Harry skipped down the corridor, his arms swinging by his sides. Graduation was tomorrow and then his wedding was the next day. As he rounded the corner, arms scooped him up.
"Hello, my heart." Draco kissed his cheek before setting him down. Harry carefully looked him over before grinning widely. His soon to be husband was wearing a shirt with his face on it.
"What are you wearing?" He snickered before Draco posed dramatically against the wall.
"Luna made it for me. She said I should wear it to graduation." Harry pictured McGonagall's face and laughed harder.
"The Headmistress would kill you." Draco shrugged his shoulders carelessly before taking his hand.
"Where are you going, love?" Harry pulled him along before responding.
"I was going to go to the owlery. I found this odd looking plant and thought I'd send it to Cedric." Harry held up the bag to show Draco.
"Darling, that's poison ivy." Harry looked up at Draco before glancing around.
"I know. That's the point. Tonks owled me and said Cedric didn't notice her new freckles." He explained. Tonks rarely made a permanent change to her appearance and the fact that Cedirc hadn't noticed was unacceptable. Maybe having a rash would make him more aware of things.
"Have I told you today that I love you?" Draco gave him an adoring look and Harry couldn't resist kissing him.
"Ugh, I will not miss seeing that everyday." Ginny said as she walked by, Daphne looking amused by her side.
"Jealousy is an ugly trait." Harry said primly before throwing his hair over his shoulder. Ginny just rolled her eyes before dragging Daphne away.
"Let's go traumatize Pretty Boy Diggory!" Harry loved how Draco was happy to do anything with him. It was nice to just spend time together. As they walked up the steps, various hoots greeted them. Harry made sure to pick an average brown owl before looking at it seriously.
"Alright, Brownie. Take this to Cedric Diggory. Make sure you don't touch it." She left in a huff, her wing clipping his ear as she flew by.
"Oi! Get back here! How dare you touch Harry without my permission? I'm going to fry you up and feed you to Dave." Draco threatened, his fist shaking in the air. A loud hoot grabbed their attention and a brightly colored bird swooped down in front of them. It dropped a letter before flying away. Harry Potter was written in familiar script on the front. Harry made sure to poke it with his wand before picking it up.
"Hello, Harry my boy. I hope you're doing well. It seems we need to catch up. Meet me at Little Hangleton. If you don't show up, I will happily stroll into Hogwarts and kill everyone you love. See you soon, Albus Percival Wulfric Brain Dumbledore." Harry stared at the letter before looking at Draco. His fiance was looking confused as he stared down at the letter.
"Why would someone send you a blank letter?" Draco asked slowly and Harry realized Dumbledore must have spelled it so he would be the only one who saw it. He knew what he had to do.
Sirius sniffed before using Lucius's sleeve to blow his nose.
"That was disgusting, Pads." Remus said from his side and he pouted at him. His best friend and his hot French partners were staying with them for the summer and Sirius was about to kick him out.
"I thought you were always on my side, Remy!" He whined loudly, ignoring the other parents giving him annoyed looks. He didn't care what they thought. He saw someone try to sneak in and said loudly "Sevvy! There you are." He strutted towards his husband and gave a small smile. He was happy to let everyone know that he had connections.
"Sirius, I've already had fourteen complaints about you." Severus murmured under his breath and Sirius turned to glare around them. Everyone made sure to avoid his gaze.
"It's all misunderstandings, babe!" He protested, "I didn't mean to compare Greg's father to a troll and I honestly thought Hermoine's parents had an outhouse! Ginny told me they have to use leaves as toilet paper." He ended in a whisper and his lovely husband pinched his nose.
"Merlin, Lupin. I left you in charge yet you can not help Sirius behave?" Sev snaked his arm around his waist and Sirius gave Remy a look.
"Yeah, Rem! You can't make me behave?" His old friend looked up at the ceiling before sighing.
"I have many talents but controlling stupid isn't one of them." Sirius cocked his head to the side as Remus strolled away before gasping.
"He just called me stupid!" Lucius snorted at his side before muttering "Took you long enough to figure it out." Sirius looked around before he found Cissy. She was speaking to a group of women as he stormed up to her.
