Soon the Fenton's arrived at the airport. After a few minutes they found a middle aged man and a young boy. The boy looked no older than nine or ten years old and had a noticeable resemblance to Danny. Like Danny, he had short black hair and blue eyes, but his hair was hidden under a blue beanie with red stitching and a red poofball on top. He had on a brown jacket and blue jeans. The man had blue eyes and jet black hair just like the two boys, but his hair was a shaggy mop styled in a 1970's curtain style, and his moustache was also reminiscent of the 70's. He had on a bright blue dress shirt with a white under shirt and blue jeans. Both of them had bags full of luggage.
"Randy, hey, good to see you!" Jack greeted. "Hey, Jack. Maddie." The man said, sounding despondent. He hugged both of them. "Thanks for letting me stay with you." he said. "It's no trouble at all, Randy. You're family." Maddie told him.
"Hey, Danny." The boy said with a small smile. It was clear he was happy to see Danny but not happy about his current situation. "Hey, Stan. It's been a while." Danny said, hugging the boy. "Yeah, it has. It's good to see you." Stan said. "Yeah, you too. Sorry it's not under better circumstances." Danny said. Stan sighed. "Yeah, me too." he said.
A few minutes later, the Fenton's and the Marsh's arrived at the Fenton house. They took trips from the Fenton RV taking Randy and Stan's belongings inside. Jack and Maddie helped Randy get settled into the guest room in the basement. "Yep. Barren. Just like my heart." Randy stated glumly. "Ah, don't worry, Randy. It can only get better from here on out." Jack said, trying to cheer him up. "I don't know, Jack." Randy said sadly.
Meanwhile, Danny helped Stan get settled into his room. "So when's Jazz coming home?" Stan asked. "Christmas Eve." Danny said. He pulled out a purple sleeping bag from his closet. "Here, you take the bed, and I'll sleep down here." He said, laying the sleeping bag on the ground. "But isn't that your bed?" Stan asked. "Ah, don't worry about it, kid. You can have it." Danny told him. "Thanks." Stan said. "No problem. Sorry about your parents." Danny said.
"It's alright. I kinda saw it coming. I just didn't see us moving down here coming." Stan said. "Me neither. Plus I thought for sure if it came to a divorce you'd stay with your mom." Danny said. "I was going to, but Shelley refused to go with Dad, and I didn't want him to be alone so I went with him. If he stayed at South Park with Shelley and my mom came up here, I'd be so much happier. Not that I'm not happy to see you." Stan said.
"No, no, I get it. So you don't miss South Park?" Danny asked. "Nah. I hate that hick ass town. It's full of assholes and retards. The only people I miss are Kyle, Kenny, my mom and Shelley... sort of." Stan said. Danny laughed a little at Stan's description of South Park, as well as that "sort of" at the end - Shelley was pretty mean to him, always beating him up and calling him a turd, so Danny understood.
"What about your evil friend?" Danny asked. "Cartman? He's dead. They had to give him the death penalty. He's actually the youngest person to receive the death penalty, because he's committed just about every crime you can think of. His own mother doesn't even miss him all that much." Stan said. "Huh." Danny said. "But hey, I am glad to see you again. Maybe it'll be like old times." Stan said. Danny began to smile. "Yeah, maybe you're right." he said.
Danny then felt his phone buzz and noticed a text from Sabrina that read:
"Hey. :) I explained your situation to my aunt's and they're totally fine with Stan tagging along tomorrow."
Danny texted back:
"Awesome! I'll ask my parents if I can still go, hopefully I can. I'll let you know"
He then put his phone back in his pocket. "Hey Stan, I was gonna go inner tubing with my friend Sabrina and her aunts tomorrow. I let her know what's going on and she and her aunts are cool with you tagging along. I'm gonna ask my mom if I'm still able to." He explained. "That'd be cool." Stan smiled. "Yeah, she actually lives just across the street, I'd love for you to meet her. She just moved in a month ago. I think you'd like her." Danny said.
With that, he went into the living room to ask Maddie. "Hey mom, am I still able to go inner tubing with Sabrina and her aunts tomorrow? She asked her aunts if Stan could come with us so that he doesn't feel left out and they're totally on board." he asked. "Sorry, sweetie, but I'm afraid we're gonna need to spend at least the next couple days together as a family. Your Uncle Randy is in a pretty bad place right now and could use all of the support he can get." Maddie said. "Alright." Danny sighed. He texted Sabrina back:
"I can't come, my mom wants us to spend the next couple days together as a family. :( Sorry. This sucks"
She quickly texted him back:
"Okay, I understand. Sorry you guys aren't able to. :(
"It's pretty stupid. I mean, I feel bad for my Uncle Randy but it's his own fault he's in a position like this. I don't get why me and Stan have to be punished for it."
"It's so not fair, inner tubing won't be as much fun without you guys."
Danny then went to tell Stan the bad news. "We can't go inner tubing tomorrow, my mom says we need to spend time together as a family because your dad is so bummed out." he explained. "God, this sucks! It's his own fault this is happening, why are we being punished for it?" Stan asked. "I just said the same thing to Sabrina!" Danny agreed. The two were now almost as glum as Randy.
After an awkward and sullen family dinner, Maddie wanted to figure out a way to get her brother out of this funk. She figured a good night sleep would help all of them be in better moods, it'd be a start, at least. She figured maybe Jack could try and bond with Randy which would help. She talked to him about it the next morning.
"I don't know what to do, Jack. Randy's really broken up by this." Maddie said. "Oh sweetheart, you know I love your brother, but what can we do?" Jack asked. "We have to at least do something, honey. We can't let him live like this. We need to help him get out of this funk. Can you talk to him? Maybe you can find a way to bond." Maddie asked. "I'll give it a try." he said. "Thanks, honey." Maddie said.
Jack went into the guest bedroom to find Randy awake and sitting on his bed, sulking. "Hey, buddy." Jack said. "Hey, Jack." Randy said sadly. "Are you feeling okay?" Jack asked. Randy sighed. "I don't know, Jack. I think it'll be a while until I'm okay. Sharon says she can't tolerate me anymore. She says I have a drinking problem." Randy said.
Jack just got an idea. "What if the problem is, that you haven't been drinking enough?" Jack asked. "You really think so?" Randy asked. "Sure. Tell you what, I'm gonna run to the liquor store to get us any liquor we can get. Beer, wine, scotch, rum... the whole nine yards." Jack offered. "You'd do that?" Randy asked. Jack nodded. "Oh God." Maddie said, overhearing the terrible idea.
Jack left and came back with four crates of liquor. Soon they were so drunk they ran around in their underwear, jumping off Randy's bed saying "I'm Superman!" This woke Danny and Stan up. "Oh Jesus." They both said in unison, pinching the bridges of their noses in frustration. Maddie then opened their door. "Danny, Stan, I've changed my mind. Tell you what, you guys can go inner tubing with the Spellman's. Just please leave the house when they get like this." Maddie told them.
Danny and Stan looked at one another and grinned. "The one time our dad's being idiots is a good thing." Stan said. The two got ready to go to the Spellman's house.
A/N: The reason I killed off Cartman is because I feel like if Stan left town, Kyle probably would have killed him eventually, plus it makes the story a little more plausible if he's put to death given all of the evil things he did (that being said, I like Cartman).
