Again, a drabble (100 words ficlet) written for OSA. This time it was for OSA Drabble Challenge #13: Seeing Something New

If ever you met me, you wouldn't forget me...

It was the moment when Sam forgot about the quest, about his master, about Gollum.

He only saw it stomping towards them.

His excitement drove every feeling of fear away.

This was even greater than the Elves, greater than seeing the Lady of the Golden Wood herself.

It was completely real, not something made of light and stars and magic, but solid and utterly alive.

He thought of the old rhyme from the Shire he had recited not so long ago, and he realised that he and his master were probably the only living hobbits to have seen an oliphaunt.

Special thanks to everyone who took the time to give me their thoughts about my last drabble. Again, any feedback is appreciated.
