Last Chapter…
Everyone had seated themselves by this point. Mr. Goodshow spoke after clearing his throat and turned to face Ash. "Please excuse me if I seemed unclear, but who are you exactly? I don't think I've ever seen you before..."
Everyone remained silent as they waited for Ash to speak. He spoke after a brief pause. "I want to express my gratitude to you all for your kindness today. Please excuse my tardiness in introducing myself; my name is Red." There was a flurry of gasps in response to that sentence. Leon had an arched brow, while Cynthia appeared as if nothing had changed at all. Iris and Lillie both had surprised expressions on their faces as they observed Diantha, who had slightly enlarged her eyes in surprise.
But Mr. Goodshow was the only one who had a voice. "So, you're the Kanto champion, huh? Would you mind explaining to me why you chose to skip out on more than a dozen meetings given that Cynthia here has rescued your behind on numerous occasions? the ones that are required, you know?" Red made a low sound. "Not really," said the speaker. Everyone there began to perspire. Sighing, Mr. Goodshow. "You certainly have our attention now. What made you decide to attend this particular meeting, specifically?"
Red grinned slightly. "Well, that should be clear. The location of the half-decade tournament will be decided at this meeting, and whether I was present or not, I had grounds to think that the committee will choose to send the tournament to Kanto." The champions were so taken aback by Red's knowledge that they remained silent. However, Mr. Goodshow did have a comment to make.
"Yes, Mr. Red, you are right. The competition—"
"Please. Red is great; Mr. Red makes me seem cynical." Red said in jest. Misty and Steven laughed at that, as the women looked on with interest. Mr. Goodshow was unable to contain his smile. "It is, Red. Your presumptions are accurate Red; the tournament is taking place in Kanto, at a city and stadium that was recently developed a lot." But Red didn't appear to think it was all that great. "You seem to have made up your mind already,"
Nodding, Goodshow " The reason is because we have."
That caused Ash's eyes to slightly widen. He peered around the table and noticed that no one was making a sound. So without him, they had already made up their minds. Cynthia's tone contained a very faint undertone of sarcasm. "You should anticipate that from someone who has managed to miss every meeting, though I'm not sure why that would be seen negatively." To Cynthia, Mr. Goodshow turned. What does that mean, exactly? Cynthia grinned slightly.
"Ah, absolutely nothing. If it's okay with you, Mr. Goodshow, I'll fill in Ghost in a private setting."
Ash and Cynthia were shocked to learn that Mr. Goodshow wasn't being as forgiving as they had anticipated. "Cynthia, I don't believe that. I am aware that you have repeatedly given the child your endorsement, and I respect your choice. He has obviously got a lot of power. Even out here, word spread of the opportunity to become a Champion in a more recent territory. That received a lot of attention from people all over the world. He deserves to be here because you are standing by him; else, you wouldn't be doing this."
To get a better look at Ash, Mr. Goodshow got up and strolled straight alongside him. The other champions and Cynthia were all keeping a close eye on them with some degree of interest. Mr. Goodshow focused on his clothes: The red vest with a zip, the black arm brace, the red and white Pokémon hat, the grey slacks, and the grey shoes. He became aware of the Z ring and the necklace that were both wrapped around his lower throat. His brown eyes stood out more than his brown hair, which was hardly noticeable at all. It was a bit unusual, but Mr. Goodshow couldn't recall the last time he had seen...
He dismissed the idea. It was absurd since it He resumed his initial line of thought.
"I am well aware of your motivation for coming today, Red, and I am also aware of your lack of attendance at previous sessions." Red answered stoically. "So it is? Educate me." But on the inside, Ash hoped that the elderly man—whom He secretly genuinely admired for performing so well—wasn't telling the truth.
Goodshow made a statement. "You definitely decided not to attend any meetings,"
Ash held his breath while remaining silent. "...since your damned city wasn't finished." Ash wheezed quietly, releasing the air he had been holding in silence.
Mr. Goodshow started ranting. "I couldn't believe how gorgeous the city looked until your designer Wattson recently sent me the final images. It was elegant! Astounding! Totally and completely wonderful! He promised me that it would be ready in time for the tournament, and I was already set to hold the event in Unova when he made that promise." Ash's eyes widened slightly as he spoke, and Goodshow spoke fast. "Be at ease, though! I predicted that your designer would be successful, and just in time—one month before the tournament begins!"
Ash wished He had known that Wattson had guaranteed Mr. Goodshow that ALT would be finished prior to the competition, but He was fortunately restrained enough not to obsess about the past. It was better to consider the future. Ash realised He had been slightly daydreaming, but was stopped in his tracks. When He noticed that everyone was staring at him with anticipation, He understood why. Ash spoke softly while Mr. Goodshow grinned.