"Cissy, everyone is being mean to me." He sniffed before laying his head on her shoulder. She patted his head before her hand grabbed a handful of hair and yanked. He gave a screech before she covered his mouth.
"Behave yourself, Cousin or I will call Andy." She said calmly and he clamped his mouth shut.
"Yes, Cissy." He scowled at the floor before a voice called out.
"Parents and Guardians, if you would follow me?" Sirius followed the group, making sure to find a good seat. The stage was decorated with the House banners and Sirius felt nostalgic as he looked it over. It felt like yesterday when the Marauders were running across the stage, ready to take on the world. It pained him that Lily and James weren't here to see such a large milestone. He knew it would be worse tomorrow, his imposter symptom rearing its head. His therapist said it was only natural that he felt this way. He wasn't replacing James or Lily and Harry understood that as well. He would always have his birth parents but he also had dozens of adopted parents. He could see Griphook and Mr. Fortescue a couple of rows ahead.
"Are you okay, my love?" Severus asked beside him and he nodded his head.
"I can't wait to see Harry cross the stage. I paid Colin Creevey to get a bunch of pictures." Minnie stood up before standing in front of the podium.
"Thank you all for coming. I think I speak for everyone when I say this class is something special. I will-" Sirius started to tone her out as she went on, his gaze drifting towards the seated students. Something wasn't right.
Colin bounced in his seat as he waited for the Headmistress to finish her speech and start calling up names. A lot of the parents had paid him to take pictures of their children and he was making a nice chunk of money off of it. He didn't really care, he just couldn't wait to see Harry walk across the stage. He was going to look so cool, he was sure of it! As if he heard his thoughts, Harry turned and waved at him. He gave a squeak before waving back.
"Did you see that? Harry waved at me!" He whispered to the person beside him. Professor Trelawney looked around wildly before spotting Harry. She started waving quickly back and forth. Colin was sure the whole place could hear her bracelets hitting each other and he was sure he saw McGongall's eyebrow twitch in annoyance. She smacked her papers against the stand before announcing "When I call your name, please come up and get your diploma. Hannah Abbott!" Colin started snapping photos as she shook the Headmistress's hand. The names started blurring together until she said "Hermione Granger!" Herm's parents started cheering loudly until Harry stood up.
"Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, sorry." He walked across the stage and Colin noticed his robes had the Gryffindor crest on the front of them.
"Hi, Headmistress! Hermione couldn't make it and asked if I would take it in her place." The crowd muttered around them but McGonagall just handed over the rolled up parchment. Harry made his way back to his seat and she continued.
"Neville Longbottom." He spotted Neville's Gran right away, her vulture hat giving her away. Harry stood up again and crawled over someone's lap to get to the stage.
"Neville couldn't make it, so he asked if I would take it in his place." Harry explained and McGonagall made a face but handed it over to him again. He held it up so Colin could take a picture before sitting down again. She continued to read off the names and seemed to pause before saying "Draco Malfoy." Harry sprung up, his smile wide as he skipped up the stage. He opened his mouth but the Headmistress cut him off.
"Yes yes yes, we know. Just take the diploma." She said, her eyebrow definitely twitching. Harry's robes now had a green snake on the front as he posed for pictures. Colin had to admit he looked dashing in Slytherin robes. Maybe he could model the school robes for the catalog? Colin had to fan his face quickly as he pictured Harry in the different Houses robes. How cool!
"Harry Potter?" Harry just stood up before yelling "You can just throw it to me." The professor gave him a stern look before pointing at the steps. Harry seemed to sigh before stomping down the aisle.
"Thank you, ma'am." Colin started taking a bunch of photos as Harry walked down the steps, his yellow robs bringing out his eyes. Harry didn't go back to his seat but stood next to Colin.
"You're doing a great job, Colin!" He whispered and Colin had to pinch himself. He couldn't believe this was happening!
"Thanks Harry!" He whispered back.
"Ronald Weasley!" Ron's family went crazy but he realized Ginny and the twins weren't sitting with them. Her girlfriend didn't look concerned as she watched Harry go up to the stage.
"Mr. Potter, what a surprise." Colin could hear the sarcasm in her voice as the Headmistress handed over Ron's diploma.
