"Are you lonely?" came the question that break the stillness of the night, whispered like a night breeze.

"No,"Kyo replied shortly.

At his answer, Hotaru moved from wherever he was to Kyo's place, under a big, bushy tree.

"I said no."

A rustle of clothes, and he felt the shorter man settled beside him. "So I hear."

"You're invading my personal space"

And he felt the light weight of Hotaru's head on his shoulder, his golden strands, glowing prettily under the moonlight, mingled with his own, dark as night.

"Go to sleep, Kyo."

A few moments later, he heard he younger man's even breathing. And while Kyo had always thought Hotaru was weird by nature, he often couldn't help but wonder at how Hotaru could always noticed moments like this. Moments where he needed, carved for something but denied himself of it.

It turned out to be one of those rare moments, when Kyo dropped the importance level of "being alone" and "solitude" in search for being the strongest, and he sneaked his arm around the slim waist of his companion to draw him closer.

And in those rare moments where he allowed himself the luxury of being physically and emotionally close to other person, no matter how short, he thought that perhaps, perhaps being not alone was not a bad option afterall.
