Hello readers and welcome to chapter 2! I have a few things to say first.

I am accepting ocs for this story! I'm having a bit of trouble creating original characters for Sam to interact with. I won't be accepting every oc, but I will use some people suggest. There's not really any limits for Ocs, but I will say some may be nerfed or buffed for whatever role their given in story.

COMMENTS!

myfunvideos: It truly is a shame how few good Fairy Tail/Fate stories there are, I mean the good ones are really good but there also a lot of horrible ones.

It's really easy to forget Artoria/Arthur have dragon traits, it's hardly mentioned at all. Dragon Slayers are a good counter to the King of Knights.

Summer Kiara from Aquarius huh? A possibility. Saber Astolfo will lend aid to his fellow femboy! But Virgo is likely for manifesting someone else… Dioscuri for Gemini? I didn't think of that. Nirvana summoning our favourite eldritch horror that is Abigail? LOVE IT!

Mash manifesting to block the Jupiter Cannon? I feel Galahad would be more likely. I can't think of anyone for wind ether, maybe Ushiwakamaru? Not sure exactly. Reedus and its Pict Magic, but the painter Heroic Spirits would be… fun. EMIYA may seem to fit Erza, but EMIYA creates only fakes, so not sure.

Sam doesn't need to fight Makarov for a Heroic Spirit to resonate, just being nearby him when he's using his magic could cause it. Artemis on Galuna island huh? An interesting choice but not sure as I currently I don't think Sam will be going to Galuna.

Perseus12: Thank you.

Digi626: Jeanne in the Phantom Arc huh? We'll see. Atalanta Berserker makes just TOO much sense in Tower of Heaven.

ArguableReader: Thank you! While Sam is defiantly a friend and ally to Fairy Tail, he's not going to join them for everything. I will say he'll join at some point, but even then he'll only be involved in certain arcs and have his own adventures.

As for relationships? I haven't decided on that yet. When doing relationships I prefer to let it flow naturally in most cases, so there may not even be a relationship at all. If I do a relationship, THEY WILL NOT JUST BECOME SAM'S CHEER-SQUAD! I hate when a strong independent female becomes a damsel just for the hero to rescue, it's an absolute insult to them. So yes, if romance does happen don't expect the girl to suddenly become USLESS!

The Heroic Spirits are, unique. As I understand it, there are a few things that give a Heroic Spirit power. 1: The strength they attained in life, 2: How much magic/mana they get from their power, 3: Fame, the more well known the legend the greater the strength, and finally 4: Territory, for example Medea in stronger in Greece.

So any Heroic Spirits Sam summons will be relying on 1 and 2. However the more famous Sam becomes and in turn his Heroic Spirits become, the more strength they'll attain there as well.

Transforming into Heroic Spirits also weakens their power, and while Sam gets some of their fighting abilities it's only a fraction compared to what someone like Arthur would possess. He already has the Noble Phantasms, but those require an insane amount of magic, and the more conceptual Noble Phantasms would be weakened as hell.

I did consider having Sam just join Fairy Tail for a while, but why limit myself? He can become friends with Fairy Tail for sure, but I don't want him to just join it so early. In the future yes, but right now that's a no.

As for the Celestial Spirits noticing, perhaps once he meets Lucy they may notice "Hey, these guys are some type of Spirit as well!". Them noticing Sam's otherworldliness? Probably not, Mystogan is more likely to notice as he both has experience with different worlds and detecting dimensional things.

As for the 'canon' history, I've never read the manga so I'm going with the anime story. I do plan to change a few things, especially the Eclipse Celestial Spirits but you'll have to wait for my plans there.

Dragon King of the West: Archer Gilgamesh may show up, but not for a while as he is absolutely busted.

I had been in this world for a week now, and had managed to learn a few things. Apparently it WAS possible to do quests without being a part of a guild, I just needed to get things officially checked with a guild, which you can assume most guild's won't like or accept, thankfully Fairy Tail was completely okay with me taking their quests. They got so many that it didn't really affect them.

I had interacted with the guild a few more times, at this point a few of them had realized I was trying to avoid becoming attached and instead of pushing them away, it just made them more determined to try befriend me. I didn't want to make friends here, this world was fun yea but I had people I needed to return to, friendship would just make it harder to leave.

I know realistically, I'd probably end up bonding with people, I was someone who enjoyed interacting with people and I couldn't change my ways so easily. But if I could put it off, I could lessen the pain from when we'd separate eventually.

But of course, I needed a place to stay. I had managed to afford a small 3 room house, it had a bathroom, a bedroom and a kitchen living room combo, that was about it. It was a simple base, but considering it was dirt cheap and just me staying here? It was perfect.

