Ruthie sat waiting for her brother to get out of class. He had started taking summer classes so he didn't have to take as much in college. That lucky day Ruthie was stuck with him. Finally the final bell rang and Simon came out to find his little sister.
"So how was your math class?" Ruthie asked Simon?
"Lovely and also so boring, how can he teach this class without falling asleep? By the way next time you can just go over to the McDonald's and wait maybe you can even go to the Chuck .E. Cheese and play." Simon said.
Ruthie gave him and evil look and said, "I'm not two anymore. I would only go there if I was taking Sam and David. You are the one who is so immature. By the way there won't be a next time this was downright torture. Now I need to get some food before I go to dance. I'm starving." They got in the car and Simon drove her to the strip mall across the street and they went into the Wendy's.
"So what do you want medium salad with a diet coke? Or do you want a Hamburger with no bun?" Simon teased.
"No I'll take a double cheeseburger with a root beer and a small frosty. What do you want Simon?" Ruthie said with a smirk.
"Well, I guess I'll take a number 1." Simon said.
They ate quickly and then they drove over to the building where Ruthie's dance was. Ruthie had just signed up and was actually looking forward to it every Friday night. She also had gymnastics on Saturday mornings. One of here friends from church was also taking both of these classes and Ruthie planned to spend the night at her house. She grabbed her duffel bag and headed for the door. Simon said something under his breath but she couldn't tell what he said.
Simon left the parking lot and went back to his school. He went back to his locker to get the books that he needed. Then he sawCecilia coming down the hall. He tried to hide his face behind his locker but it was too late she had already seen him.
"So you didn't have to take your sister to dance after all, what did someone come get her and take her to dance, or did you take her to that run-down dance studio across the street? Well, it doesn't matter because now you can take me on that date you promised me earlier." Cecilia said.
Simonlooked at her and said "Actually Cecilia,I barely even know you. Can't we do it some othertime like in a month?I mean your pretty and all, butI just don't go outwith peopleI don't know."Cecilia sighed andslammed his locker shut.
"What are you a mommy's boy? Are you trying to act just like your father, a reverend? Come on Simon live a little. For me?" Cecilia said.
