It was finally Valentine's Day! Draco had spent six weeks preparing for this day. Harry always seemed to spoil him so he decided he would return the favor this year. With the Tournament going on, they barely had any time to go on dates! He waited patiently for Harry to show up.
"Hey Draco! Make sure you remember to breathe when Harry comes in! He really outdid himself this year!" Ron called from the Gryffindor table and everyone laughed. He stuck his nose in the air.
"If I pass out from Harry's outfit, make sure you wake me up right away." He replied back. He had Dobby cover Harry's room with flowers. He couldn't wait to see his reaction. He knew Harry was a secret romantic.
"I heard Weasley spent two months sewing Harry's Valentine's Day outfit!" Pansy whispered next to him.
"He did! Ginny said it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen." Daphne answered.
Someone plopped down next to him and he turned to find Lord Black.
"Hello little Malfoy. I know Harry is going to be looking extra cute today but you better keep your hands to yourself." He threatened and Draco gave him an innocent look.
"I'll try to, sir. Harry can get rather grabby and I can't deny him anything." He was satisfied to see the older man's eye starting to twitch and decided to push him a little further.
"Yes, I woke up the other morning and he had somehow snuck his hand under my shirt! I wanted to move but I couldn't bear waking him up. Harry is still recuperating from the second task." Lord Black picked up Theo's spoon and reached forward. He dodged out of the way and his Uncle grabbed Lord Black under his armpits.
"That's enough of that. We can't have you stabbing the students." He chided him and Lord Black glared up at him.
"I wasn't going to stab him! I was just going to scoop an eye or something." He pouted and his Godfather dragged him to the Head Table. Draco snickered to himself and sat back down. His parents came wandering into the room and he could see his Father had diamonds braided into his hair. His Mother loved to lavish jewels onto his Father every year. She seemed to have a new wand holster which was strapped to her thigh.
"Hello darling! Harry isnt down yet? His Father asked as he patted his head.
"No. We have plenty of time before our date though." He explained. They chatted for a couple more minutes before joining his Uncle. The door was thrown open and Herm appeared.
"Harry's coming!" She shouted and the HFC got into their places. The door opened and heart shaped balloons came falling down from the ceiling. Draco was sitting on Greg and Vince's shoulders while holding a bouquet of roses. He greedily took Harry's outfit in. He felt his heart start to race as his vision darkened. He blinked rapidly as he fought the urge to faint. Harry was wearing a white long sleeve top that cinched at the wrist before ending in a ruffle. He had on a red skirt that flared out above his knees with white layers. It had white polka dots and a giant bow on the front. Frilly straps connected from either side like an apron and he had on white loafers with red socks. Sitting on top of his head was a large red halo crown with a heart shaped sapphire hanging in the middle of his forehead. He reached for a handkerchief to stop his bleeding nose and took a deep breath. Harry gave him a happy smile.
"I'm the Queen of Hearts." Draco kissed the back of his hand before responding.
"You are the Queen of my heart. Thank you for spending another Valentine's Day with me. I love you." He dipped Harry and kissed him as the Great Hall exploded into cheers.
Fleur wiped her sweaty palms on her pants. This was her first Valentine's Day with someone and she was worried she would mess something up. She had already burned off a girl's eyebrows for commenting on her twitchy behavior.
"Hi Fleur. Happy Valentine's Day." Ron said from behind her and she turned around to find him holding a heart shaped box. She smiled shyly at him before reaching out to take his hand.
"Thank you. You too!" He led her through the halls to a classroom. She looked around as he shut the door behind him. It was decorated in pinks and reds. A bunch of blankets were laid on the ground with pillows surrounding it.
"I thought we could have a picnic inside. It's still a little chilly out." Ron said as he sat down beside her.
"I love picnics!" She said loudly and winced. Merlin, she sounded like an idiot! Who didn't like picnics?
"Er, I hope you like it." He shoved his gift in her hands and she could see the tips on his ears were red. She opened it to find a box of chocolates on top with something underneath. It turned out to be a light blue sweater with silver feathers embroidered all over it. She stared at him.
"I know it's colder at Hogwarts than in France so I thought it might help keep you warm and I thought the feathers would represent your Veela heritage." He rambled and she cut him off with a kiss.
"This is wonderful, Ron. I will treasure it forever." She swore and he blushed brightly. She handed him her gift and watched in anticipation as he opened it. He looked confused and she explained.
"It is a gift card to a fabric shop in Diagon Alley. They had tons of different fabrics to choose from." He grinned widely at her before saying "Thank you!" They ended up eating snacks into the afternoon and talking about their favorite Quidditch teams. She couldn't have asked for a better day.
Oliver Wood stared longingly at the Pitch. He still couldn't believe they had canceled this season. Thank Merlin it wasn't his last year or he would have sued the Headmaster. He narrowed his eyes as he saw something dart across the field. He walked closer and saw Viktor Krum doing laps on his broom. The other boy spotted him and slowed to a stop in front of him.
"I will not sign an autograph." He said firmly and Oliver felt his mouth fall open.
"Excuse me? Just who do you think you are?" He hissed out and Krum blinked at him.
"Are you not a fan?" Oliver scoffed and said "Of you? I've seen first years fly better than you!" Krum's eyebrows drew together as he stared at him.
"I know that is not true. I sweat and bleed Quidditch. I was born to play it." Oliver rolled his eyes. Did this guy hear himself? He knew he could be a bit obsessed with the sport but at least he didn't sound like a jerk.
