"Hermione dear we have something to tell you," Mrs. Granger said quietly and Hermione walked into the living room with them and sat down. Her summer holidays were always spent with her parents and they never had any surprises for her before so this was special.
"I still get to go to Ron's tomorrow right?" Hermione asked worriedly and they nodded. Hermione's best friends were boys, Harry Potter and Ron Weasely. She had a slight crush on both, but neither knew. "So?" Hermione asked and they toke a deep breath.
"You have a sister," her mother said quietly and her father got up.
"Excuse me; I thought you said I had a sister?" Hermione asked and they nodded. "How, I, but, oh my gosh who?" Hermione asked finally able to form a coherent sentence.
"Here she is," her father said and a girl Hermione's age, 16, walked in. She had bushy purple and red dyed hair over the natural brown. Her eyes were stunning, color changing, and green/yellow today. She had an average body with strong legs and a proportionate bust. She had perfect lips, lips Hermione had always wanted and a white, straight, gorgeous smile nestled between them. "This is Orenda," her father said and Hermione looked at the girl. "She's going to Hogwarts as well," he added and Hermione was thunderstruck. "Now upstairs so you two can bond," he said nervously and the two girls went upstairs to Hermione's room.
"Hey," she said and Hermione noted she had only a small British accent unlike her heavy one.
"Hello, Orenda was it?" she asked and the girl nodded.
"You can call me Ren though; Orenda is kind of odd I know. It means magic power, ironic huh?" Ren asked and Hermione looked at her.
"So we're sisters. Where have you been then?" Hermione asked and she shrugged.
"Everywhere, my family I can't even remember. Being your sister is news to me as well, but I've been a witch all my life. Are you one as well?" Ren asked and Hermione nodded, "Great are you a Wakanada, oh I guess not?" Ren asked and Hermione looked at her.
"What in the world is is a whatever you said?" she asked and Ren smiled.
"I'm Iroquois Indian and their witches and wizards always end up with some sort of Indian power, mine's music. It's really cool I can sing really well and practically anything can happen, but because I'm a, I mean it doesn't really work now" Ren explained quickly and Hermione felt a pang of jealousy, why didn't she get one of these amazing powers, but her sister did.
"Cool, so what have you been doing?" Hermione asked and she smiled.
"I've been touring the states as an opener band for The Click Five. I'm the lead singer and we were called B.E.E.P. but we broke up after the tour because I had to leave," Ren said sounding slightly put down, but bounced back. "What about you?" she asked and Hermione had this one covered.
"Helping save the Wizarding World with Harry and Ron, you'll love them because we go to Ron's house tomorrow," Hermione said and could feel her heart beating as the words came out.
"Great," Ren said and they packed up. While they were packing Ren kept humming and at one point Hermione thought her head was going to pop.
"Done," she said grabbing her wand and placed it in her jeans pocket. Ren grabbed her so-blue-it's-almost-black wand and pocketed it as well and followed her downstairs.
"Okay girls, we'll see you," Mrs. Granger said and kissed each of them on the cheek. She handed them the rarely used Floo Powder and Ren stepped through saying 'The Burrow' followed by Hermione.
