She loved to read, something her mother had never understood. Her brother liked to watch her read, to watch her face change with different parts of her latest book. She had never met her father, and although she knew she shouldn't, she liked to think about him. About how he liked to read too.
She had only one real friend. A penpal she'd met through a service in her elementary years. They'd remained friends for over ten years. She had a little half sister, who she'd called her brother until she was ten, was named Taurus, and she called her Rusty. Rusty was eleven, and would turn twelve in October.
She had a twin brother, whom she loved dearly. But her brother and herself rarely saw each other. She went to Salem for schooling, and he went to Hogwarts.
But this year, it would be different. This year, her mother was sending her to Hogwarts.

Isabella D. Malfoy made her way into the Leaky Cauldron, her bag hanging of her shoulder. Her hair, which should have been Malfoy blonde, was a bland black color. Her eyes remained the traditional Malfoy grey, but darkened when she showed extreme emotion. Sighing, Isabella walked into Diagon Alley, off to buy a new potions book.
Reaching Flourish & Botts, she smiled. The teenager walked in and started searching the shelves. Finally, she found a potions book that she could afford with her spending money and bought it. Walking out, she glanced around, checking if her siblings and mother had arrived yet. Not seeing them, she headed for the ice cream shop and bought herself a plain vanilla cone.
