Disclaimer: I don't own any Inu-Yasha characters. I'm just using them plus
my own in this story.
A/N: Hope you'll like this chapter. Sorry if Inu-Yasha or any of the characters don't seem to be like themselves but act differently. I can't help but not do personalities the wrong way. Anyways....On with the fic!
Chapter 6
* ... two weeks have passed and I still haven't found a way to get home. It seems to me that it might be impossible. I'm losing hope. I don't want to stay much longer for fear I might be irritating everybody. For some reason I feel as if they don't like me much. But I'll do anything and stay with anybody for the chance to go home. On another note Inu-Yasha has found another 'shikon shard' as he calls it. He seemed quite happy and gave it to Kagome to keep on a necklace. I notice that they are putting all these shards together to make a sphere shaped jewel. It's almost half finish from what I can tell. I hope that he'll be able to get his wish and become a full demon or whatever he wants. Even though he's ignoring me for some reason even if I try to make conversation he's... *
"Kyaru?"
"Huh?" Kyaru looked up from her digital diary to see Kagome looking down at her. They had stopped to eat and rest for an hour or so, so Kyaru decided to sit by a tree and type.
"We're about to leave so be ready in a minute?"
"Ok." Kyaru finished typing her sentence closed the top and got up to help finish packing up.
"What's wrong Kyaru? You usually seem happy, did something happen?" Kagome looked at Kyaru with a concerned face.
'Well finally somebody notices I'm not feeling well!' Kyaru thought and smirked. "No...no nothing's wrong don't worry. I just feel strange lately."
"What do you mean?"
"Well...I don't know. I feel like I'm changing or maybe it's because I'm here. I can't explain it." Kyaru finally said after some thinking on how to explain the way she was feeling the past three days.

A few hours later the group found a village and decided to stay there that night. They found an inn and were going to go to their beds when they noticed Kyaru walking out the door. She looked around in different directions thinking which way she should go first. Finally deciding on going right she turned and started walk when a strong hand grabbed hold of her arm.
"And where do you think you're going?!" Inu-Yasha growled. He couldn't believe this girl. She wanted to stay with them but whenever the chance arose she'd leave them and start looking around places herself.
"I told you when we entered through the gate that I wanted to find a mystic!" She retorted. She had no time for this and started to struggle to get free but he wouldn't let her go.
"I told you! You can't and won't go anywhere alone! What will it take for you to understand that?"
"I understood what you said. But I don't need to listen to you. You're not my father or guardian and you have no authority over me so I can do whatever I please! Now let go!" Kyaru was starting to call attention and was making a scene. She noticed and decided to try and take advantage to the situation. "You know, it's like you don't want me! It's so obvious you don't me hanging around with you so why don't you just let go of my arm and let me try to find a way home!" Tears started to roll down Kyaru's face. All part of the act of course and this bothered Inu-Yasha when he made girls cry so he let go and went back inside the inn grumbling.
Kyaru happy, wiped away her tears and went in search of a mystics hut. When she found one she slid the door and went in.
"Welcome my child. Come sit down." An old woman's voice was heard from the shadows. The room Kyaru was currently in was filled with candles and incense. She went to sit down and bowed respectfully to her elder.
"Now child, what is it that you want?" The mystic woman asked.
"I-I well I..." Kyaru always had difficulty saying this part because it always sounded odd.
"Yes...go on dear." The woman urged her on.
"I...I want to go back home."

Inu Yasha grumbled. Hated scenes and hated the girl for crying. He knew her crying was fake but he didn't want any problems so he just went inside.
"Why don't you follow her?" Miroku asked him.
"Because she's a bitch. Didn't you see what she just did?"
"Well yeah. But aren't you worried about her? The shikon shard?"
"The girl no. The shard yes."
"So why not follow her? You'd make sure she and the shard are safe at the same time would you not?"
"Yeah..." Inu-Yasha sighed and looked down.
"Are you afraid of something?"
"No! Why the hell would I be afraid of something?" Inu-Yasha gave Miroku this look that looked like he thought Miroku had just said the dumbest thing ever.
"Well...She does resemble Kagome a bit wouldn't you say?"
"Why would you think that?! She's different from Kagome. In every way possible."
"Inu-Yasha...Her hair may be a bit longer, her eyes a bit darker but that's all that's different. You'd think the two are sisters or something! The personalities are so alike that if Kyaru's hair was shorter and her eyes were blue Kagome would have an exact double!"
"And you point is? Why would I be afraid?"
"Afraid to fall in love with another Kagome? You already have problems with her and Kikyo and you don't need another girl to mess things up. Am I right or what?"
Inu-Yasha stared at Miroku and his eyes started to squint. 'How could he know anything and everything about they way I think?! But there's no way I'd ever love that girl. Everybody thinks she's one of the nicest people in the world but I see right through her.But...why...why was it that I hugged her back those weeks ago? '
"She's different and that's that. There's no way I'd ever even like a girl like her."

After Kyaru explained what had happened and how she had gotten into this time the old mystic decided to take a look at the necklace. She eyed the pendant and concentrated on the shard situated in the middle.
"Well the answer is simple my dear!" The woman finally looked up and smiled at Kyaru.
"What do I have to do?" Kyaru asked her.
"Well I don't know what you were thinking of before when you first clenched this in your hand but...to get home you must hold this in your hand, squeeze it like you did before and think of home. Then unclench your hands and you should arrive home safely and soundly, hopefully in your own time. And if you'd like to come back here you must think of the past and your companions you say you have with you."
"That's...all?" Kyaru said astonished.
"Yes my dear. Amazing isn't it?"
"Yes! Yes it is! Thank you so much! Kyaru left some gold coins for the woman and started to run back to the inn.
'Of course! Why didn't I think of this before? I could have just reversed the spell thing and gone back home weeks ago! Ahhh stupid me! When I'm flustered I never think things through! Oh wait 'till I tell everybody! They'll be so happy for me. And of course Inu-Yasha will be happy I'm gone! Hmph...ok trailing off to unhapy thoughts. Think of home...home...home..."

Her loud footsteps could be heard from 100 feet away. They seemed heavy and fast. She knocked on the inn door. It slid open and she greeted the innkeeper with a flushed smile and ran up to her room where her friends were. They were all awake waiting for her. It wasn't late but it was dark and they were worried.
"Do you think we should go look for her?" Sango asked.
"No. I hear her racing up the hallway now. For a girl she's very loud." Inu- Yasha said. He looked bored and sat against the wall.
She slid the door open and saw all of them. And they all saw her. Her breathing was heavy and she was of course very tired of running. They would have asked her what happened or why she was running. But when she looked up there was a smile on her face. An innocent smile that only children had yet she was a young teenager.
"I've found a way!" She managed to gasp out. She walked to her mat...the one that was free and collapsed on it. She looked at the ceiling breathing heavily.
"Found what?" Sango asked. All the others suddenly paid more attention to what she was going to say. All except Inu-Yasha.
"A way home..."
