It had taken awhile to get used to the sound of Mr. Edward's mix matched footsteps. Even longer for him to recognize the certain cadence in which he walked. Mr. Edward seemed to change the tempo of his walk depending on how he felt. Alfons had spent much time learning the lyrics to his moods. It soon became a fond and familiar tune, whether it was in the staccato of irritation or the swift yet drawn out eighths of excitement.
Alfons had gotten so wrapped up in that song first heard when they had first met; that the dance was not known until they had to say farewell.