"Hi again, ma'am." He said cheerfully. Tonks was still clapping loudly as she called out "You look different, Ron!" Cedirc quickly put his hand over her mouth as he gave everyone an apologetic look.
Harry slowly entered the graveyard, his shoes crunching on the grass. He made sure to keep his ears open as he waited for the attack to come. Nothing happened and he inched forward. He found Dumbledore in front of an old tombstone with a large cauldron beside him.
"Ah, Harry! I'm happy to see you made it!" Dumbldore greeted him brightly and he couldn't help noticing his eyes looked rather crazed.
"I didn't really have a choice, did I?" He asked and the former Headmaster laughed.
"That's true! I'm assuming you're wondering why I called you here, of all places?" Harry looked down at his hand before inspecting his nails.
"I suppose you'll tell me?" He asked and Dumbledore grinned happily.
"This is the graveyard where Voldemort's Muggle family was buried. It's a shame he murdered them. He might have turned out alright, if he was raised by them." Dumbledore mused out loud and Harry couldn't believe how long this was taking. He did have other things he could be doing.
"Oh yeah? So interesting." He said as he looked around, pretending to be curious.
"Yes! I will of course be digging up his father's bones to resurrect him." Dumbledore said casually and Harry whipped his head around.
"I'm sorry, you're going to what?" Dumbldore waved his wand and he was suddenly bound to the angel statue above the Riddle's graves.
"I hate to say this will be the end of us, my boy. The recipe says three drops of the blood of your enemy but we'll just use all of it. It's a shame you won't be able to marry the Malfoy boy." Dumbledore's voice had a mocking edge that grated on his nerves.
"Oh piss off, you dusty pile of bones!" He spat out before flipping off the old man. His stomach gurgled loudly and he sighed.
"Well it was fun while it lasted." Dumbledore looked confused until Harry's face started to shift. Draco squinted through his darling's glasses before shaking them off.
"Merlin, Harry will need to go to the eye doctor. His eyesight is terrible!" He complained loudly. Dumbledore looked furious and his wand was in his hand again. It didn't help him as an invisible force knocked him over. Harry's invisibility cloak fell off to reveal his Vice President. She was slamming her fists into his face while screaming "This is for my boyfriend's ear, you dusty Gandalf wannabe!" Neville helped him down and Ginny handed him the old man's wand. Draco tucked it into his pocket to give to Harry later. Harry could use it to roast marshmallows. The twins had bound Dumbledore as Herm looked over his notes.
"Merlin! If by some miracle this ritual worked, the Dark Lord would have been absolutely insane." She hissed angrily before setting it on fire. Fleur vanished the cauldron before summoning the Riddle's bones. Everyone gave her an odd look but she just shrugged.
"I would hate for someone else to get a similar idea later so I'm just going to burn them now." Ron looked lovestruck as he watched his girlfriend desecrate some Muggle's graves.
"Do you really think any prison will hold me?" Dumbldore spat out and Draco laughed.
"Oh we're not turning you over to the Aurors." He said cheerfully before grabbing his arm.
"I will meet the rest of you at Hogwarts. Make sure Harry is okay." He said seriously before spinning on his heel. He landed gracefully and saw Dumbleore look around in confusion.
"Welcome to the Swamp, Dumbledore." He could see the horror in his eyes as he dragged him forward.
"You can't do this!" The old man said and Draco laughed loudly.
"And yet, who is going to stop me?" Dumbledore seemed frantic now but Draco just tightened his grip.
"If you let me go, I will never bother Harry again!" Draco looked at him before smiling widely.
"You already had your chance, Dumbledore. Malfoy's don't give out another one."
He gave a sharp whistle and the water rippled as hands emerged. Dave swam forward and stared at him.
"Here's a treat for you, Dave! I hope you enjoy it." He watched as Albus Dumbledore was dragged kicking and screaming into the Inferi Lake. He felt nothing but satisfaction when he didn't resurface. Dave came up twenty minutes later and looked him over.
"Well Dave, I've got to get going! I would love to stay and chat but my wedding is tomorrow!" He ignored how relieved Dave looked as he apparated away.
