Prologue

Roy sat with his sat with his head propped up on his hand. He thought a bit. This may be the only time neither Ed nor I have gotten our way…

"But… Why can't I just sit in one of these seats?" Ed complained.

"I already told you. They're reserved," the attendant said.

"I'd rather die than sit next to him…" Ed muttered to himself loudly enough for Roy to hear.

Roy watched him as he walked to the back. As soon as he turned around, a gunshot rang out. Roy jumped up immediately and started to run to the back.

"You've shown me those photos at least fifty times today!" Riza shouted.

"I know!" exclaimed Hughes. "But isn't she sooo cute?" Hughes shoved another picture in her face.

Hawkeye let out an exasperated sigh.

Roy had actually thought Ed was serious about rather dying than sitting by him until he heard Hawkeye's angry yells.

After a while, Ed came back and plopped back into his seat. "Fate hates me…" he said.

Flashback

The moment Ed stepped through the metal detector, there was a long, ear-piercing series of beeps. As soon as he looked up, seven security guards were on top of him in an instant. He let out an annoyed sigh. How did Al get through this thing, anyway? He thought. Then, he felt himself hit the floor, along with the crushing weight of the seven security guards.

"What've you got?" one of the security guards demanded.

Ed reluctantly pulled up his sleeve, revealing his automail arm.

"Sorry, sir, but you'll have to prove that they aren't weapons…" the other security guards said sternly.

"Hmmm…" Ed thought out loud. "Anything need fixing?"

"Anything?"

"Do I hear an echo?"

"Um… Okay, how about this watch?" The guard pulled out a golden pocket watch.

"Okay…" Ed clapped his hands and put a finger to the watch. A blue light seemingly came out of nowhere. After it subsided, the watch appeared good as new.

"Wow…"

A person walking by had caught sight of the watch being fixed. "Hey!" she called pulling a locket of her pocket. "Could you fix this?"

All of a sudden…

"This phone is broken!"

"Could you fix my daughter's toy?"

"Oy! My glasses need fixing!"

Before Ed knew it, a whole crowd was on him, asking him to fix various things.

Thirty minutes later, he was sitting next to his least favorite colonel.

End Flashback

"Everyone please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for take off," a flight attendant said over the intercom.
