Wordless

"All you have to do is order me. Your word is my law, Ritsuka." the blond haired man stated calmly as he looked at the younger boy.

Ritsuka felt his heart clench painfully everytime he heard Soubi uttered these few words. He didn't want to be just a master to Soubi; simply someone to be obeyed and loved because of what his status was. He didn't want Soubi to love him because of Seimei's orders. In his opinion, love was something sincere and genuine, felt from deep within the heart, and not ordinary words spoken so carelessly.

Fighting back his hurt feelings, Ritsuka lashed out defensively. "Stop saying that! Just... just go away! I don't want to see you!"

Soubi smiled slightly. "Sukidayo, Ritsuka." he whispered, and vanished into the night.

Liar. You're just a lying adult. Ritsuka glared at his back irritatedly, feeling a dull ache inside him.

It was once true that he proclaimed his love for Ritsuka because of Seimei. The operative word is the previous sentence being 'once'. Ritsuka was cute, especially when he was mad or blushing red. It was easy to fall in love with the boy, the ever shy and insecure naïve child. Ritsuka probably didn't understand it, hence he never said anything about the issue.

He knew that it irked Ritsuka to no end whenever he brought up the bond between them. The boy was uncomfortable with such words, but Soubi had no choice. It wouldn't be right for Ritsuka to truly love him back. IF the real 'Loveless' Fighter shown up, it would cause many complicated problems. He didn't want to be caught up in such matters. It had pained him, when Seimei died, his own Sacrifice. He didn't want to lose Ritsuka, though in a completely different way though.

He dug into his coat pocket for his cell phone, suddenly wanting to feel the comfort of Ritsuka's voice. Swiftly, with practiced ease, he text messaged the boy.

Ritsuka flopped down on his bed, feeling somewhat soothed after a long hot bath that had taken away some of his resentment. As he stared up blankly at the white ceiling, his thoughts began to wander. And came to an abrupt halt when they saw the image of Soubi in his mind's eye.

He didn't know anything about Soubi; they simply had no chance to fully communicate without any complications sprouting up suddenly, or if Soubi was being evasive. He hated that most. If Soubi really loved him as he said, then he wouldn't lie; friends were supposed to be truthful to each other, weren't they? So why did Soubi lie?

His cell phone rang, breaking him out of his reverie. Soubi. He read the message quickly.

"Oyasumi, Ritsuka. Sukidayo. Chuuu." Ritsuka blushed.

"Baka." he whispered as he snuggled under his duvet comfortably. He was fast asleep when Soubi visited him later in the night.