"I'm sure. Your broom looks like it can barely fly." He saw Krum's shoulders tense and knew he had hit a nerve. Good, it seemed he thought the world revolved around him.
"I see. How about we play a game? The first one to get the snitch wins." Oliver stepped closer to the other boy.
"Deal." They played for three hours and he had never had so much fun before! Krum had broken a finger and Oliver was sure he had a black eye by the time the game ended. Krum was an excellent Seeker but Oliver was the best Keeper at Hogwarts. They both landed hard and he rolled off his broom onto the ground.
"Merlin, Krum! That feint you did? Outstanding! I thought I was going to ram into the stands." He laughed and Krum joined him.
"Please, when you did that dive? Excellent! No one on our school team is even close to your level!" He raved and Oliver grinned back.
"Sorry for insulting your broom. You just sounded like a prick." He apologized and Krum snorted.
"People often watch me practice so they can get closer to me. It's extremely uncomfortable." He explained and Oliver nodded his head in understanding.
"I thought you facing that dragon was pretty cool." Krum gave him a secret smile and leaned forward.
"Harry actually talked all of the dragons into giving us the eggs. He was worried they might get hurt."
"I knew it!" Oliver cried out and laughed.
"It's such a shame he doesn't play Quidditch. I just know he'd be wonderful. I can feel it in my bones." He complained and Krum snickered.
"I bet if you had Draco ask him, he would be happy to play a game." Oliver had never thought of going through Malfoy before! He had to admit that Malfoy was a solid Seeker.
"Thanks, Krum! I'll have to try it!"
Krum gave him a warm smile before saying "please call me Viktor."
"Only if you call me Oliver!"
Harry followed Draco deeper into the Forbidden Forest. He couldn't help staring at his arse as he stumbled over tree roots. Draco was wearing bright red leather pants with a vintage band shirt and Harry was in love. His husband looked delectable!
"I really love your pants, Draco. You look stunning in leather." Harry murmured and was pleased to see Draco blush.
"Thank you, lovely. They used to belong to Aunt Bella. Mother found them in the attic." Harry drooled some more over his outfit before running into him.
"Here we are!" He moved out of the way and Harry gasped. There was a small lake in the middle of the clearing.
"I had Dobby freeze it so we can go ice skating!" Draco held up two pairs of ice skates and Harry squealed. He had always wanted to go ice skating before! Aunt Petunia had always said it was a sissy sport and real boys played soccer. Thank Merlin those Dementor's had eaten her.
"Let's go!" Draco helped him get his skates on before he wobbled to the ice. He took a slow step and pushed off. He gave a gasp as he gilded over the ice.
"Draco, look!" He shouted and beamed at his beloved. He realized too late that he wasn't sure how to stop and ended up stuck in a pile of snow that hadn't melted yet. He could hear Draco laughing as he helped him up. He had a wicked idea and grabbed a handful of snow before shoving it in his face. He skated towards the other side of the pond as Draco wiped his face.
"Harry!" He gasped and Harry watched as he tried to come after him. The key word being the word try. Draco looked like a newborn deer as he struggled to keep himself up. Harry felt his heart melt as he watched him. He had done all of this for him, even though he was terrible at it.
He skated over and held his arms out.
"We can hold on to each other! It will be so romantic." Draco gave him a knowing look but still took his arm. They ended up swaying back and forth as music gently played around them.
Hermione Granger didn't care for Valentine's Day. It was a holiday made by big corporations. She felt that people should be romantic every day, not just the one day a year it was expected of you. So when she walked into the library to find the twins waiting for her, she watched them carefully. She wasn't sure what to expect from her two boyfriends.
"Hiya Herm! We have a little present for you." Fred announced dramatically. George held up a red marker.
"Most of the Professors are out today, including Dumbledore. We thought we could sneak into his office and graffiti his fancy books." She grinned widely at them.
"I love you both." She said and they smiled back.
"Aw shucks Herm, we love you too." They said and each grabbed one of her hands. They snuck around the halls until they came upon the classroom located above the Headmaster's office. George opened the window and helped her out onto the roof. They slid down the side and she hung her head off the edge so she could see through his window.
"All clear!" She announced and let Fred grab her ankles as she dangled off the side. She pushed on the window and gave a victorious shout as it opened. Wizards were so concerned with people breaking in with magic, they usually forgot to defend themselves the Muggle way. The twins were quick to follow her.
"Oh! Hello children." The Sorting Hat greeted them.
"What brings you here?" She took her marker out of her bag and grabbed a random book off the shelf.
"We're here to vandalize the Headmaster's things." She said cheerfully and the Hat laughed.
"How fun! Don't get caught." The portraits watched as she started making corrections to the textbooks. She found so many spelling errors! Who was in charge of publishing this nonsense? She would have to write to the editor. They froze when the door opened and watched as Mr. Black did the same. He was carrying a bottle of itching powder.
"This is awkward." He said and the twins came up beside him.
"Hi Lord Black! Itching powder? How old are you? Twelve?" They mocked and he rolled his eyes.
"It's a Black Family creation, if you must know. It causes you to break out in nasty boils. I was planning on putting all over his underwear." Hermione nodded her head in approval.
"I've already dipped his toothbrush in the toilet." She said and the twins both gave her identical looks of adoration.
"This is why we are completely devoted to you, Herm." They said and she laughed.
"Remember this if you ever try to break up with me." She wouldn't let that happen, of course. She had already put so much time and effort into them. They would be together forever.
