Hours have passed as the medical team works on treating Luke's injuries as well as doing full medical examinations on him. Many of the team are amazed at what they find. The person laying on the medical bed should truly not be alive. Not just from the fact that he had lost a large amount of blood recently but from many other injuries that could be deduced.

He has recent scarring all over his body resembling claw marks. Clear signs of near hypothermia and frostbite. The scratches, hypothermia, and frostbite were not properly or completely treated. There are also the signs of multiple broken bones that were never properly treated. None of these are the reason the whole medical team is amazed at the fact that the young male before them is alive.

With the team's examinations, they came upon a shocking discovery. He was born 1 month prematurely, for seemingly horrible reasons. Most babies even when born prematurely are not born from external circumstances. Even babies born prematurely from stress do not experience the things seen in this young man. They all believed the medical scans to be wrong at first but after they ran them 3 more times and checked 2 times themselves they could not deny what had been found. The only reason this has been seen in people is from when they were gravely injured still in the womb, tending to result in premature birth. Most of the babies born that way don't make it past infancy, some only living a few hours. The lucky few who make it past infancy tend not to survive long, the oldest before now being 10 years old.

The person in front of the medical team is not only a medical mystery but a medical miracle. The signs of his birth are near impossible to see and yet they exist. He should not be alive, and yet he is.

The head doctor rushes to tell Lord Vader of the discovery. Not expecting the tall dark figure to be in the same spot that he was the last time.

"Lord Vader," The doctor says, attempting to get his attention.

"What is it doctor," Vader says to acknowledge the medical professional. His tone sounding off and unidentifiable.

"We have yet to conclude all of our examinations, but we have come across some information you might find interesting." The doctor's voice fails as voice cracks litter the sentence. The doctor clears their throat and proceeds, "we have found recent scar tissue throughout his body. As I am sure you saw on his face. It appears very recent, within the last month at most. It was poorly treated, and may not have been treated properly at all. There are clear signs of past hypothermia and frostbite that appears to have happened around the same time as the scars. It appears that these were also not treated correctly. He also seems to have broken multiple bones, ranging in time. From a couple of months ago to when he was just a young child. Most if not all were not treated properly, possibly not treated at all." The doctor pauses and takes a deep breath. "There is more Lord Vader, but perhaps you should read it yourself. By all accounts, the person in there is a medical mystery, a medical miracle! It is outstanding that he is even alive. All signs say that he should have died a long time ago." The doctor looks away from Vader and into the room their patient is in. They walk forward and place a datapad on a table, "I have all of the information we have gathered so far on this datapad, including all of the treatments the boy has received. I will return later once I have more information, for now, I am rejoining my team to continue treating my patient." The doctor turns and walks away to join their team. They walk through the doors to the medical room and let out a breath they didn't know they had been holding since they had walked away from Vader. Brushing that off, they walk back to the team and go back to work.

Vader reads the information on the datapad clenching his first. The thought that his son did not retrieve proper medical care for his past injuries makes him fill with anger. Reading on, he sees what the doctor meant by saying that Luke should have died years ago.

Anger fills him once more, anger at himself. He is the reason that his son should not be alive. He is the reason because of what he did to her.

Pain and guilt fill him now. He did this, he is the reason she is now dead. He is the reason that the child in front of him is slowly slipping away into the Force. He realizes that his son is dying, ever so slowly. He may never have even met the boy or found out that this child existed.

Fear and worry soon come upon Vader as well. Will his son survive this? Will he ever get to know the boy? The boy may have diminished symptoms at this point, but they still exist. Will he have to get through the death of his son once more? He can't think of those possibilities now, he needs to focus on his son.

Vader now realizes that he has been blocking everything out. Only focusing on the information on the datapad. He looks up through the window, observing his son. All of the sudden, doctors start scrambling. His son is dying. He can feel the boy's life force slipping away into the Force.

Against his better wishes, he does the one thing he can think of. He sends an outpouring of love to the boy. The love he has had for the boy since he discovered that his late wife was pregnant. Love, he had only shown to her. For the first time in what seems like forever the part Vader had kept hidden away inside himself returned. Anakin Skywalker returned to tell his son how much love he has for the boy.

Vader then feels the boy's life return. Luke is alive, his son is alive. Vader then feels true happiness, happiness he has not felt in years. His son is still alive. All of the emotions Vader is feeling raging like a storm in his head.

Luke becomes aware of his surroundings in the same way once more. He feels cold, not physically but mentally. As if a dark cloud is surrounding him, in an almost protective manner. He reaches out with the Force to locate where this shroud of darkness is coming from and finds many emotions, anger, pain, guilt, fear, worry, but most surprisingly love and happiness. It was his father who was responsible for the darkness currently surrounding him, trying to protect him. Once more, Luke becomes completely unconscious.
