Lazlo Talks to Statues (Parody of Jimmy Buffet's "Delaney Talks to Statues")
Lazlo talks to statues
As he dances round the lake
He chases squirrels through Roman ruins
And does the shimmy shimmy shake
He speaks a language all his own
That Lumpus cannot discover
But he knows he loves him so
When he tucks him 'neath the covers
Campers, Scoutmasters
Parties, sound blasters
Rocks sink, dreams float
Life's good, so there's hope
Lazlo is an artist
He draws pictures in the dirt
He likes to dance and loves to prance
He's the incarnation of mirth
He's growing up so fast you see
And asking lots of questions
Some Lumpus knows the answers to
And some he's looking for suggestions
Campers, Scoutmasters
Parties, sound blasters
Tide's up, sun's down
Life in Camp Kidney town
And some of the things Lumpus saw
Maybe he won't have to see
But there's a lot he wants to pass along
To the scouts at Camp Kidney
Lazlo talks to statues
As he dances round the lake
He chases squirrels through Roman ruins
And does the shimmy shimmy shake
He speaks a language all his own
Just a little like the others
And he knows we all love him so
As he nestles 'neath the covers
Campers, Scoutmasters
Parties, sound blasters
Rocks sink, dreams float
Life's good so there's hope.
