Chapter 14
"Lady Kyaru! You are faring well we hope?" Miroku walked up to her and held her hands looking at her intently. She blushed a little bit and just nodded her head and tried to pull her hands away, but Miroku continued to ask, "is there any particular reason why you have decided to join us once again – perhaps to see Inuyasha?"
"What?!" Inuyasha and Kyaru both stared in shock and semi-disgust at him.
"Did I say something wrong?"
"You're damn right you said something wrong! Why would I want to see her!" Inuyasha spat. Kyaru glared at him with annoyance and irritation, but her emotions were mixed with unhappiness. He couldn't quite figure out why. However, as soon as her negative emotions surfaced they quickly went away and were replaced by a happy-go-lucky face.
"Truly I came to see everyone! I missed you all so very much!" Kyaru ran up to everyone and hugged each one. Eventually they all decided to spend some time together by the well where they had first met. Kyaru was still amazed that magic and demons had actually existed hundreds of years ago. She asked questions she had thought of while she was in her time, and everyone had a different response. They in turn asked her questions about herself but she was unable to respond to quite a few of them. They whole group had talked for quite a while when they noticed that the sun was setting and everyone had decided to go back…everyone, but Kyaru and Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha." Kyaru stared at the blades of grass and her eyes flitted to her inu friend and back to the ground quickly.
"Yes?" He looked over at her sensing that she wanted to ask something. He sat on the edge of the well as she sat in front of him on the grass.
"I…need to ask you something."
"Go ahead."
"Do you like me?" Inuyasha all of a sudden turned crimson red and asked what she meant, "as a friend of course!" She giggled. She couldn't figure out why he blushed and yelled at her. She certainly didn't feel that way about him. Inuyasha didn't answer he just tilted his head and smiled, so she just took his hand and led him into the forest not knowing exactly where she was going. They fell upon the God Tree that Inuyasha had been pinned to.
"This is where Kagome and I first met." Just thinking about her made him blush a little. Kyaru turned to look at him and she noticed.
"It must be nice to be in love." She said in a dreamy voice.
"WHAT? We're not in love!"
"Denying as usual huh? My mom always said that my dad always denied that he and she were an item for a long time."
"An item?" Inuyasha was confused. Were her parents' objects?
"Oh right, you don't know. It means when they were in a relationship. I really miss my dad," Kyaru took a closer look at Inuyasha's face taking in every detail. He raised an eyebrow in confusion, not exactly knowing why she was staring at him. "You know...I never really noticed, but you're a spitting image of my father!"
"What are you saying? That I'm your father?" Kyaru just laughed. She laughed for a very long time and Inuyasha was wondering what's so funny. So what if he was her dad? It could be possible…it's not the most hilarious thing in all of feudal Japan is it?!
"You can't be my dad! He had black hair and violet eyes and besides, I don't think there are demons in my time!" She laughed again. Inuyasha just stared.
Black hair and violet eyes…
Inuyasha remembered that tonight was a new moon. He wouldn't want his companion to see him. If he looked like her father now, imagine when he looked human. Before night had completely fallen Inuyasha ran off heading towards the well.

"Inuyasha!!!!" Kyaru yelled after him as he ran off. She couldn't believe him! What a jerk! She sighed and decided to run after him, her human legs carrying her as fast as they could. They couldn't compare to his demonic speed. It had started to rain and the water just slid off the jade colored leaves leaving the girl sodden.
She had emerged from the forest and started to run even faster. She could see someone in the distance. It was a blur because of the rain; it was as if the appearance was changing. She was sure it was Inuyasha. Above her thunder roared and lightning marked the skies ever so often. Just as she had started to run again a lightning bolt had landed in front of her. She jumped and screamed. The unknown person in front of her turned to see that lightning bolts kept crashing around her. Her screams were faint, but they could be heard.
'My dream…it's coming true…'

Inuyasha had now fully turned into a human. He was some distance ahead when he turned around and saw the girl completely surrounded by white lightning. He stared in horror as he could barely see her body almost floating in the air. After it was over he ran to her pale body that lay on the wet ground.
'How can she still be alive? She doesn't even feel or smell burned or dead…why is this all so familiar?'
Inuyasha lifted her head and called out to her with no avail. He felt her face and remarked that she was unbelievably cold despite the fact that she had just been struck by several lightning bolts. He had picked her up bridal style and had started to walk back to the village and she had woken up. Her vision was still blurry, but when she looked up at her 'savior' she couldn't believe it.
"Da…daddy?" He looked down at her, he felt awful. "Am…am I dead…am I in heaven?" What cruel fate had fallen upon this girl. Kyaru had seen his human side and apparently he did look like her father when he was human as well. He felt so sorry for her.
"No Kyaru…you're alive. I'm going to take you to a miko who will heal you until you are better."
"I love you daddy…" She whispered and tears formed in her eyes as she fell into black unconsciousness.
'Please…don't say that. You have been hurt already. I don't want to be the blade that re-opens your wound Kyaru. I don't want to be the cause of your pain…'
Inuyasha carried her back to the village in the wet velvety darkness of the night.
A/N: Alrighty! That's my story. I'm really debating for how long I should make this story maybe just a few more chapters? Anyways…I'll see how this all pans out. Hope you all review! ^.^
