"My Lord."
Raenef raised an eyebrow, looking up at his servant. The red eyes were slightly wider than usual, lacking the brooding darkness that usually accompanied his gaze. His mouth was even lacking its scowl, pressed into a neutral line. Raenef was pleased with himself.
On Eclipse, that had to be the most expressive face he'd ever seen.
"My Lord," Eclipse repeated, "I'm not one to question your...habits, but is that really necessary?"
Raenef looked down at his hands, smeared in red dye, and at the poor animal that suffered at his hands.
He pouted.
"I wanted to see if I could control liquids as well as solids. It was an experiment."
"Ah. I see."
Raenef stared at Eclipse, and he could tell plainly that Eclipse didn't see. The demon was staring at him blatantly - or as blatant as he could get - with something akin to horror, or surprise? Reading Eclipse really did become tiresome sometimes. Following Eclipse's gaze, he trailed the line of sight to himself, and not to the blood that was dripping on the clean marble floors.
Aha. Raenef smirked. Perhaps Eclipse just saw too much.
"Do you like my clothing?" Raenef asked innocently. "I told you I had been experimenting with solids."
"But it's...transparent."
"I think the word you're looking for is translucent. I wanted to see if I could alter certain," Raenef halted, "characteristics." With vicious satisfaction, Raenef made the clothing even thinner, if possible.
"Still, my Lord, I would advise you to keep to your original clothing. It would be too impractical for battle, otherwise."
Raenef glared.
"I will not disturb you any longer. My Lord." Calm. Unruffled.
Eclipse disappeared; a flurry of robes and long black hair, and Raenef was enraged to see a subtle smirk curve upwards on his servant's lips.
