Severus froze as he felt a familiar magic wrap around him. Draco had run in by himself when the ground shook around them. Without a word he got up and everyone else did the same.
"Harry!" Draco cried out and sprinted out the door. They followed him quickly and Severus felt his heart drop as the building his sweet boy was supposed to be in lay in ruins. There was brick everywhere and people stood around outside. He saw a trio of girl stumble out but didn't see Harry.
"Are Harry and Fleur still in there?" Draco asked and one of the girls looked up. Once she saw Draco, she burst into tears and threw herself at him.
"Oh Heir Malfoy! It was terrifying. We were just trying to talk to them when Harry's magic went out of control." His godson was trying to unsuccessfully shake her off when Harry and Fleur wandered out of the broken building. Sirius was about to call out to them when Harry grabbed the girl by her hair and yanked her off Draco. She fell to the ground and he crouched down beside her.
"I don't like you. If I ever see you sniffing around Draco again, I will dump you in the Swamp. No one will ever find out what happened to you and no one will care enough to try." Harry's voice was cold and hard, his magic still heavy in the air.
"Harry!" Sirius said, shocked. Severus didn't know what was happening but he'd never seen Harry so upset before. He ignored them as he stood up and walked over to the owner.
"Hello ma'am. I'm sorry for the damage. I'm more than happy to pay for it. You can put it under the Potter family and Gringotts will get the paperwork filled out." Severus watched the wailing girl stop as soon as she heard Harry's surname. Her face turned pale along with the other two girls.
"That's not necessarily, young one. I heard what those children said to you. I would have destroyed my store too!" The older lady said as she patted his back. "If anything, I think you let them off lightly! Back in my day, we would've dueled for such words." Sirius looked between his godson and the girls.
"What words ma'am?" Draco spoke up as he went to take Harry's hand. He couldn't believe it when Harry shook Draco off.
"It's nothing." Harry's voice was still stiff and he saw Draco's eyes narrow into slits.
"Fleur, what happened?"
Draco tried to brush off his hurt as Harry refused to look at him. Instead he kept his eyes on Fleur and waited for an explanation.
"'Arry asked Colette to leave because she kept flirting with you and she refused. She then insinuated that 'Arry was lacking and called his scar disfiguring. 'Arry warned her again and she said she was going to "marry the Malfoy Heir and maybe he could stay on the estate as a stable boy". I was about to tear her apart when 'Arry defended himself from such disgusting lies." Draco snapped his head around to look at the girls huddled together.
"You said what to my beloved?" He screamed the last word and lunged forward, determined to finish what his darling started. How dare those little bugs think they had any right to him or to even speak Harry's name! His Mother held him back as his Father spoke rapidly in French to the Delacour's. It seemed the girls had caused trouble for Fleur at school as well. His Father got their names and he called over one of the French Auror's. They spoke back and forth before the man led the girls away.
"He is going to take them home and I will speak with their parents tomorrow." His Father was pacing back and forth as he muttered to himself, his rage clear to see.
"I will be happy to join you. I have experience dealing with their kind." Lady Delacour said, her face twisting in distaste. He couldn't help but notice Mr. Lupin was still being held in Lord Delacour's arms. It was nice to see that their plan was working. He walked over to Harry and murmured "love, please speak to me." He felt everyone step away to give them privacy and Harry finally turned to face him, his face full of anguish.
"I've ruined it. You're going to leave right?"
Harry's magic had always been rather destructive. Before he learned to push it down, he would demolish his cupboard when he got too upset. Of course Aunt Petunia hadn't liked that so he eventually learned to suppress his magic. It led to less punishments and he was free to roam the neighborhood instead of being locked in his cupboard. Dudley was right, he had shown Draco what a freak he was and now he was going to leave.
"And where exactly would I go?" Draco's voice brought him out of his thoughts. He was frowning, his brows drawn together.
"I thought you said you'd go wherever I went? Were you lying?" Harry felt his bottom lip tremble as he said "no! I don't want to leave your side!" Draco grabbed his hand and he didn't push him off.
"Then why do you think I'd leave yours? We're getting married and you can't get rid of me just because you tore down a building!" Draco held his face between his hands and continued "between you and me, I thought it was rather attractive. I've never had anyone rip a store apart for me." He gave him a smirk, his eyes soft as he stared at him. Harry couldn't help leaning forward and kissing him. Draco wasn't going to leave him because of his freaky magic! He actually liked it. He could hear Sirius yelling but he ignored him. Draco was holding him tight and that was all that mattered.
Apolline Delacour had met her husband at the tender age of eleven. When they were old enough to get married, they said their vows as their magic intertwined. After she had her first daughter, she knew Fleur's life wouldn't be easy. Even though her mama's heritage had skipped her, it shone brightly in her eldest daughter. Fleur was every bit as ethereal as her mama was. When she was younger, it was just comments on how pretty she was or how many hearts she would break. Once she turned eleven, her allure had developed and she didn't have enough time to practice controlling it before she had to leave for school. Polly and her husband had watched their precious daughter go with heavy hearts, unable to do anything. Fleur would write to them everyday, begging to come home and they could do nothing. Every magical child in France had to get a formal education. It was to ensure that every child, no matter their background, would receive a chance to go to school. As she followed Lucius Malfoy into the designated meeting room, she couldn't help her anger. These girls had terrorized her daughter for three years and they had not been punished. Because of the lack of action on their parents' part, those same girls had almost ruined a love match between two Noble families. She was eager to see how Lord Malfoy would respond.
"Ah! Hello Lady Delacour, how is your daughter?" Josephine's father asked, already mopping his sweaty brow with a handkerchief.
"That is none of your business, monsieur." She stated coldly as Lord Black dragged his chair out, the feet screeching against the floor.
"Let's cut to the chase shall we? Your little harpies caused my darling godson to have a magical outburst that would have decimated half of the alley if Polly's lovely girl wasn't there to calm him down." Lord Black said casually as if talking about the weather.
"That's nonsense! Your boy almost injured my sweet Colette!" Her father said slowly as he glared at her. Fleur had singed the girl's hair their second year and the fool still blamed her for it.
"That's enough. I called you here to repent, not to plead your case. In this situation, I am the judge and jury. Your children caused harm to mine. If your little brat had caused my sons to break off their courtship, I would have taken your family for every knut you have." Lord Malfoy said, his cold eyes never leaving the other men. They opened their mouths to argue but Lord Malfoy effortlessly cut them off "that is why I will be letting our lawyers take care of it instead of getting my hands dirty." He gave them a nasty grin "it's a shame it will be announced in every wizarding paper. Good luck getting a single marriage proposal after everyone knows you've crossed the Malfoy and Black families." She saw Elise's father faint and couldn't help her wicked smile. She was so happy she had convinced Fleur to go shopping that day. If she hadn't she never would have met their sweet third or found outstanding friends for her daughters. She hummed as she tried to think of the best way for her and Claude to sneak into Remy's room once they got to Britain. She followed Lord Malfoy and Lord Black out of the room, ignoring the men's sputtering behind them.
