Title: Come Hell or High Water
Summary: Presenting Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell
A/N: I wrote this after the first couple commercials for season nine of Stargate came out and I was flipping over Ben Browder being on tv again because I love him. I forgot I had this hidden away on my computer and considering what I had to go off of, I don't think I was that far off on his character. Anyways, this is my version of Mitchell based on information floating around cyberspace and the two seconds you could see him on the trailer.
1/1
The metal was surprisingly cool, nearly icy on his sweaty palms. This ring dispersed atoms across thousands of light years and materialized them in a completely different world. Made him wonder if everything got put back in its proper place, if there wasn't a minuscule part that wasn't the slightest bit different.
Well, he'd asked. This was the deal he'd made. Get better and be on the most prestigious team on the fucking planet. Hell, it could be argued that SG-1 was the most prestigious team in the whole fucking galaxy.
He'd fought Anubis in Antarctica, nearly dying in the process, so he knew what he was up against. Enemies with snakes in their stomachs. Enemies that weren't even completely connected to this plane of existence. Weird assshit was going to happen to him, like it'd happened to SG-1 before. He'd probably be in more danger than he'd ever been in his life.
Hence the sweat.
His uniform seemed constricting, tightening his chest even further as he gave the Stargate a final stroke and straightened to attention.
"Lt Colonel Cameron Mitchell, reporting for duty, Sir."
Come hell or high water, he was going to prove he was qualified for SG-1. No matter what.