"You're right, Mr. Goodshow," I said. Mister Goodshow chuckled. , "I knew it!"
"But I'm afraid you're not fully right. You see, I was in fact oblivious to the development of the Pokémon League, the creation of Indigo Plateau, and the recurring Kanto Battle competition. I was kept occupied by it, but the people of Indigo Plateau kept me busier than anything else." Now that Ash had spoken, everyone was paying close attention to what He had to say.
The young champion was still being heard by everyone. "Kanto is home to a group known as Team Rocket. They are douchebags of class "C." Compared to Skull, Galactic, Plasma, and the like, they are less well-organized, less clever, less ambitious, and less hell-bent on capturing strong Pokémon like 're just a nuisance that tries to show dominance when all they're really saying is how foolish they are."
Iris and Misty roared with amusement at Red's interpretation of the situation. Diantha covered her mouth to conceal a laugh as Cynthia rolled her eyes. Simply chuckling, Steven shook his head. Goodshow didn't say anything on hearing.
He said, much to the attention of the champions and Mr. Goodshow, "Basically, they decided it'd be smart to try and steal your basic stuff from the local street vendors in Indigo Plateau, so it's my job as Kanto's leader to protect my people with every fibre of my being, and for that much, I swear I will do till my dying breath."
Mr. Goodshow spoke subtly. "Presented in a champion-like manner. I appreciate everything you've done to serve your honourable nation. In spite of the fact that it is your responsibility to safeguard your citizens, you have never attended a single meeting." Ash remained silent while Mr. Goodshow sighed while speaking. "Very well Since you can make up for it by ensuring that everyone loves the competition and Indigo Plateau, I think it's in the past now. After all, you need to make a good impression on a lot of people, including myself, with the city."
Ash was walking around in Indigo Plateau, the place where he first competed for the Champion title but he lost. He managed to get the Champion title in Orange Islands, Alola but the world thought he was dead and so he no longer had those titles. However, he soon became Kanto Champion but as Red.
Ash saw that the people were happily walking. Ash wiHed he could happily walk but usually he would think about the betrayal and become sad. What he never got was why did they betray him and try to kill him other than being jealous and feeling Ash being gone would be better for their careers. Even then it made no sense for many of them to betray him.
Ash felt lonely as he had almost no one close to him other than Steven, Cynthia, and Misty. Ash then walked and he then saw a girl running rapidly to him and saw that it was a fountain. Ash identified the girl as Bianca but he was puHed by her into the fountain.
Bianca said "Sorry!"
Ash then replied "My clothes are wet, I guess I should go and get them dried. Anyways, I accept your sorry."
Bianca then went away and Ash walked in the direction of the Pokemon League. Ash noticed that Indigo Plateau was very developed compared to when he was competing for the Champion title. Ash walked for some time and then Ash reached the Pokemon League building. The building door soon opened and Misty was present.
Misty asked "Was that Bianca who did this?"
Ash smiled and nodded "Yes, it was her."
Misty replied "We need to get your clothes dried. Come rapidly with me!"
Ash and Misty walked rapidly and reached the Champion's quarters. Ash then went to the cupboard and took new clothes. Ash then went to the washroom, entered the washroom, and soon changed his clothes. Ash then left the washroom and gave his clothes to Misty. Misty pressed a button while Ash hid and the laundry attendant came. The laundry attendant took the clothes and went. Ash then soon came from hiding and then Ash and Misty went to sit on the couch. Ash and Misty were happy to be with each other and sat quietly for some time. The bell soon rang and then Misty got a call.
"Miss, Cynthia has arrived, would you allow her to enter?"
"Fine, He can enter."
Ash and Misty then sat and in some time Cynthia came to Misty and He saw Ash.
Cynthia said "Ash and Misty, it is nice to visit you!" Ash said "Yes, I am happy to see that you are doing good." Misty said "Welcome Cynthia! I hope you find this place to be nice. You can sit on the chair." Cynthia then went and sat on a chair. Cynthia asked "When do you plan to reveal yourselves to the world? I am just curious."
Ash replied "One day, we would reveal ourselves. That coud be after the tournament."
Trip was battling Iris in an unofficial match and Trip was down to just his starter, Serperior while Iris' Dragonite managed to sweep his team with a single move, Dragon Pulse. Alder was being the referee of the match. Trip's Serperior was able to avoid being hit by Dragon Pulse many times while still being hit by Dragon Pulse causing Serperior to lose health.
"Serperior, Leaf Storm!"
"Dragonite, Dragon Pulse!"
The two attacks hit and Dragon Pulse pushed back against Leaf Storm and hit Serperior causing Serperior to faint.
