I don't own teen titans nor terra and this is how I think her life might have been. I'm not going by the comics I'm going by how I think it was. Ashley smith is terra's mom. And John Markov is her dad.

Chapter one: Before the beginning

"Alright your chemistry homework is due tomorrow goodbye."Mrs. Wright said as everyone walked out of the classroom and into the hall. Ashley Smith followed everyone out the door as she walked to her locker to get her supplies for her next class.

She was 17 years old and a senior in high school. She was 5'6 had the prettiest long blonde hair and the most beautiful blue eyes. Any boy would have been insane not to notice her smile as she passed the other lockers. She was the brightest student in Franklin high school and she was going to Harvard next year to study to be a scientist.

"Let's see I need my Social Studies book and my paper and pencil" She thought to herself as she was rumbling through her locker. She looked around one last time to make sure she had everything then she shut the locker and started down the hallway.

John Markov on the other hand was also very bright had brown hair and blue eyes but was the biggest geek in the school. He made a fool of himself most of the time by tripping over things. He especially did this when he was nervous or when he saw Ashley Smith walk by him. He had the hugest crush on her but he seemed to always stutter when she would smile at him.

"Man you don't have a chance with her", one of his friends said to him, "she's got looks, talent, and brains, and not to mention she's like the perfect girl all the jocks are going to want her."

"Sigh, I know you're right but she's just so perfect and I like her a lot." John mumbled to his friend.

"Well maybe I was exaggerating a teeny bit you might have a chance with her if you make a move soon otherwise someone else will."

"Thanks for the advice buddy maybe I'll try today after school"

"Or maybe now, look."

Ashley was walking down the hallway but a girl was standing right in front of her and Ashley didn't notice. Ashley fell down with her books falling all over the floor.

John thought to himself thank you god for giving me this moment. John went over and kneeled down to help her with her books.

"Thank you so much for your help." Ashley said grinning, "That was really nice of you."

"Um no problem" John said blushing like heck

Ashley giggled and said "Hey I think I've seen you around here before what's your name?" she cheerfully asked

"John Markov" he replied with his face as red as a cherry

"John Markov.., oh you were on the straight A's honor roll last year and you're in my biology class also." She answered him

"Oh ya I guess I am" said john now thinking over and over again thank you god thank you god.

"Hey I'm free after school want to come over to my place and maybe study for a little bit?" she asked him grinning

John was now staring wide eyed as his jaw dropped down. Is this a dream he asked himself in his mind.

"Well yes or no?" she impatiently but very cheerfully asked him

"Heck yes!" He blurted out as the whole school turned their heads around to see where the yelp had come from.

"Is seven 0 clock ok for you?" she said

"Yes" he replied very happily

"Ok then see you there" she remarked

"bye" John said

"Bye" she replied as they both headed down the hall toward their next classes.
