor ten minutes later, his face is pale and seems a bit freaked out.
"what did the oracle say Percy?" asked Chiron. the Oracle is actually a skeleton who was once a oracle but was cursed to keep giving prophecy's.
"You shall go west, and face the god who has turned, You shall find what was stolen, and see it safely returned, You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend, And you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end. " recited Percy quietly.
"hm, that doesn't bode well now does well, the only thing we can do now if for you and 2 others for that's the usual amount to go west. I believe that means the underworld, for the gate to there is west of here in Hollywood." said Chiron while rubbing his chin.
"ill take Grover and Annabeth, if they will come." said Percy quickly. He has to take Grover for they are best buds and he heard from her that Annabeth wanted to go on a quest for a long time.
"yes, I'm sure they will do nicely. I will tell them to meet you at Thaila's tree at sunrise in the meantime pack anything you might think you need" said Chiron, who then left to inform the two that they will be accompany Percy.
(the next morning)
"when you say that word they will start flying." stated Luke, who had just given Percy a pair of his fathers shoes. Luke, Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Chiron were all gathered by the tree for the start of the quest.
"well thanks, I guess we got to get going by now" said Percy, as he looked out past the border of Camp Halfblood. the last time he was here his mother was taken from him.
"I hope you aren't going to leave without saying goodbye" said a voice from behind them. they all turned to see who spoke and were pleasantly surprised to see Senji Muramasa walking towards them.
" I'm suprised you deemed this important enough to break your busy schedule Senji." said Annabeth teasingly. She could understand his stance on his work, for she is the same when it come's to things like Agriculture.
"well I needed to make sure that you know that Percy's in charge of this operation and that he was given the quest for a reason" remarked Senji seriously. for Senji of all people knows that fate is a very tricky thing and that no matter what you do you'll always be stuck in its web.
Annabeth was momentarily shocked by how alert Senji was, he usually is only serious about blades but after a moment she nodded at Senji.
Percy and company left soon after and began the search for the lighting bolt. Luke went back to the Hermes cabin for there is always a lot of work there, and Chiron went to the big house.
Senji stayed there looking at the bottom of the tree, there one could find a teenage girl that the tree seemed to grow over. This is Thaila the daughter of Zeus, who Zeus turned into a tree before she was almost killed.
"I can see that there is still more for you to do in this world, you will be released soon" said Senji, as his eyes at that moment saw more then what was at the moment, but rather he saw what was fated to be.