Alder said "Serperior fainted so Iris wins the match!"
Iris then said "Once a loser, always a loser, you Trip with your other losers Stephan and Georgia could never manage to defeat me! Trainers like you should retire from training Pokemons. I would ask to train your Pokemons but seeing how pathetic you are, your Pokemons also would be pathetic so I do not want them!"
Stephan said "You are spitting on Ash's legasy by being so crude and undisciplined."
Iris smirked "What can you do to discipline me? Nothing!"
Alder said "You are too boastful! Listen to your elders for once!"
Iris laughed loud on hearing that "You failure of a former Champion, you are also a pathetic loser. I see that is why you menttor other losers like Trip, Stephan, and Georgia. I am free to destroy your teams whenever I want to get fun by telling you all about your true value." Alder was sad due to Iris insulting him.
Georgia was fuming a lot over hearing Iris insult them. Georgia walked rapidly and then she slapped Iris hard. Iris then fell on the ground and Georgia went rapidly away. Trip knew that Iris will be angry at them over Georgia doing such a thing but he would still support her. Stephan also felt like supporting Georgia.
Iris yelled "How dare you do such a thing, you losers! I have no evidence to arrest you all but I will make sure to deal with you all."
Trip smirked and said "Yes, you have no evidence and I know you will try to take measures to make sure such a thing does not happen and we will also take measures to reveal our displeasure at you in ways such that we do not get arrested by the law enforcement."
Stephan said "We will support Georgia no matter what. You are a terrible Champion who insults her opponents even after defeating them which is not the proper conduct. If you do such things, yu will ace reprecussions like Georgia slapping you and even other worser things."
Alder said "I do not usually pprove of violence but you deserve that for how you behave. Thi slap was the consequence of your actions. No matter how strong you are, you will face the consequences to whatever you do one day. Be a better person and do not insult opponents."
Iris walked away and said "I spent enough time with you losers! Bye!"
Trip said to Georgia "Do not feel sad over slapping Iris. She deserved that for her actions."
Stephan said "I also support you. Iris deserved that slap."
Alder also said "I norrmally do not support violence but Iris was too much of a problem and so she deserved the slap."
Georgia smiled on hearing that from Trip and Stephan "Thank You, Trip, Stephan, and Alder!"
Lillie, Kiawe, Lana, Sophocles, and Mallow were sitting in the Pokemon League building on Mount Lanakika. They knew they were extremely strong and were felt ready for the tournament that would soon took place. For now, they were resting after having matches with each other to train themselves.
Lillie said "I feel that we did the right thing by betraying Ash. Ash had to go for our carrers to bloom."
Kiawe nodded "He was a friend of mine but still, he had to go away from the world for ourselves to be the Elite Four and the Champion. An outsider like Ash cannot be the Champion of Alola. Obviously he would have opposed such a law so we had to make him go from this world."
Mallow said "Sometimes, I feel a little sad that we did such a thing like betraying Ash to get our titles as a voice in my head says that I did a very wrong thing and I must atone for my sin of supporting the act of killing Ash and Misty. Some people would call that a conscience but I do not know how my concsients still persistes and haunts me."
Sophocles then said to support Mallow "Yes, conscience is a very terrible thing. I understand that you say such a thing and some cannot handle such a thing. All you did was demoralize Ash. It was Dawn and Serena who ultimately killed Ash, so tell that to your conscience."
Lillie then asked "Is there some way to get rid of conscience, Sophocles as it is such a terrible thing for us? Conscience is indeed a terrible problem."
Sophocles answered "We need to be pscychopaths or sociopaths to get rd of such a thing. Unfortunately I never did a research to get rid of consciene as I did not feel like there was a need for that. But I know Mallow is facing problems due to her conscience so something needs to be done. For now, Mallow needs to justify that it was Dawn and Serena who killed Ash and she did not personally kill Ash and Misty."
Kiawe said to all "I sometimes feel like Ash was practically an Alolan in the way he behaved. Alola was like his second home and he was good to Alola. But ultimately, his origin was not Alola and his origin was Kanto. Due to that, it feels reasonable that Ash should not be the Alolan Champion."
Lillie then said "How many of us could be psychopaths and sociopaths? Such a person could only support killing Ash easily."
Lana answered "I doubt any of us would be a psychopath or a sociopath. We can only cope with our conscience. Ultimately, only Dawn and Serena are to blame for the death of Ash and Brock is to blame for the death of Misty. Misty was my friend and even I also feel a little sad someimes for her death."
Lillie then said "Alright, we have had enough rest and dwelling over the death of Ash and Misty. We would go and make our Pokemons to become stronger. We need to be stronger than Red who seems to be very mysterious and would in fact be a very strong trainer."
