A/N: I was listening to my Lacuna Coil C.D. when I heard the song and immediately thought of Hermione and Draco. So I used their song Angel's Punishment and wrote this song fic.
Angel's PunishmentHermione Granger ran, the haunting yells floating after her making tears fall from her brown eyes. The horrible image of his face appeared when she closed them.
Destruction
War
His memory was destroying her from the inside out causing a helpless pain, a nagging sense of loneliness. She remembered how Draco would hurt her pride but now that he was gone, her will had left her. She missed him dearly.
To fight in defense
Forgotten words
Of friendly hate
War – Destruction
War – Destruction
Hermione kept running, afraid of what would happen if she stopped. A sudden cold crept over her, sending shivers up her spine. She stumbled over reminisce of fallen trees trying to find a way from her memories of him.
I don't know why A soul deceased
A broken hope
A choking breeze
War – Destruction
War – Destruction
With a thud she fell down a small hill holding herself up on her hands and knees and breathing heavily, her heart pounding out of her chest. She was weak, she needed rest. The soft, wet leaves felt good on her warm skin. Can't you take me away from your lies? Destruction
Dark Paradise
Collecting souls
To analyze
War – Destruction
War – Destruction
A howling wind erupted from out of no where blowing leaves, and rustling trees. Hermione closed up more around herself wanting warmth and a sense of protection. She wanted to hear his hateful words, to see his perfect blonde hair, his intense blue gray eyes. Anything was better than this. The feeling of eternal loneliness that had seeped into her so quickly. She longed for his smirk as he spoke her name. It was him, she wanted but he was gone, never to be seen again. He was dead forever; she would never see his handsome body, or shaggy hair. Hermione hated this feeling.
The bitter blood
Of a children's cry
Inside the truth
Far from my sky
War – Destruction
War – Destruction
She stood back up and staggered onward, not taking notice to the cut on her forehead, the gash on her shoulder or the wound on her leg. Rocks were stuck in her skin, falling out as she bent her legs and arms. It was nearly impossible to see from the thickness of the woods. Owl hoots would shake her a bit but kept on walking until she came to a large clearing with grass up to her waste. It was warm here and the ground was dry. She lied down in a mound of dirt and listened to the wind. It seemed to speak to her. She listened closer. It was speaking.
"Hermione, I'm sorry."
The voice was familiar. It was Draco's, she knew it. "What are you sorry for?" Hermione whispered coarsely.
"I'm sorry for every thing I did to you, every thing I said. I never meant. I apologize "
"It's all right, I forgive you. I'm sorry as well. I miss you," she whispered sadly. A thunderous noise rattled the sky.
"I had to tell you one thing… I love you."
Tears swelled in her eyes, "I love you too, Draco."
It went quite suddenly and no more was said from the windy voice. Hermione reached into her pocket and pulled out a small knife. She lifted it to her wrist and slashed it, letting blood flow freely from it. She drifted into a state of unconsciousness as the blood ran out of the wound on to the ground. Just as death settled over her she mouthed the words, "I love you Draco."
Can't you take me away from your lies?
She was gone.
