The blonde molecular laid back on the bed, his breathing slow and steady. His sky blue eyes stared at the ceiling as he took the hand of the person next to him.
A nightmare had awakened him from his sleep, caused him to spring up into a sitting position with his breathing labored and irregular. It was only the presence of his lover that calmed him down.
All Jesse needed was to hold Brennan's hand, nothing more. Just to know that the other man was there with him. The only thing he needed was reassurance in the silence.
Brennan woke up, sensing his lover's tension. He said nothing, but merely tightened his hand around Jesse's and gave the blonde a loving kiss. He put an arm around the blonde and they both drifted off to sleep.
Ok missy, you got what you wanted. time to hold up your end of the deal!