Present… Third Floor
On the floor, everyone was dancing. The backyard was the outside space, while the first floor was largely used for relaxed gathering. The second floor featured a variety of games, including Pokémon pool, darts, a miniature baseball field (which absolutely caught the elites and visitors off guard), and other games. The dance floor was on the third story, obviously. The battlefield was on the fourth floor. Except on the fourth floor, Pokémon had to remain contained in their pokeballs. To avoid any untoward mishaps, this was done.
While everything was going on, in the middle of the dance floor, Lucian sighed as a Red-haired man shouted, "Guys, hurry up! Let's simplify it!" before beginning to dance in what could only be described as "The Awkward Freestyle." Lucian said "Aaron, you simply appear to have no idea what the hell you're doing."
Aaron halted his dance and scowled. I'll have you know that I'm freestyling and I do know what I'm doing.
A voice interjected. A man with brilliant orange hair approached holding out a red cup and said, "Yo guys, stop dancing and start drinking!" He mumbled loudly, "You guys have got to sample this Apple Juice... it tastessssss... sooooooooo," before crashing into Lucian's arms. Lucian stated loudly after blinking. "Are you certain that you're okay, Flint?
"If I'm not mistaken, this cocktail is called an appletini." Aaron and Lucian turned to look at Bertha, the final member of their elite, who was holding the cup. Lucian scowled as Aaron began to giggle. "This is serious, Aaron! It might not be safe for Flint!"
Aaron guffawed. "WHOOOOO! In risk of passing out!" Everyone, including Aaron, started to jump about higher and higher to the music as soon as a beat drop occurred. Flint was assisted to the side of the room by Lucian and Bertha, where they discovered their Champion alone and sipping juice. She sighed and got to her feet when she noticed Flint. She questioned the other woman. "What went wrong with him this time?"
"If I'm understanding this right, to put it politely..." She started, but Lucian interrupted her. "He's wasted. Very poorly, in fact."
Says a soft voice. "I think it will be beneficial. You usually anticipate a few attendees in his state at events of this nature." Different elites turned and reacted in different ways. Bertha's face remained the same, Cynthia's eyes grew somewhat wider, and Lucian's face changed colour to an intense shade of pink. Before them all stood a stunning young woman. She had dark eyes, and a long, black ponytail. She was dressed in a stunning dark blue outfit that highlighted her curves and squeezed her chest.
Lucian lost his normal coolness and looked away to hide his blush from the gorgeous female. It was Bertha who spoke first. "Yes, I am aware of this medication. It really will heal Flint's illness. It will be handled by me." Cynthia took the chance to ask the girl as Bertha assisted Flint. "Identify yourself."
The female grinned. "Erika is my name. Even if you don't know who I am, I do recognise you four. Lucian, Mr. Flint, and Miss Bertha and support Cynthia." The last of you, where are you? Elite…"
"Hey! Where did you guys flee to?" Erika said . "…Aaron." Aaron was staring at her physique as she turned to face him. She chuckled. " You might want to cover your lips, young man; you might catch some flies." Cynthia continued to speak as Aaron gradually closed his mouth. I am aware that I have heard of Erika, but why can't I recall you?
In an instant, Aaron exhaled and pointed at her. "You're a member of the elite in this area!" Cynthia's eyes widened in surprise as she spun around to face the girl who was nodding. "Yep! I am. Here in Kanto, I'm the grass type elite. I'm happy to meet you!"
Aaron mumbled. "You were highlighted on Elite Weekly! I never imagined you'd look that stunning in person!" While Flint was still sobering up from his intoxication, the elites gawked at him in shock. Erika joked with Aaron. "I appreciate the compliment," Before she winked and told him, he reddened. " But I have a boyfriend, you say." Aaron's eyes slightly widened, and he darkened to a shocking red. In response to Aaron's denial, Lucian laughed.
Bertha uttered. "This area you have is fantastic. We have a good idea of how fantastic it is."
Erika made a low sound. "It wasn't always so pleasant. We appeared to be a territory doomed to failure prior to the arrival of our champion and the taking of the helm. As the businesses built newer operations in other places, our region was polluted and had abandoned factories. Because of that, there was a lot of unemployment."
Lucian questioned her. "Who is your actual champion?"
Before telling him, Erika was silent for a brief period. "All of us call her Red. Just three years ago, she won the title, and Kanto has since prospered. She has placed us on the map and on the road to success. Though most people are unaware of it, she is a clever woman. She is also young."
Aaron brow-furrowed. "How young exactly?"
Erika grinned. "Quite young. Anyways the three men are not her type." Flint blushed on hearing that before hearing that she was not his type.
