Many thanks to my reviewers! Hugs and lots of chocolate chip cookies! And milk. :)
If I Err
Set during "The Storm."
If in your eyes my constant fault
Is indulgence overwrought.
If I grant him far more sway
Than you think I should,
I beg you listen now to truth,
For he's endured much in his youth.
Betrayal, cruelty and spite
At his father's hand.
If he speaks with disrespect
Bear in mind, my friends,
No respect was given him,
Only anguish, burning pain
For truth said out of turn,
For this banished, scarred and spurned.
So if I err, so shall it be.
I beg you understand
What hell he's borne already
At his father's hand.
