Sora slept peacefully into the late morning. Riku had gotten a little antsy when he heard Sora's mother get up, but she didn't come into her son's room. Riku looked at the clock. It was 9:30 A.M. During the summer his parents liked to sleep in until 10:30 or 11 A.M. so he was ok for now. Sure he'd left them a note lying about his whereabouts, but that didn't mean they'd be happy about it.

Sora stirred awake around 9:45 A.M. The brunette yawned and turned to face Riku.

"Did you sleep at all?" He asked.

"Wasn't tired." Riku replied with a grin.

"Did you grope me while I was sleeping, Riku?" Sora teased.

"Of course not." Riku answered, feigning hurt.

Sora laughed lightly, pressed a kiss to Riku's cheek, and sat up.

"I better get home." Riku said, sitting up as well.

Sora nodded. "Okay. Thanks for staying with me."

"It was my pleasure..."

The silver-haired teen leaned in and kissed Sora. He pulled back slightly then kissed Sora again. He discovered that he really didn't want to go home (big surprise). Sora was discovering things too. He found that he wanted Riku's lips to wander to other places. The pair suddenly found themselves lying on the bed again, Riku on top of Sora. As if he read Sora's mind Riku moved his lips down to his friend's slender neck and kissed. A faint blush came to Sora's cheeks when he felt one of Riku's hands stray into his shirt and skim over his belly.

"Riku...what...?"

Riku moved back up to Sora's lips, kissing him again and the brunette moaned softly.

"Sora!" April called from downstairs. "It's almost ten! Time to get up!"

Riku leapt off both Sora and the bed blushing furiously and looking guilty. Sora was blushing too. He got up and opened his bedroom door.

"I'm up!" He called back.

The sounds of April making breakfast sounded again. She wasn't coming upstairs thankfully.

"Wait here. I'll get your shirt."

Riku nodded and Sora went to fetch his friend's shirt from the washroom. It still felt kind of dampish, but at least it was clean. Sora returned to his room just in time to see Riku pull his borrowed shirt off and throw it in the hamper. Sora tried not to blush and/or stare.

"Here..." He held the shirt out to Riku.

The older teen smiled and took a hold of Sora's hands, placing them on his chest. Sora's cheeks flared a dark red. He could feel Riku's heart beating beneath his hand. Sora had seen and (accidentally) touched Riku's bare chest before, but it all seemed so different now. Now that they knew of each other's feelings it seemed to change everything. It wasn't particularly unpleasant, but it was certainly strange and new. Sora dropped Riku's shirt but neither teen noticed.

"Riku..." Sora murmured.

"Sora! Did you go back to sleep again?" April called.

"No!" The brunette replied, turning away from Riku.

Riku sighed, picked his shirt up, and put it on. He turned Sora around again and pressed a kiss to his lips.

"See you later, Sora."

"Okay."

The older teen smirked and crawled across Sora's bed, squeezing through the window. Sora watched his friend climb down the lattice and vanish around the side of the house. He smiled and changed into clean clothes before going downstairs. His mother had made pancakes.

"Why did I see Riku sneaking around the side of the house?" April asked, setting pancakes in front of her son.

Sora's cheeks turned bright red. "Uhm..."

April sat down at the table and ate some of her breakfast. "You two are being safe, right?"

"What? Mom, no!" Sora clapped his hands over his ears. "It's not like that!"

Mrs. Everhart laughed softly and moved her son's hands away from his ears. "Then what is it like?"

Sora's entire face was almost purple he was blushing so fiercely. "We just kissed a little bit. That's it."

"Well...when the time comes..."

"Ahh!" Sora clapped his hands over his ears again. "I'm not ready for that, mom! Not even close!"

"Okay. Good." April smiled softly. "But just so you know...you can talk to me about anything."

Sora nodded and returned to eating his pancakes. He was still blushing profusely.

"Mom?"

"Yes Sora?"

"Don't tell anyone, ok?"

"Okay Sora."

"Thanks..."

They finished their breakfast in silence. Sora put the dirty dishes in the sink and fidgeted slightly. He didn't know what to do now.

"I'm going out for a while with Sapphire." April said. "Are you going to be ok by yourself?"

"Yeah, I guess..."

Sora's mother smiled and kissed his forehead. "Be good."

"Yes mom."

"Bye angel."

April patted her son's head and left.

Riku had made it back into his room when his father was ascending the stairs. The teen quickly jumped under the covers and pulled the sheet up to his chin. He grabbed the note off his pillow and shoved it under the pillow then lay down. Just in time too. Lee poked his head into his son's room not even a minute after.

"Riku. Get up."

Riku "mmn"ed and shoved his head under his pillow.

"Now Riku."

The silver-haired teen sighed and peeked out from beneath his pillow.

"Fine. I'm getting up."

Lee turned and left the room. Riku smirked slightly and got out of bed. He changed into clean clothes and headed downstairs. His father was getting the newspaper off the front stoop. Riku poured himself a bowl of cereal and sat down. Lee returned to the kitchen and started making breakfast for his wife.

"What are you doing today?" Lee asked.

All I wanna do is makeout with Sora. "Dunno. Go to Destiny Island probably."

Lee nodded and continued making breakfast. Riku finished off his cereal.

"Can I go now?"

Lee looked over at his son. "Yeah I guess so. I have no chores for you."

"Thanks."

Riku put his sneakers on and left his house. He grinned when he saw April biking off with a cigarette hanging from between her lips.

That means that Sora is alone...

Riku's grin turned into an evil smirk and he headed for Sora's house. He resisted the urge to sigh aloud when he saw Kairi emerge from her house.

"Riku!" She called, waving. "Hi!"

"Hi." Riku replied.

"Going to see Sora?"

"Yup."

"Ask him if he wants to go swimming. I'm going to ask Wakka and the others."

"Okay..."

Kairi smiled and headed for Wakka's house. Riku headed for Sora's. The brunette emerged from his house as Riku was walking up the front walk.

"Kairi wants to know if you want to go swimming." Riku said.

"Yeah sure."

"How are your ankles lately, Sora?"

"Still kinda tender but they're healing. How are your scratches?"

"About the same as your ankles."

"Well...I'm going to get my stuff. I'll meet you and the others on the front walk, okay?"

"Sure."

Sora smiled slightly awkwardly and went inside.

I could always corner him in a lagoon and kiss him to death... Riku thought. Man...when did I get so kiss obsessed?

The older teen sighed, rolled his eyes, and headed back to his house to get his stuff.

Man my fingers are so sore. The cold really gets to them. Maybe I should wear gloves when I type... XD;; R&R Please .