Lucian replied "She is too young for someone like me." and Flint was saved from embarrasment. The entire group were laughing from the incident which took place and then asked Erika further about the region, to which she responded with relative ease.
Second Floor…
"This game is nearly impossible, I assure you! I dare you to give it a shot!" Jet-black haired man spoke.
On the batter's box of the Pokémon baseball field, five people were gathered. There was enough space on the pitch for you to really hit the ball over the fence and have it land in the grassy area below them. It appeared as though the field was perched on a precipice above the entire city. A young woman who had purple hair and big glasses responded. "Come on Grimsley, it can't possibly be that difficult!" When he spoke, he firmly held out the bat to her. "So Shauntal, try it out! I'll even make my presentation to you easy!"
"Away from the route. I'm going to down him now." Grimsley let go of the bat, and a man about the size of a football player spoke. "Well, throw the ball, you moron! While I'm still young, here, anytime!" Grimsley approached the mound, inhaled deeply, and then threw the ball. The guy gave it his all, swung the bat, completely missed the ball, and flipped himself to the ground with a THUD that was tremendously loud.
Grimsley, another woman with dark hair, and a young girl with an abnormal amount of blonde hair were all laughing wildly at the man's predicament. The man on the ground spoke haltingly. "Iris, Caitlin, shut it. It's not very humorous..." Iris laughed as she answered. " Marshal, I beg to differ!" However, Caitlin remained silent in response to that.
"You did not twist your hips or plant your feet. Your entire body gains strength and baLance as a result. You basically did nothing more than swing your arms around, which is why you did a backflip." The voice was quite husky. The group turned to see a man standing there with very short, dark hair. He had a big grin on his face and was dressed in a white suit. Caitlin was making every effort not to gLance at the man in front of her, who was obviously incredibly muscular. Grimsley stiffened a little, but no one in the group noticed—and not for the same reasons Caitlin had.
The man with black hair cleared his throat. "And just who are you, Newcomer?" From the mound, Grimsley spoke loudly. Marshal hesitantly handed the bat to him after he extended his hand to him. Paul gave Grimsley a calculated look as he stood on the mound. The man gently approached the plate, planted his right foot, and lightly bowed his knees. He yelled loudly while slowly circling the bat behind him in the air. When you're prepared, there!
Grimsley took a moment to compose himself before launching the ball as far as he could. Paul shifted his weight forward and stepped forward with his left foot. He simultaneously pulled both of his arms, flexing them to the point where the suit he was wearing was almost torn. The bat made contact with the ball, which was then sent towards left-center field. The man yelled out and whooped. "Moving forward GONNNEEEE! I'll see you later." He raised his fist in delight, threw the bat to the side, and started jogging the bases.
Marshal and Grimsley exchanged expressions of shock and annoyance as the man handed the bat back to Grimsley while grinning and speaking happily. "Nearly forgot! Paul is my name. I belong to the elite group in Kanto!"
Shauntal exhaled and uttered. "You belong to this place's illustrious elite! But you're so young!"
Paul put a finger on his lower lip and said thoughtfully. "Actually, all of the elites here are very young. My bad. Our champion is actually the second youngest person to ever be inducted as an elite or champion in the history of the world! She was the second youngest; That's what I know."
Iris appeared unsure. "So she took your place before you did? Or did she outperform another of your elites to occupy their position?"
Paul chuckled and remarked. "No, in fact, we never engaged in b before she was crowned champion."
"Then, how does Kanto select its champion?" Grimsley murmured as he crossed from the pitcher's mound, a hint of mockery in his voice. Paul gave his speech a lot of thought before he spoke. "Winning a competition was how Kanto chose its leader. It was seen as a significant upset victory at the time that our leader prevailed. Because Kanto was viewed by many in this place as the washup region, everyone simply had negative expectations of him."
He held his tongue for a moment. "Her first action as Champion did not enhance her first public perception. Most people would have been content with her choosing the most formidable trainers to follow her and calling it a day at that point."
Mumbled Caitlin. "Why do I feel there is a "but" in this?"
Paul carried on. "Our Champion, however, didn't think so. She selected the four of us based on our ability to cooperate rather than how well we did in the competition. She viewed the four of us as a "How high is our ceiling?" question rather than "How high is our floor?" She was mostly interested in our room for development and what we would do as Alola's elite. She chose all of us as his elites despite the fact that none of us finished in the top 8 in the tournament."
Marshal expressed shock. "But, why, oh why? No offence meant to you or any other elites, but shouldn't she have chosen individuals who could vigorously defend their positions? She must have had another motive for picking you all."
