She looked down at the man that just minutes before, she had called her father.
For the first time in her life, Rose had come face to face with her father, who had meant to have been dead, and together the two of them had shared a few hours so precious that Rose knew she would never get them out of her mind. But now the two of them would never beable to share that together again. It had been all her fault, but she was glad
she had done it.
Rose looked up. There he was, standing yards away from her next to the tardis, waiting to whisk her away from it all again. Choking back sobs, she stood up and strode over to him, keeping her head held high. Looking back, she saw her mother, Jackie, holding her when she was just a baby, and a smile flickered onto her face. She had had the chance to see her Mother and Father again, just like a proper family. The three of them, together.
What had he said again? Rose thought back, trying to remember ...

"That's not ... me." Peter Tyler said, staring at her in surprise. Rose shook her head, feeling the tears welling up in her eyes. Her Father looked at her again, and understood.
"I'm not - It's not -"
"I'm sorry, Dad," Rose croaked.
Peter said nothing. He was speechless. Pulling his daughter into a hug, he almost began to cry aswell.
"Rose," He said to her, "I know, when you were just a baby, I was never a good Dad, and you don't even remember it, but I loved you, and your Mum. Don't ever forget that, Rose."
"I - wont ..." Rose said, nodding at him and hugging him tight.
"You've got your whole life ahead of you," Peter whispered to her, "You could have it all."
Rose smiled. "Yeah, I could," She said, "But instead, I'll have you."

She wouldn't have him.
He was gone.
Forever.
Trying not to think about it, Rose looked at her Father. He was pale, probably getting cold. She wanted to cry again. No, he couldn't be dead ...
But then again, he had saved them all. Everyone. He had done it for all of them. This proved that he wasn't just the old deadbeat Dad he'd said he'd been. He was, in Rose's oppinion, the greatest man of all time, and the greatest Dad.
Walking back over to the tardis seemed to take hours, the Doctor didn't seem to be getting any nearer. But then, suddenly, she was there, standing beside him. He smiled at her, and Rose realised that If she had lost him, she would never have been the same again.
"You okay?" The Doctor asked, glancing at her in concern.
"Y-Yeah," Rose stammered, smiling at him.
The Doctor bent close to her, "You did really well back there."
Rose smiled even wider, "Well - thanks. But don't thank me. Thank him."
The Doctor smiled, "Well, are we going anytime soon?"
"Sure, just - wait a minute ..."
Rose found herself walking back over to her Father's body. No one had come over to him, even the driver who had knocked him over had gone to try and set things straight with everyone else. Rose and her Father were left alone. Rose kneeled down beside him, putting a hand onto his shoulder.
"Bye Dad," She whispered, "I'll never - ever, I mean this - I'll never forget you. You said you weren't the best Dad, but you were, what you did there - nothing can compare to that. Ever."
Tears threatened to spill down her cheeks but she continued.
"And - and, maybe one day - we'll see eachother again," She said, her voice trembling, "I know we will. You could have only gone to heaven."
Rose looked round to see the Doctor nodding at her, a signal to be getting off. She nodded, took one last look at her Dad, and stroked his hair. He was everything to her, and now he was gone. But as she had said, they would see eachother again.
"Bye, Dad."
And with that, Rose Tyler stood up, and began to walk back over to the tardis, and to the Doctor.
