Second Singer Kherron quietly walked the path along the shore that lead to a cave. He was quietly humming Kashe under his breath. When he finally reached the entrance to the cave, Kherron paused, wondering if he should go in or turn around and forget the whole thing.
"I know you're there Kherron," a voice said from inside the cave. "The Merlee told me you were coming." Kherron paused a moment longer before walking into the cave.
"Rielle." Kherron said in greeting. He took a moment to study her. She was as beautiful as ever. "Rielle," he began, "Are you sure you wouldn't want to come and live at the Echorium?" he asked for what seemed the millionth time.
"Kherron," she began and she walked closer to him, "You know I'd rather be closer to my friends. You know I can't stand being locked up or shut up in a place." she ended gently, cupping the side of his face with her hand. He closed his eyes and signed. He would prefer it if she would live at the Echorium, so he wouldn't worry about her so much. He knew there was nothing he could say to convince her, but at least he could try.
"I know," he said sighing. "But that doesn't stop me from worrying about you when I'm gone." He opened his eyes and looked into hers.
"I know you worry, and I really do appreciate it. However, I do have the Merlee to look after me." she said grinning, while wrapping her arms around his neck, giving him a hug. He wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his face in her hair. They stayed like that for a while but were interrupted when one of the Merlee brought up a khiz-crystal. Kherron reluctantly let Rielle go so she could put the crystal in the chest. They stood there for a few moments in silence before Rielle spoke. "When are you leaving?"
"Midnight." he simply said. Rielle stepped forward and wrapped her arms around this neck again. "Be careful." she said before placing a chaste kiss on his lips. He wrapped his arms around her for the second time that night and leaned in to kiss her. The kiss started off slow and innocent, but quickly built in passion. Before long, Kherron had Rielle up against the cave wall. He ran his tongue along her bottom lip, asking for entrance. When he didn't get it, he gently bite her bottom lip, making her gasp. The Second Singers tongue quickly delved into her mouth, mapping every part of it. It had been to long, to long for either of them. Rielle ran her hands up and down his tone back. She moaned as his left hand traveled up her shirt to cup her breast. His lips left her mouth and Rielle moaned softly at the loss of contact, but quickly moaned in pleasure as his lips descended on the side of her neck, kissing, nipping, biting and sucking. Rielle pulled Kherrons face up and kissed him passionately. After a moment, the need for air became too great and the two singers broke apart. Kherron rested his head in the crook of her neck and pulled her closer to him.
"I should go." Kherron said when he had finally caught his breath.
"Wouldn't want to miss the boat, they might just leave without you." Rielle teased. She let him go and watched him walk to the entrance of the cave. "Kherron." she called out. When he turned around she continued. "Don't let anything happen to Renn. Keep him safe, please." Kherron nodded before he turned around and walked towards the docks. When he was out of sight, she sat on the floor of the caves. "I love you Kherron," she whispered. I love you too. She heard Kherron reply, using far listening. The young singer smiled and got up, picking up any more pieces of khiz-crystal and putting them into the chest. She silently wished for both her Son and her love to be safe.