Paul gave a nod. "And there is that. There is something that unites us all—something that we all share in common. We all knew this in our hearts, and instead of seizing over right once, our Leader decided to work to reinforce her elites by attempting to form the Kanto League. Because the general public is unaware of the bond we have, many people at the time thought it was a really bad decision. They now understand that we are committed to serving our community at any costs."
Shauntal spoke with enthusiasm. "Well? What links you all together?"
Paul said with a shrug. "I am not going to say!"
Iris blinks. "Huh? So why do people approve of you running the show if you still have something to hide?"
Paul made a small laugh. "Everyone has the right to keep their secrets. We'll be alright as long as we defend Kanto and carry out our responsibilities to maintain Kanto's beauty. Of course, we are the most powerful region in the world as long as Red is in Kanto."
First Floor...
Alder, Trip, Georgia, and Stephan were in the first floor where they saw the Elites of Johto, Alola, Hoenn, and Paldea. They were happy that Iris was not in the same floor and they talkd with the various trainers to learn about various battle strategies. Currently, Alder, Trip, Georgia, and Stephan were sitting around a roundtable.
Alder said "I feel content that Iris is not in the floor, she brings negativity wherever she is."
Trip asked "Yes, the floor seems peaceful. The world seems so much peaceful, I feel like something bad could happen in the near future as problems usually arise after peaceful times. We must be on the lookout for whether various teams could create problems in the regions."
Lance finished eating food and then Lance noticed Alder was with three young people whon Lance did not know. Alder was Lance's old friend and so Lance rushed to see Alder. Lance soon reached Alder and smiled at him and Alder smiled at him in return.
Lance said "You also lost to a young woman like how I lost to a young woman. Al least she let me to be the Champion in Johto."
Alder remarked "It is Green, right. She seems to be a decent person unlike the current Unovan Champion who does not have any sportsmanship. The current Unovan Champion, Iris, loves to insult trainers when she wins and she has always won her matches."
Lance then went to sit and sat between Trip and Alder. Lance then said "We need to discuss about the Ash clique. They are a group of trainers whose one connection is that they traveled with Ash but none of them behave good to opponents, they in fact insult them, and they engage in all sorts of behavior which Ash would disapprove of."
Trip then said "Yes, they are known as Ash clique for their connection to him but in character, they are the opposite of Ash. They are the ones who were present when Ash died. A few of them were present when Misty died. Their character change occured around the time Ash and Misty died. Their rise to fame also occured around the time Ash and Misty died."
Lance said "You mean to say, Ash and Misty died because of them? Because that is the only thing I can get from this. Ash's and Misty's bodies were never shown." Steven was surprised to hear Trip analyzing the situation so well that he felt like Trip could get the secret which Ash, Misty, Steven, and Cynthia kept among themselves. He knew that he would have to report this to Ash and Misty that Trip was able to analyze and Lance concluded the truth.
Meanwhile, Drew, Harley, Tyson, Morrison, Katie, and Kelly were walking around in the first floor. May had challenged Drew and Harley that they were weaker than her in Pokemon batttling and if they were men, they should take part in the competition. Drew and Harley agreed to the challenge.
Drew was dissaponted due to May defeating him always in the battle round and he wanted to prove his strength. Harley wanted to humiliate May as she was always humiliating him when he was taking part in contests and she happened to take part in the contests.
Harley knew that he would humiliate May before so May is having her revenge on him by doing that but he apologised to May but still May was continuing to humiliate him. Drew and Harley knew that they were insulted by May whenever they lost to her and they disliked that.
Tyson then said "Do you know what connects us? We were rivals to Ash and his connections."
Drew knew that Tyson had a point "Yes, I appreciate the bonds we have made together."
Harley saw Morrison walk rapidly to the buffet, take the plate, and then get the food on the plate and then was eaing the food rapidly. "Look, Morrrison is eating food from the buffet! We need to go and eat, otherwise there would no food left."
Drew, Harley, Tyson, Katie, and Kelly then went rapidly to the buffet, took the plates, and then got the food on the plates. Drew, Harley, Tyson, Morrison, Katie, and Kelly were rapidly eating the food for some time and then they finished eating the food.
Drew, Harley, Tyson, Morrison, Katie, and Kelly then walked and then they saw the famous Gym Leader, former Champion, and Top Coordinator Wallace walk. Drew, Harley, Tyson, Morrison, Katie, and Kelly walked rapidly to Wallace and then reached Wallace.
Drew said "Wallace, could you be a mentor to me? I believe that I can do well in Grand Festivals as I have become a Top Coordinator in one and gome to high ranks in others. I would also like to train under you for the battles." Drew knew that he made sure to compete at a Grand Festival where May and Dawn were not competing and so he won that Grand Festival.