But today I was going to do something I needed to do for a while, actually summon my Servants and interact with them. I have no idea if they've been in the Flipside this entire time or will only go there once they've been summoned.

I wasn't Ritsuka who was able to charm and ally with tons of Servants, I didn't have that charisma. So I'd be relying completely on the Servants moral compass and hope.

I was luckily blessed with some good natured Servant, or at least those who'd listen to me. With some glaring exceptions. Oda Nobunaga was considered a joke, but she was dangerous and it had been confirmed if her master was anyone but Ritsuka, she'd have betrayed them. Sima Yi or Reines El-Melloi, a magus of the Clocktower and very dangerous. Jekyll would usually be safe, but Hyde was very much not so. Kriemhild was a Berserker so she was automatically dangerous, and from what I've heard she isn't the kindest to her master.

So I'd be dealing with some dangerous personalities, especially since we're not in a Holy Grail War or anything that'd automatically force them to work with me. I have no command spells, nothing to stop them if they decide to rampage. So I'll just have to hope, hope this all turns out okay.

Who was the safest to summon first, Arthur without a doubt. The King of Knights was as honourable and kind as they came. Nagao was next and then Cu. I'd have 3 trust worthy Servants so if things went wrong, I had a safety net.

No more excuses or wasting time, it's time to begin this.

"Servant Saber: Arthur Pendragon!". I said aloud, a golden magical circle forming on the ground, and from it emerged the King of Knights, Arthur Pendragon. He looked confused for a few seconds before his eyes widen and he smiled at me with relief, wait what? This wasn't his usual summoning, he even had his hood down.

"Master! Thank god, we've been looking for you!". Arthur's words caused me to freeze, what? But we've never met before, how the hell is he recognizing me!? I was about reply we've never met and he was confusing me for something else, but suddenly my head was filled with pain and my vision blurred.

"I am Saber. A Servant who protects you and the world". My new Servant greeted me, I couldn't see much of his face because of his hood, but he seemed kind. His armour seemed familiar as well, and his… weird wind sword, DID I SUMMON A MALE ARTORIA!? I mean, King Arthur? I REALLY wanted to ask him, but he hadn't introduced his identity yet and I don't want to be rude.

"Nice to meet you, I'm your Master, Sam Parison. Can I know your name please?". I introduced myself and asked for his name, while I suspected his identity it was up to him whether he told me or not. I've had plenty of Servants who've refused to tell me their identity at first.

"Forgive me master, but I believe it's best to keep my identity secret for now. But know whatever comes your way, my strength shall be yours". Saber's words were simple but carried a promise of strength behind them, I smiled at him and began leading Saber to the cafeteria to meet other Servants. It need not be said how quickly his identity was revealed and the shocked faces of the Round Table were awesome.

"…ter… Master! Wake up Master!". The worried voice was painful to my head, blinking my eyes rapidly I looked around. I was currently laying against a tree in the forest with a concerned Arthur looking over me.

"Arthur…?". I asked confused, and then memories came flooding back to me. I had summoned Arthur using a spell, and he had known me? And then memories of… Chaldea, but I wasn't Ritsuka, nor was I using a copy of his body like some self-insert. How the hell did I have memories of Chaldea?

"Are you okay master?". Arthur's concerned voice felt so familiar, but I needed to settle his worries quickly.

"Just a headache, what just happened?". I asked, hoping the knight could give me an answer, or many answers with the many questions I had for what's going on.

"I was hoping you could tell me, you've been missing for 2 months now. While it's a relief to be with you again, we need to get in contact with Chaldea as fast as possible". Arthur said, did he really think I was Ritsuka? No in my memory I introduced myself with my name, so did I replace Ritsuka? Or maybe merge with him? Gah I had no idea!

"I would, but things are a bit more complicated. I know about Chaldea but I've lost a lot of memories, and it's probably an Outer God to blame. Hell I didn't even remember KNOWING you till I summoned you! And I know about Mash, Da Vinci, and everyone else, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER INTERACTING WITH THEM AT ALL!". I started out calm, but as I got further in I got more and more frustrated.

I didn't want to be in this world, I wasn't a brave hero and had just been running around having fun essentially. But I missed my family and friends, living a fantasy adventure wasn't worth abandoning them. And now to discover something going on with Chaldea as well? I was understandably frustrated.

"Master, calm down. I understand you're frustrated and confused, but we need to be calm to figure this out". Arthur comforted me, helping me to my feet. "Take a few deep breaths, breath. In and out". In and out, in and out.

