They Are Coming
A/N: The poem applies to The Two Towers and before the battle at Helms Deep.
The
noise of the battle comes to their ears, humming
The approaching
army, they are coming
The
soldiers wait in the gloomy and dark
Their heavy breaths are
hushed, they are coming
The
opposing force cares not for stealth
Their footsteps alert that
they are coming
The
forces are visible to each other
The defenders know that they are
coming
The
two sides prepare for a great battle
The land holds its breath,
knowing they are coming
