Chapter I
Nikkolus Dunther anxiously rushed down the hall towards Karlos Eventio, the Chief Executive in Charge of Security's office. He had never before even met the "Chief" and had only received his summons moments before.
"Excuse me!" Dunther apologized as he bumped in to a rather tall gentleman who looked like he could have hurt Dunther rather badly if he had liked. Nikkolus Dunther was a small mousy man of about 35 years. He was fairly powerful magician. He had to be to get where he was today, Senior Assistant to the head of External Affairs. When he was younger Dunther had dreamed of high things, when he had first been apprenticed he had thought he could even be prime minister someday. Now those dreams were dashed and Dunther knew he would probably remain in this position for the rest of his life.
Dunther finally reached the door to the office of Security. He stood for a moment collecting himself and scanning all seven planes for any malicious demons that could be lurking about. Finding none Dunther went on to open the door.
When he Dunther stepped through the doorway he saw a pleasant looking secretary, at least on the first two planes obviously just a simple guard imp in disguise. Dunther chuckled to himself. Arrogantly he thought "A guard imp, is that the best the "Chief" could summon?" He strutted up to the Disguised Imp and said with a smirk "Hallo imp I'm here to see Mr. Eventio he's expecting me"
"Oh" said the imp "you'll be Master Dunther then?'
Dunther responded with a curt nod, he thought it was beneath him to talk to such a low class Demon.
"Well follow me than" the imp replied in what Dunther thought was a much too familiar tone. They arrived at a door which the imp opened and waved him through. Dunther cautiously peered in the room but was pushed from behind by the troublesome imp. He stumbled wildly out of control cursing all the way and came face to face with the most formidable man he had ever seen.
"Errr… Hello."