Wallace nodded "Sure, I can be the mentor to you. Alright, I would love to travel with you all so could we travel together?"
Drew then said "Sure, you can come with us! It would be a pleasure to have you travel with us."
Tyson then said "I am also fine with you traveling with us, we all would get to learn a lot by travelling with you."
Some time before...
Steven was investigating the rocks in the volcanic cavern. Steven was investigating the rocks present in the cave and saw that there were many igneous rocks and a few metamorphic rocks. He soon saw Metagross come out of the Pokeball and indicate that Steven sit on it.
Steven then said "Fine, then!"
Metagross then flew rapidly on the ground and then fly and reach the place where there was magma deep under. Steven then was surprised to see Metagross go deep and then Metagross used Psychic and stopped what seemed like a boy from falling.
Steven then grabbed the boy and saw that it was Ash, the trainer who defeated him. He had no ill feelings despite being defeated. Steven was surprised that he fell and then he heard Ash say "Take me to Misty." and Steven nodded and said "First, you are going to a hospital in Slateport City where they provide the best medical facilities. Misty will then be called there."
Ash nodded and then Metagross flew rapidly and reached the cave floor and then flew rapidly in the cave for some time. Metagroos then reached the exit and then flew rapidly for some time and Steven and Ash were resting. Metagross soon reached Slateport City hospital.
Steben then got down and returned Metagross to the Pokeball. Steven entered the hospital and ran rapidly in the hospital. Steven soon reached an ICU room and the doctor saw Steven and Ash who was in a terrible condition. The doctor took Ash rapidly to the ICU room while saying "He has suffered a lot due to the heat and his arm has been fractured."
Later...
Cynthia was taking photographs of the murals in Sky Pillar as she was an archaeologist and Sky Pillar had a lot of history. Cynthia then saw Garchomp come out of the Pokeball which was such a rare incident that she was surprised what surpried her even more was Garchomp asking her to sit on it by pointing at it's back.
Cynthia then said "Alright, I will sit on you!" and Cynthia sat on Garchomp.
Cynthia was then surprised to see Garchomp run and then jump from the window while using Dragon Rush. Cynthia did not what had gotten into Garchomp used Sandstorm. Garchomp then went and held a person.
Cynthia was shocked "I will make sure that you will be treated." Cynthia then noticed that the person was Misty.
Garchomp soon landed on the water and then placed Misty behind and Cynthia carried Misty. Garchomp then swam in the water for some time. Cynthia looked at Misty who looked to be injured to her due to the impact from the force on landing on Garchomp.
Misty then said "Take me to Ash!"
Cynthia nodded and said "I will, Misty." Garchomp swam for some time and soon Cynthia got a phone call. Cynthia checked the phone call and saw that it was from Steven. Cynthia then accepted the call from Steven.
Steven said "Cynthia, come to Slateport City! Ash is taking treatment due to the heat of the magma."
Cynthia said then "I have saved Misty from the fall. I think both incidents are connected."
Night...
Ash felt fine and he was near Misty whose hands and legs had a major fracture. Ash was sad to see Misty in such a state. Ash and Misty were alone in the ICU room and Ash heard that he could be released in ten days but Misty needed some ninety days for her to be fully cured.
Ash asked "Who were responsible for ding this to you? I will make sure that such a person will get revenge."
Misty said "Brock pushed me from the top of Sky Pillar."
Ash then said "How dare Brock for doing that! He was responsible for my betrayal. It was Dawn and Serena who pushed me to fall in the magma filled cavern."
Misty asked "You mean that famous idol Serena and Top Coordinator Dawn did that! They deserve revenge! But what is the relation between you and those two that they did that?"
Ash answered "They used to travel with me in Sinnoh and Kalos respectively."
Misty realized something "Something is suspicious in how they rose rapidly to fame..."
Roof…
More often than he would have cared to admit, Ash found himself standing on the roofs of buildings. But it was already taking place. He was first unsure about his decision to avoid everyone after running into all of his old friends, associates, acquaintances, and even adversaries. He had cast a quick glance at Erika helping Flint sober up. He had seen Paul instructing the top Unova players in the game of Pokémon baseball.
Then, while he was climbing, he felt his blood start to boil. The traitors were there conversing with one another. Nearly every single one of them was in Kanto. He would alert his elites as soon as she had the chance. Ash laughed because Max appeared to have grown only a half-foot taller in the past six years. Despite the six-year gap, Dawn didn't appear to have undergone any physical changes, which Ash had to grin at. While he was aware that Iris and Cilan were infatuated with one another and had the potential to become partners, he did not know this for sure until they were holding hands.
