Authors Note: Just an angsty little D/G romance fic I wrote over a year ago. I got the idea from a site somewhere, but I can't remember which one. Review, please.

Behind the Glass

It was dead silent. Neither one spoke, neither one let even a breath of air pass their trembling lips. They couldn't believe they were standing there face-to-face.

Ginevra could have sworn her heart stopped beating for a few moments when Draco stepped in closer to her and cupped her face in his hands. "I've been waiting for this forever." She whispered, closing her eyes and savoring the moment.

"So have I…" Draco murmured. Ginny could sense Draco's face coming closer to hers, and a second later his cold lips were on hers.

Ginny wrapped her arms around Draco's neck and deepened the kiss. Draco ran his tongue across Ginny's lips, begging for entrance, and she gladly welcomed him.

She was in heaven. Not even the explosions lighting up the midnight blue sky behind her could tear her away from this bliss. She had waited for years for Draco to accept her, and here he was now, running his hands through her red curls and making her feel like she was the only woman on earth.

But a minute later, Draco pulled away. He looked out of the large window behind Ginny, his usually emotionless eyes filled with regret. Ginny turned around and saw the Dark Mark lighting up the sky. She looked down at the stone floor and willed herself not to cry.

"So you have to go?" She asked him quietly.

"I do."

"When will you be back?"

"I know…maybe never." He was still staring at the skull in the sky.

Ginny looked at him again. "Don't say that. You can't let that happen." She took his hands, "You've got to come back to me, Draco."

He nodded. "I'll try, my lo-"

"I hear him. I hear his voice. They're upstairs!" Draco recognized the cold voice at once: Lucius. "Draco and that little Weasley whore. How dare my own son sneak around behind my back!"

"Go." Draco demanded Ginny, tearing his hands from hers. "Quickly."

"Go where?" Ginny asked. She was on the verge of panicking as she heard the footsteps come closer.

"Anywhere," He whispered, "Apparate and get out of this place."

Ginny looked up at him with wide, scared eyes. "I don't have my wand. I dropped it hours ago when I was escaping from a Death Eater."

"Well, well, well…look at what we have here." Lucius' voice was cold and drawling, much like Draco's. "It seems as though my son is having a party with the little Weasley girl and neglected to invite me." Lucius put a hand on Draco's shoulder and spun him around. The look of pure evil on his face turned to anger when he saw that Draco had a wand pointed at his own father's heart.

Lucius let out a bark of mad laughter. "Trying to protect your little girlfriend, are you, Draco?" He asked, pointing his own wand at his son.

"I won't let you hurt her." Draco said firmly.

"Oh, I'm not going to hurt her…" Lucius said, taking a few steps back, "They're going to kill you."

Before Draco could utter a spell, four different curses were thrown at him. Ginny screamed. Lucius laughed. Draco dropped to the ground, dead.

The End

I know it's not the best…it was written in a little under an hour probably, and it was a whole year ago. I just found it in my closet and decided I wanted to share it with whoever was willing to read. Review, please!