"Thanks I, I needed that. Things haven't been that okay mentally". Psychically I was 100% okay, but I hadn't realized the mental build-up of stress. I know how terrifying the Fairy Tail world was behind all the friendship and magic. Demons, dragons and Zeref, each of them was devastating as they were powerful. And then discovering that something was also going on with Chaldea related to me, it wasn't good for my mental state.

"Master, do you have a place to stay? I think it's best for you to rest for a bit, your mana is getting low". Arthur asked, I nodded and began leading him to my small house. It was small, but there was enough room for a few people. I had some food here, mainly snacks and quick to cook meals. After eating I felt better and began explaining Earthland to Arthur.

I think we both know discussing Chaldea was a bad idea right now, so he never brought the topic up. Arthur did say his body felt different, still a Servant but composed of this worlds Magic instead of mana. I was concerned him fighting would cost a huge amount of magic, until he informed me I had actually been down for a while and that's why I was so drained.

Just having Arthur manifested didn't cost a huge amount of magic, but him fighting full power would drain me incredibly quickly. But he could likely fight at a lower level without draining me too much. His Noble Phantasm was likely only able to be used once and that'd put us completely out of the fight, Excalibur required massive amounts of mana to be used.

I also informed Arthur of what 'The Gentleman' had told me of how my magic worked, and how when he wasn't manifested he'd be somewhere called the Flipside.

"I see, Master it may be wise for me to go to this… Flipside and for you to summon the other Servants you can summon right now. While I'm not sure what's going on at Chaldea right now, having more Servants with us may allow them to find us". Arthur's explanation made sense, and with a nod in a burst of sparkles he went to the Flipside.

The next hour involved a lot of headaches and even some near crying in one case, along with some memories of Chaldea.

"I Am Nagao Kagetora, the avatar of the Touhachi Bishamonten!".

"Sam! Thank the heavens, what's happened? How did you get here?".

"I am the Demon Archer Nobunaga, the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven!".

"Sam! How dare you disappear on me you… IDIOT! I, the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven demand repentance for this!".

"Oops! I guess this time I am materialized as a Caster? Oh, it's you guys! We met before right?".

"So new world, new adventure, strong people to fight. Sounds like a great vacation Master!".

"Well actually, I'm a Pseudo-Servant using Reines El-Melloi Archisorte. There's no need for you to worry, I've inherited all of Sima Yi's powers. Call me Reines, Sima Yi, or even Zhongda…".

"I see, an entire different world. I suppose if you had no choice, I can forgive you missing teatime, but next time I'll be quiet disappointed if you disappear again, understood?".

"My name is Jekyll, I am… different from Hyde".

"It's a relief to see you again Sam, while I don't fully understand the situation, I am here for whatever you may need".

"Servant, Kriemhild. I've come… I have come in answer to your summons… what do you wish from an off-season flower such as me? No matter if you are enemy or ally, ruin is the only thing I dribble. If you want to die gruesomely, feel free to do so…".

"Hello Master… is Siegfried here? I see, some time without him would be… no, it doesn't matter".

After a LOT of talking, I had interacted with every Servant I currently had access to and been left with an unbelievable painful headache. I didn't get knocked out like with Arthur, but it is concerning how much I'm getting used to having headaches.

Exhausted and seeing the sky darkening outside, it was time for bed. I didn't have many changes of clothes, so I just took of my cloak and shoes and went to sleep.

The next morning

I had been awake for a few hours now, and after some breakfast had decided to train in the forest. I had tested to see if I could manifest a Servant and transform into them at the same type, but we quickly discovered this didn't work when I tried it with Jekyll. I could only transform into a Servant if they weren't summoned.

I needed more Jewels, I had a house but needed to pay for it as well as clothes, food and everything else. So that means, it's mission time.

I went to the Fairy Tail guild hall, which was thankfully rather empty besides Makarov and a few people I didn't know the names of.

"Oh? Morning Sam, you're looking well". Makarov greeted with a smile. "You're here for a mission?".

"Yea, figured I need to get more than one outfit and those aren't cheap". I replied, looking at the mission board. "Any suggestions?". It was always a good idea to ask Makarov about missions, I was without a team and defiantly not an S-Class mage, so some missions were just too dangerous for me.

"Hmm, you know we got a new mission that I think is perfect for you. It's for dealing with a dangerous beast in a village, it's rather resistant to magic so psychical weapons are best". Makarov explained, huh, seems built for me.

"I'll take it, what's the village called?". I asked.

"Kakaro Village". Makarov explained.

Not as big as last chapter, but that was because I wanted a big prologue. But we have our first arc and it's an original one!

What's the name of that arc? It's called…

"Shadow of the Beast".

I'll see you next chapter!