But none of that matched to her initial shock at spotting Professor Samuel Oak engaging them in civil conversation. Since this was such a large competition, she attempted to believe that it was just a coincidence that Professor Oak had happened to run into them. This was always a possibility, Ash knew.
But the more he considered it, the more he began to worry that it was real—that Professor Oak was a confirmed traitor. The problem? He had to come up with a technique to demonstrate it. Ash was constantly looking around to see if anyone was not spying. Ash then saw Misty walk to him and she smiled at him. Ash was also seeing the Alolan Elite Four, Mallow, Sophocles, Lana, Kiawe, and Champion Lillie speak nicely with Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet.
Misty said "Iris and Lillie have the protection of Alola and Unova to do as they want. As part of the Pokemon League, Kanto has signed certain treaties that foreigners who commit crimes are exiled to their regions instead of being arrested but if we reveal our stories to the world, they would agree to have them all arrested."
Ash then said "You are right, Ash. I think the Professors were also a part of the betrayal."
Ash and Misty then saw Steven approach them with concern and Ash and Misty were concerned. Steven soon reached Ash and Misty and said "Alder, Trip, Georgia, Stephan were able to get to the truth as Trip analyzed and Lance concluded the truth that they betrayers are responsible for you two's death. Even then they knew that Iris and Lillie would be tough to go against."
Ash said "The more people that would support us, the merrier it is. As a large group, we can confront the betrayers. However, this is my region, and I am going to make sure that each and every betrayer has justice served to them just like how they betrayed us."
Misty then said "We will reveal ourselves."
Misty then said "I am not sure if we will get their motive of betrayal from this, they probably have destroyed all evidence present. Their motive is very important. How did they get so strong after the betrayal? There are so many questions which need answers and we will have to see."
Ash said "Some kind of Mega Stone, Z Crystal, Dynamax Band like power that powers their Pokemon is what I can think of. So their Pokemons are powered by what they carry around. Misty, do you think we should make the competition like no one is able to use Mega Evolution, Z Moves, Dynamax?"
Misty answered "I would like to defeat them at their full power but if they are using such a system, would it be unfair to the other competitors? I think it would be so we need to make a level playing field so Mega Evolution, Z Moves, Dynamax would be banned. The Pokemons and trainers will be inspected before the match as to whether they have items which power their Pokemons."
Ash said "That is a brilliant idea. They may try to smuggle their powering devices as Tera Orbs or have them in Pokeballs so we need to make sure that their Tera Orbs and Pokeballs are inspected as to whether they are normal orbs and Pokeballs or they are powering devices. We would make a rule that anyone with powering devices will be banned."
Steven then said "I do love Mega Evolution but if you need justice to be served, I support your regulations."
Ash said "It is unfortunate but to stop any cheaters, we might need these rules. I am sorry if you face any discomfort but as the Kanto Champion, I have the right to make such rules. The competition must be fair so that it is based on strength and skill. Powering devices are things that cannot be allowed in competition."
Steven then said "I accept your sorry. I am fine whith what you said." Steven soon walked away.
Ash then said "If Goodshow decided to keep the competition in Unova and they were using powering devices, they would easily win. We need to expose them to the world. However, I have a duty to announce the rules. We can do this, we can include the rules in fine print which they probably will not read due to their arrogant attitude."
Misty spoke "Yes, we could do that. That is a good idea. When we find the first powering device, we would track to see where the power is being radiated from. We have people like Blaine to help us with that. We will then investigate the area where the power was radiating from." Ash then saw a small drone coming out.
Ash then threw a Pokeball and said "Mew, go! Destroy the camera and bring the drone with Psychic!"
Mew used Psychic and the drone was brought to Ash. Ash looked at the drone and saw that there was no sign as to the origin of the drone.
Ash then said "Mew, remove the covering."
Mew removed the outer case and the drone had some parts and a radio receiver. Ash attached the radio receiver to a mobile device and found out that the receiver was destroyed which was a smart move.
Ash said "Misty, we need to be more careful. Did you check while speaking as to whether any drone was spying?"
Misty answered "There were no drones which were spying on us when we talked as I was looking around and I did not find a drone."
Ash smiled and said "You are so smart, Misty, for taking such measures. I guess that as a Champion, you need to be careful as to whether anyone is spying. You are indeed an amazing Johto Champion, unlike Lillie and Iris who ae bad Champions to their regions."
Misty smiled and said "Thanks for that, Ash! You are an amazing partner and I like being with you. We are together in confronting the world's problems."
Ash smiled at Misty "I love having you to be my partner. My purpose is to get the betrayers to lose and have my revenge on the betrayers. They will plead for our mercy and we will show no mercy to the betrayers just like they showed no mercy to us."
