Rest, nor Justiceā¦
Disclaimers: You guys all know the drill, I'm only driving JKR's character's crazy, and am making zilch in the money department. Read and review, feed me! Pretty please with fizzing whiz-bees on top?

There is no justice.
I have survived an illness-ridden childhood, a tormented youth. I have survived as a Death Eater through two separate wars, avoided Azkaban, and have crawled back into favor, enough that my name, while not liked, is respected.
Auror's curses I have survived, and several interrogations that have put colleagues into St. Mungo's. Over a decade of suspicions and inquests have turned up only that which I deemed enough to silence their curiosity, not inflame them into a more in-depth search.
I have weathered three accusations of treachery. The first was dealt with by poison, the second took many months to disprove and the third I awoke from two weeks later to see the healer taking measurements for my coffin.
I have taught inept, idiotic children who have no interest and even less talent for my subject. I have survived melted cauldrons, fireworks, Peeves, explosions, and Umbridge.
There is no justice.
In all regards, I have suffered enough. I have taught seven Weasleys, a Potter, a Granger, and even a Longbottom. My Slytherins have tried to blackmail me, the Gryffindors to kill me, the Ravenclaws to outsmart me and the Hufflepuffs to drive me insane.
I should be enjoying a peaceful interlude before I retire. I should be able to work on my own experiments after my minimal marking. I should not have to make plans for various calamities.
If there was justice in our world, I would not be looking at a new set of Weasleys, a Longbottom who is trying to cower under the desk, a Potter who is trying to match my glare, and, despite my every protest, another Lupin.
There is no justiceā¦and no rest for one such as I.
