The characters, anime and manga of Inuyasha are NOT mine. They are the property of Rumiko Takahashi.
This poem represents Kagome's thoughts on her voyages to the Sengoku Jidai era, and on how her concept of reality is being affected by her relationship with Inuyasha.
The Secret
I open my eyes, and I hear your scream.
You are me, and I am you.
We're two sides of the same coin you and me.
Together we create a whole.
Strange as it seems to me,
Through our differences,
Through our estrangement,
Both segregated in a world of dreams,
Separate, yet united by the same string.
Time is the only constant we know.
Everything else is just an illusion,
A mirror of what can be.
We never cry or speak,
We just see.
We see the world go by,
We see the birth and death,
We see things as they are,
Not as they appear to be.
This type of life we live,
Contains a blessing and a curse.
You are you, and I am me.
So why do I see you in my dreams?
